Wanted pizza… for once we remembered this place. Always drove by and said we need to try. We ordered a small pizza, cheese and pepperoni. A spinach pie with cheese. Not at all disappointed.

Finally got around to trying Casertas for the first time. Had it on the bucketlist for awhile. Pulled in around 12:30 on a Friday. Went with a pepperoni pizza. Okay amount of peppperoni. Cheese coverage was good Not too greasy. Sauce was good. Crust had some crunch. Pizza was pretty thick and virtually had no flop, which is great. Good undercarriage. I added some red flakes and some fresh parmesean. Pizza gets a Google 4, 7.4 out of ten. Having a parking lot in the area is a huge plus. Glad I finally gave them a try. Place has very limited toppings and would like to see them add a little variety. Maybe some cupping pepperoni, sausage, bacon or Italian meats.

This is Rhode Island's Famous Pizza Joint. I really liked the pizza, it is a medium thick crust, with a buttery crunch and chewey texture. They only have 5 toppings so I got one "all the way" which includes Anchovies. I also tried the "Wimpy Skippy" which is a spinach and mushroom mixture with cheese, and I got the pepperoni and cheese added. The crust is different than the pizza and it is thin and crunchy and I see why it is a favorite. The dining room is closed still because Rhode Island isn't fun open due to Covid BS.

Their tomato sauce tasted like haven! The big size pizza can feed at least 3-4 people!! The spinach roll is also a must! And yes that is my husband’s hand in middle of the picture!

I am a business traveler, who stumbled upon the neighborhood of Federal Hill by accident. Within seconds, I realized it had a heavy Italian influence. Stumbled upon this restaurant by accident also. Being from the Philadelphia area, we would consider this New England style pizza. Not my particular favorite, but when in New England, do as New Englanders do.pizza was excellent plenty of sauce fresh not oily crust was wonderful. Glad I found this place. Will be back.

I used to get delivery here from my work. The staff is alway friendly and nice. When I dine in, they are usually quick and easy. The wait time is not that excessive and there is always tables open the few times I've eaten there. The wimpy is fantastic and my kids love the pizzas!

Solid reliable way better than average pizza. The sauce is spot on with a touch of acidity that I love. Cheese, Roni, and crust are all great. Grabbed a pepper pig and a spinach pie. The pigs were good. The shape is about a #10 envelope and have a hot sausage (cut down the middle lengthwise) with just a kiss if sauce In them. Very good in my opinion. Spinach pie had half moon crust that was a bit drier than I expected, but had an awesome crunch with just a hint of give to it. I prefer mom's to theirs for level of season on the filling, but this was well worth the price and I will order again the next time I'm in the area.

I’ve been going to Caserta forever and they’ve always been one of Rhode Island’s best. This rating is more of a 3.5. They managed to survive Covid which is great but the product has taken a hit. The pizza used to fill the box and was thick, in time it’s gotten smaller and smaller. They are definitely using less dough (or I coincidentally have gotten shorted my last 5 visits). The taste is still there and that’s great but I don’t see myself going out of the way to get it like I used to because it’s no longer worth it for me. Still would recommend but it isn’t what it used to be

Always great pizza. Never disappointed when I visit. Order the extra cheese, sauce, and get the pizza well done (recommendation from a friend)

Excellent pizza. Might be the best in all of Rhode Island. I make special trips to this restaurant just for their pizza. Was at a local club and they even delivered to the club so we could enjoy some pizza with our beer while we listened to a local band.

It tastes just as good as I remember when I was a kid. This place has been a staple of Providence for 70+ years, and has it's signature style of pizza with a thick crust. Our order was ready when promised, and everyone was friendly when we did some take out recently.

Haven eaten all the best pizza in NYC, New Haven, NJ, Philly, CHicago, Boston, and Rhode Island I’d say this pizza is easily in top 5. I like it more now than I did before discovering a bunch of America’s most famous pizza places. For me it sits at #3 behind Lucali in Brooklyn and Pequods in Chicago.

Dining room is not open.... You wait in your car in the parking lot and they will make your pizza for you. They will call your name over a loudspeaker Pizza is pretty good. Rather thick breaded. Parking can be very tight in the area but there is a parking lot available with less than 20 spaces.

Got half black olive and half cheese with a can of grape soda and a root beer. Great service with classic pizzeria decor. It's always a treat to come back to Providence to get a Caserta's pizza. Brings back lots of good memories. I will say their pizza was better back in the day.

