The beach is slowly deepening, sandy, water was calm. Weather was not windy at all. Many restaurants are nearby with great variety of food. Sunbeds and umbrella can be rented for a fair amount of price. A tiny island is in front of the bay, see attached picture.

A fantastic beach , swallow to walk in to the sea lots of sunbeds available 2.50 euro each and 2.50 euro for parasol. There is at this time no water sports available something to do with the council if you want that you'll have to travel on bus to Ayia Napa on the 102 to nissi beach very easy only 1.50 euro each . There are restaurant's near by for food and drinks next to the bay area.

Fantastic beach. It is shallow by the shore perfect for families, and you can swim out to the small island which is great for snorkelling, so much life to see. It can get windy or a little choppy so take care. There are shower and foot taps on the beach for use. It does get very busy so you need to arrive early in the morning. There’s a range of car parking options near by. Sun loungers are £2.50 each as are umbrellas. There are lots of food options near by and two water sport companies which offer a wide range of activities, we went canoeing for 10 euros each.

Nice beach in Protaras, bit further away from the Ayia Napa. Can get easily overcrowded, so I recommend to grab your spot in the early morning. Beach offers showers, local shops and watersports.

Beautiful beach. You need to go very early during summer time in order to find free sun beds. After 10:00 you’ll be already late

Beautiful sand beach with shallow waters. One of the most iconic beaches of Cyprus. This bring a problem as the beach is massively overcrowded during a season. The sun beds and umbrellas can be purchased for 2,5€ a day which is good price but you can't get any, unless you wake up at 6am and go there early. Toilets are available and there are restaurants nearby. It's sad to see the smokers throw the cigarette butts to the sand, it's everywhere. Please keep this gem clean!

They say it is one of the best 10 beaches in Europe but I don't know. It is good, very good. For children and adults too, the sea is so calm and shallow. It is also clear so you can see under the water for a long distance. There are some fish to spot but they are not the same or perhaps 3 different types which is not a problem of course 😉. If you need to hire an umbrella it's €2.5 and the same for 1 sunbed (as of Sep.2021). You can also get a pedalo, jet ski, self-drive boot and many more. Its great fun and experience. We also went on a jungle float which is nearby and it was so much fun. Most of the beach is sand however, there are some rocky bits and it can be annoying and cut you if you are one of the people who likes to swim at night. If you see them it's fine, you can always avoid them bit if you stay until late then you can hurt yourself. Overall we had a good happy time alhamdulillah 🙏 I hope you too enjoy it.

10/10. Lovely beach, nice and clean. Water is amazing and see through. Cant explain how beautiful it is. It has a lot of fishes by the small island. Beds are not free but there is a lot of natural shade. Its in a nice area. I highly recommend this beach if you are near.

It is one of the beautiful bays of Cyprus, but you need to get there early to secure a chair and an umbrella otherwise you end up sitting on the sand which is not ideal if you don’t like being soaked with sand. Overall is good , there’s restaurants and a bar where you can satisfy your thirst.

A very nice and charming beach in the north of the island. One of the few where you can swim without going 200 meters into the sea. Azure and warm water. A lot of people, but not like in Mielno.

You need to visit this beach when the water is calm as it can be completely different. I was there with much wind and waves, wasn’t great but I came back on a less windy day and it was beautiful!!! Probably one of the nicest beaches in the area, crystal clear water with a small reef where you can go snorkelling.

Awesome beach! Water is shallow and warm, there are public toilets, bars, stores near-by, a parking, though we didn’t use it so not sure how much it is, since there is a bus station close by. If you don’t come super early - you will not find free sunbeads, but there is some space for your towel. Best thing about this beach is that there is a promenade that leads you to Sunrise beach in just few steps. So you can take a swim there as well. This is my second favorite beach in Cyprus - first Nissi, then Fig Tree, Makronissos, and then Konnos. Fig Tree is more like a quiet beach, mostly for families, but it is very crowded. I mean, all beaches are crowded so just get used to that. At the end of the day, this beach is VERY worth visiting. As well as Protaras, it looks so cute and it is not steep like Ayia Napa.

Dropped points as it is far too busy, nice sand and waters but the amount of people was just silly, especially when people plonk themselves at the front putting up umbrellas, making it difficult to get in or out of the sea. If we came back to Protaras then would look for another beach.

Beautiful clear waters, nice beach. If you want sunbed (7.5 euros for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella) be there latest 10 (better earlier), even mid October.

A beautiful beach, sand like cotton wool, gives the azure color of the sea on the shore. Everything is nearby in location. The only thing is that it is very crowded and noisy. This is not a place for relaxation and solitude.

As with all beaches in Cyprus, access to the public is free, whilst the hiring of sunbeds and umbrellas is chargeable. A municipal car park provides parking within a short walk. The beach stretches for 500 meters, and the waters are clean enough for the beach to have been awarded blue flag designation. The beach takes its name from the fig trees located close to the coast. There is an uninhabited islet easily reached by swimming through the shallow waters, the location of which provides a good shelter for the rest of the beach. The islet is covered with low-level local vegetation. In contrast to other local beaches, such as nearby Nissi, Fig Tree Bay has become a popular destination for families. Water sports such as water-skiing, windsurfing, and parasailing are available. From April to October, lifeguards and lifesaving equipment are available on the beach from 9am to 6 pm. In 2010, during structural improvements to the beach, an ancient Greek tomb was unearthed

Great beach. We came a little late so we couldn't get a sunbed so we improvised. We catch a spot on the send, under a fig tree. Perfect shade but we were lucky. This beach is always crowded. I must mentioned Zorba's bakery near by. Great pastry. Somehow there isn't a classic bakery on the Cyprus. At least in Protaras. Who likes snorkeling this is a nice beach for that to. Around the island... Nice.

Love this beach. It can get busy but you can go further round the edges. Lots of activities to do. Gorgeous blue water. The only thing that can ruin the surroundings is the graffiti but it is routinely painted over.

Beautiful beach, blue Mediterranean waters, calm waves, little island to swim to, nice cafes to sit and look at the sea. Hard to find anything better.

Dear viewer, It's a nice and sandy beach, but by 10:30 it'll become jam packed with people. These 2 pictures I took at about 9:10 AM

Very nice beach, lots of space and sunbeds with umbrellas. Showers and foot wash are also good to have. Bins and recycling bins are available. Good parking for cars and it's free. Sand is nice and water is clear. Enjoyed our time here.
