Just Awful!!! We are still waiting to be seen 12 hours later!!! A dog gets better treatment at vet! I'm reporting this hospital! I've been here for over 12 hours and not 1 person came and emptied the trash cans in the waiting area or cleaned the bathrooms! No one can tell us when we are gonna be seen!!

I was admitted to the hospital for several days, during which I received some excellent care and some terrible care. Unfortunately it is the terrible care I am going to remember. A nurse injected me with Dilaudid without my consent, a drug to which I have a horrible reaction. The MRI scheduled for that evening then had to be postponed because I could not keep still due to the adverse reaction. The hospital then unnecessarily kept me NPO for the next 30 hours rather than allowing me to rest and recover before the next opening in the MRI schedule. There were several excellent nurses who cared for me while I was in the hospital. Unfortunately they do not make up for this traumatic experience.

The older lady with the blonde hair that is at the front desk that gives you a pass to the room needs to retire or be fired. She was so rude to a family I seen trying take their child up to see a sick family member. I actually overheard when the nurses told that family that they could bring a child to visit, the lady at the desk wrote in big letters “NO MINORS” on their pass which was completely uncaused for, she had already told them no, why cover the entire pass with that message, just being mean, I felt so bad for that family I started to say something but I didn’t because it didn’t have anything to do with me.

From the moment my critically ill mother was admitted to her death she was treated like nothing the nurses would talk about other nurses in front of her which my mother was trekked and couldn’t talk they never read her file to see she had loose teeth and hurt her by brushing hard til I told them not that u couldn’t see them moving Her feeding tube became dislodged. The nurse didnt Notice I noticed by the look on my mom’s face while Flushing it and I asked my mom did that hurt she shook her head and mouthed The words been hurting. I looked at the nurse and yelled. Is it supposed to hurt? She replied no ran out the room about hour later dr came stated needed ct to verify probability came out over 10 hours later she got ct then emergency surgery to repair but she had already got sepsis the lack of care and poor professionalism I will never go here or want any of my family to ever go here again my mom opted to turn off the machine and give up her fight after getting septic there’s so much more but this was the basic of the care she was given and it was none

Worst hospital. If I could I would give 0 stars. My father was admitted last week due to fluid in his lungs , a collapsed lung and has a chest tube in. The nurses and staff are absolutely horrible. They are unprofessional, rude, insensitive and should consider a career change. Even the charge nurses who should be assisting with these issues are also rude and resolve nothing. I was told that this is a hospital and not a nursing home and that they are understaffed and have no time to be doing check ins on the patients along with washing them or assisting them to the bathroom if they are capable of walking. She stated that they ask when family members come to visit they assist with these needs as they have no time for it or they would be there all day. There have been so many bad encounters with rude nurses at this hospital for the 7 days he’s been there it’s a every day occurrence at this point. You get very few in between who are nice but I can only say maybe 2 nurses were nice and the rest were horrible. I was told by a tech to take my father to the bathroom myself as she had no time for it, mind you 20 min before this she specifically checked his oxygen and it was at 80%. Can you imagine if I took him and something would have happened and I am not a medical professional ? This is a very big issue and this is only the beginning of my complaint against this hospital. Next will be department of public health. Patients and patients family members voices need to be heard and changes need to be done. These are peoples lives on the line.

If i could leave a no star in a review i would. The ER Department is the worst. The waiting room there is so filthy and dirty and the staff is so rude. I was having a miscarriage and they had me waiting the waiting area for about 4 hours until i was seen. Today as i have called the ER front desk a few times the ladies who have answered are so brief and so rude. This hospital in that aspect needs a friendlier staff and needs to keep that waiting area clean. SMDH!

I have numerous doctors at Loyola but the reason for this review is if a pharmacist can fill a prescription within 24 hours when one of your physicians needs you to have medication then in shouldn't take 7 to 10 days to authorize a refill. This is unacceptable and someone needs to take it into consideration and change this policy. Even if you need to hire a senior to do some data entry so Loyola patients don't need to wait. Come on it's 2023 not 1969. Thank you.

The doctors & nurses at Loyola are A+. The only thing I can pay them with right now is with my gratitude. If I had won the lottery I would donate to the hospital.

My mom arrived with a broken pelvic due to a car accident. The attending physician and pulmonary team did not listen to family members regarding my mom’s rare lung disease and now she’s fighting for her life with a predicted lung infection which absolutely could have been avoided. Shame on you Loyola.

Christina on the OR recovery floor 2 is amazing she is so understanding and compassionate she goes way and beyond her way to take care of patients and their family. She deserves so much credit for the amazing job she is doing. I needed a work note late at night to excuse me from work and she took action right away on contacting her charge nurse ( who as also amazing) and the doctor on call. Again thank you Christina we need more healthcare workers like her!

I was just transferred here from another hospital and whoever the Dr is whom I haven't met yet discontinued the orders from the other hospital.now I'm back in a lot of pain. At this point I would rather go back to where I was or they can discharge me without giving me the procedure. I wish I ve known before agreeing to come here

My emergency room experience was horrible. I was in excruciating pain and wasn’t seem for over 5 hours. I saw ppl walk in and be seen in way less time than I was there.

Keep deleting my reviews. The truth hurts. Hours late on breathing treatments people not sticking to their specialty apparently everyone is a therapist that diagnosis anxiety keep cramming it into your patients head feed them anti anxiety meds that were only taken because you all wouldn’t believe the symptoms otherwise. Short staffed guess what hire more people it’s a damn medical school and you don’t have enough staff to provide timely treatment? Then give attitude while my wife is gasping for breath. Observation department and respiratory therapy should be ashamed of themselves. You gambled with my wife’s life for days and solved nothing now home and suffering hit I bet you’ll charge full price to my insurance even though she is still suffering you resolved nothing. Horrible but I hope you all rush out of there like you kept insisting you were ready for. Had days to figure this out and did nothing thanks you so called professionals I guess I’ll take it from here and provide care while she suffers in front of our children. Your own nursing assistants know you don’t take black people seriously in that facility and your actions prove it
