Situated between and near to the sultan Murat mosque and Fatih sultan Mehmet mosque, this unique mosque is as important as them both in architectural style and historically. Can be distinguished from them by the closed entrance wooden part. Yasar Pasha Mosque was built in the 16th century and underwent restoration in the 19th century initiated by the Mehmet Yasar Pasha, a Skopje governor at the time. Therefore, it is thought that the mosque was named after him. During the ‘60s, the mosque became an obstacle for the new urban plan and was partially demolished as a result, opening the way for the widening of the road in that part of the city.