A must visit if you're in Federal Hill of Providence, RI. Home of the 'Wimpy Skimppy' !! Great people! Fair prices!

Hands down, still the best pizza in Rhode Island. I've been going here since I was a kid, and nothing compares. Whether you order the deluxe with everything on it or simply a cheese pizza, you will not be disappointed. And don't forget to get a Wimpy Skimpy! Highly recommended!

Always a hit or miss for quality. Today had pizza delivered, was to be well done and it was not even crispy. Nor did the extra toppings I ordered was on it. 2 weeks ago the pizza was perfectly cooked with correct toppings.

Honestly I feel like I'll never be allowed in RI again but I just wasn't into this pizza at all. It's one of the most famous spots in the state but it just fell super flat for me. I left super disappointed but hopefully others will enjoy it.

Great pizza! It's unique in flavor and style. Cheese is a topping, not a base ingredient. The tomatoe sauce is chunk style and very good! No sausage or green peppers available and that was fine, just unique. They have their pizza their way and want you to have it their way as well!

This pizza and pie in a blanket we're like no other. The dough was soft delicious and had a touch of corn meal feel to it. The sauce was very light and delicious. The cheese blend was amazing. The staff were slammed and it's always busy. They do an amazing job to try and help u get in and out.

Sicilian pizza was never my favorite but this place blew me away. First time there on a visit to nearby hospital. Got a large for three people, took home 5 pieces. Ended up eating those that night. Reheated in cast iron and just like first served, light crunch on outside of crust, buttery soft on inside. Great sauce and cheese. Huge takeout business.

I love, love, love this pizza! It brings back memories of hanging out in Little Italy back in the day. Sooo, whenever I'm in town I have to grab a pepperoni pizza! It never disappoints.

Must do when in the Federal Hill area of Providence. Iconic place, family run, great food since 1953 so you know they're doing something right. Wimpy Skippy unique and flavorful, pizza tasty and crust was superb. Don't miss it.

  • 2/5 Jackie O. 1 year ago on Google
Saw review on Barstool , excited to try. Got a pepperoni pizza , 2 spinach pies ( for my girl and her mom ) and the Wimpy Skippy. Phone call was a bother I guess , appeared to be too busy or not wanting to do phone duty- I understand. Pizza was a total let down taste-wise. No flavor. Sauce was there-not much , crust was light and airy if that's your thing -not mine. Spinach pies - my girl liked it ( didn't love it ) her mother told me "That's not a spinach pie" , I really enjoyed the Wimpy Skippy , didn't know what to expect- but find myself wanting another , but 60 minute drive isn't worth it. phone call 2 stars , cashier (same ) 2 stars , pizza 2 1/2 stars , spinach pie 2 1/2 stars , the Wimpy 4 1/2 Not going to go out of my way , but if in area I'd get 2-3 Wimpy's

The pizza is delicious and service was great. The price for the amount of food you're getting is very good. Two large pizzas can feed my entire family.

I think the pizza has gotten very dry. I asked for extra sauce once and they said they couldn't do it. It's just sauce. The parking is terrible. The public can pay to park in their lot but those people going to the restaurant are out of luck. I think that's so wrong. Customers should come first.

Staff was exceptional and very helpful. Got a pepperoni pizza half baked to go as it was going to be re heated a couple hours later for dinner. Cooked up perfectly! Tasted very good, and had a similar fragrance of Pizza Hut. A good all around pizza.

Caserta's Pizza is a great place to go for consistently good pizza in Providence. I have never had a bad pizza here, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great pizza place. My only complaint is, I would love to see more options, such as specialty pizzas.

  • 4/5 Karen G. 11 months ago on Google
A different pizza. Square, delicious crust! And the world famous wimpy skimpy and spinach pies to die for! Service was amazing. The inside is clean, but a pizza joint. Your tummy will leave happy!

  • 2/5 Susan N. 1 year ago on Google
Yes, actually tried it! NOT the same pizza we’ve experienced for years. Smaller/thinner. Definitely not worth the trip.

  • 5/5 Anthony D. 1 year ago on Google
Probably not much you can say about Caserta's that hasn't already been said other than believe it, it's that good! Yes, everyone has a personal preference on the style of pizza they like but what you get with Caserta's is consistency. They have been pumping out the same great pizza for over 50 years now. And don't sleep on that Whimpy Skippy either! Maybe the best spinach pie you will ever eat! Most people living in the Providence area have tried it at least once but if you are from out of town and looking a little slice of RI, start here!
