Apologies in advance if this is long but It will be thorough. I've been going to Cyprus regularly for over 25 years and never dived, this despite the fact my father was a deep sea diver in the oil industry many years ago. Sadly, Pernera isn't as busy as it used to be, which is an absolute shame. I first saw the guys from TABA when I was snorkelling in Pernera bay and asked a few questions. Following that I looked at their premises, I'm really a bit OCD about who I deal with for anything, even buying a washing machine! (Don't ask my wife) but everything about TABA says 'class' impressive premises, great facilities (selection of fruit cordials, water cooler, tea, coffee, even books for relatives waiting for others) All questions were answered and they ticked all the boxes for me, so I signed up for their "Discover Scuba Diving" course, Details are on their website but you do a little form filling, have a lesson on safety and working the equipment, then you get in a pickup and off to the bay, a few practices and familiarising exercises in chest high water, then you go off into the deeper parts with your instructor, 1 instructor per 2 people so you feel confident from the start. Absolutely loved it and I'm afraid every time I go back over I'm going to be pestering Taba for another trip! The owner Steve looks a bit like actor Richard E Grant, he was my instructor and he was superb, you get a really good experience for your money, nothing was rushed and the staff are obviously passionate about what they do, it's obvious this isn't just a tourist money trap and I've seen some pretty dismal looking dive centres in Cyprus that can't even keep their premises windows clean! (told you I was OCD, but to me it gives an impression of their whole attitude) I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Taba, the whole operation is class, with great staff and providing a superb experience for a very reasonable amount of money, if you're thinking about it, just do it!

I can’t speak highly enough of this place. We were a little apprehensive when we booked, but we couldn’t have asked for a more streamlined, comforting and chilled experience with expertise and patience aplenty. Pete was a huge help and helped my girlfriend to relax and really enjoy the whole experience (she was close to pulling out but ended up instigating a second trip!). If there is any part of you that fancies trying scuba diving, just give it a try with these guys, you won’t regret it and it will almost definitely be the highlight of the holiday!

I was confused of how many diving operators there is in Pernera/Protaras. I did some research beforehand and somehow I managed to pick THE BEST!!! I did 10 dives with them including my advanced-course + Nemesis and Zenobia. All of the staff are such a nice people. It seems very obvious to me that these guys love their job as they were so happy and energetic all the time. Next time I go to Cyprus, I will plan everything so that I can go diving with Taba🤙

Great diving center. I did the advanced open water diver course and fun dives. The communication with Steve upfront was very easy, the whole administrative side worked perfectly. The courses/dives with Manuel and Cas were just awesome. Not only a lot of great underwater landscapes and animals, but also a ton of knowledge. I felt in very good hands, learned a lot about diving. Super relaxed atmosphere, but very precise and accurate where it’s needed. All the other people in the team were super friendly and enthusiastic as well. Top diving school!

Did a beginners session with Taba with my son and absolutely loved it. Really nice people. Great tuition at a gradual pace suitable for anyone who fancies a go. You won’t be disappointed. Steve even made the theory fun and engaging! I would highly recommend Taba!!

Amazing experience! This was our first time diving and we received such good and clear instructions in theory, before going into the water and putting what we learnt in practise. Pete was calm and very supportive throughout the whole thing, and we were so happy to receive personal guidance all the way. The teaching, equipment and environment in which we dived all was very professional. We were so happy with our first dive that we came back the next day for another dive and will definitely be back next year!

Had the best time diving with the Taba team. Ended up doing 8 dives during 1 holiday including a night dive & the Zenobia wreck. The local dive sites were also stunning. All in all a great experience, professional staff & equipment, great guidance and some fun chats in-between. Couldn’t recommend these guys more!

Look for dive center no more! All the people at Taba are amazing professionals and very nice persons as well. We did 11 dives with Cas, Steve, Jaz & Jaz :o), Manuel, Michel, Trevor and others. The diving center is really nice and the dives were excellent. They are friendly and even took us every time from our villa to the center and back. We will definitely have another diving vacations with Taba and looking forward for amazing dives like Zenobia and the rest. Thanks for all Taba team! Fantastic experience thanks to amazing crew, fast and clear instructions and easygoing atmosphere. For fresh beginners like us the diving was very safe and we felt secure thanks to constant care of our instructor. Huge gratitude for sharing the magic of the sea with us 🌊🤗

We came here in our penultimate day of our holiday and wish we had on the first. Such a great place, staff were amazing Cassie was our instructor and was first class. We have dived/dove with other schools in the area and this was head and shoulders ahead of them. Definitely coming back.
