BEDBUGS!!!! Stayed here back in September for a night on our way home from Yellowstone. Bathroom walls were COVERED in mold. We asked for a new room and were given one, but the replacement also had mold all over the walls. Not to mention when we woke up in the morning, we found a bedbug, and where there's one, there's more. Don't recommend unless you want to bring bedbugs back home with you.

Pool and spa were advertised. Neither was open. No refund allowed. I felt ripped-off. Filthy carpet and furniture. Cigarette burn holes in chairs. Coffee maker in room was molded. Washing machines out of order. Fan on furnace chattered all night, no sleep at all. Would have been better off sleeping in car.

It's rare I find myself leaving a negative review, however after my less than good experience at Baymont I felt it was worth writing one for. I booked a room for Sunday night online around 3am this Sunday morning, looking for a bed to rest in for a few hours before continuing my journey. Unfortunately, even though I had booked for Sunday, the check in for my reservation was not until 3pm the following afternoon. A simple mistake that should be easy to resolve. It wasn't. I called the hotel and Priceline and explained my situation . To cancel I would lose all my money. To get an early check in would cost me $40 more on top of almost 100 dollars for a room I only intented to occupy for 5 hours by the time I got in, and they they wouldn't be able to accommodate me/check me in until 9am. Because the reservation date was for the same day, they said they couldn't change the dates. After going in circles on my phone I decided to show up and plead my case. I explained I'd been on the road for many days, I was exhausted, and I asked if there was any way I could get a room to rest and they said they'd have to book a completely new reservation for me to get a room. Another $100 for a 5 hour stay. Out of exhaustion I agreed. I was very calm and polite, even though I felt like I was being screwed. I after 2 hours of hassle I finally got into my room at around 5am, with 2 bookings for a one night stay. Parking lot was full. Found a spot in an adjacent business's parking lot and made my way to my room. It's 40 degrees outside and about 58 degrees in the room. The AC was on and set to 68, so I turned the heater on, and find it blows nothing but cold air. Turned the system off, reselected heat, waited 10 more minutes, nothing but cold. Cool! I'm too tired to make a fuss about it. I'll sleep in my coat and let them know the next day. Decided to take a shower, the water was lukewarm at best. Awesome. Feeling defeated, I wrapped myself in blankets and fell asleep. 4.5 hours after I had fallen asleep, at 1030am, housekeeping wakes me up. Says the room needs to be turned. I told them I booked for 2 nights. They said it only showed me for one night. I grab my belongings and head to the front desk around 11am (time of check out, 6 hours after my arrival), where I was informed that I needed to check out of my room, and wait 4 more hours until 3pm to check back in, even though I was booked and paid for 2 nights. Awesome. I've never left a hotel feeling so drained, unaccommodated and uncared for. I mentioned the room has no heat and they said they'd let the owner know. Hope they do, in the mean time, I wanted to let everyone else know how my stay was. Thanks for the polite, inflexible, unhelpful service, clean room, cold shower, and cold room. Next time I want an experience like this I'll save my money and go camping by a river.

Stayed Wednesday November 1st, 2023. Good communication with desk clerk/owner. Explained where our room was located, offered information on the complimentary breakfast from 6-9am. We enjoyed a quiet & clean room with comfortable king bed. The bath shower had plenty of hot water & good pressure. The hot coffee was excellent, waffles, bagels blueberry mini-muffins, cereal, toast fruit & oatmeal. A great all around experience. Thank you!

Good Points: * The desk staff was exceptionally kind and helpful * The pool was clean and cool (just right) * Breakfast was excellent with choices of eggs, waffles, fruit, and cereal * Excellent location to Provo shopping and BYU Bad Points: * This hotel needs some TLC! * Hot tub did not work * Black mold in tub/shower, broken floor tiles, missing grout * Carpet cleaning WAY overdue I cannot recommend this hotel, primarily due to the health concerns regarding mold and overall cleanliness. Sad because those are things that are so easy to fix and maintain.

1/26-1/28-Room 117; Horrible stay! This was my birthday trip, and everything was going great, until I left my apple watch charging at the hotel room. When I returned, I noticed it had "gone missing" when I called the manager to assist in this matter, he was very rude and defensive right away! He disregarded my petition to assist and got loud and stated that I have no proof, and per hotel policies- they are not responsible for lost/stolen items and was not helpful at all! IF you do end up staying, (which I DO NOT recommend) please do not trust leaving items of value in the room, and try to keep your valuables with you, as it is sad that you cannot trust the employees working there.

Wish I would have read the reviews!! This place is old and gross. I felt lucky enough to have a room with at least clean looking beds, pretty clean sink and new toilet. But the walls, curtains, floor and furniture are gross, old, stained and stinky. Seriously. Seriously. Come on. Wyndham you need to find out what is going on with the owners this place, needs to be remodeled I will never stay at another Wyndham hotel based on this place.

The DIRTIEST hotel in the world in all senses. I arrived alone by driving from LA long way to Salt Lake City at 18:30, dark already. I reserved and paid the room from Expedia beforehand. No receptionist in lobby. I waited long time and calling anybody here, no answer. I heard a woman voice in restroom with laugh. I went close to the door hearing a Spanish speaking woman chatting happily inside. I speak Spanish too. So I am clearly knowing what she was chatting and I noticed she is the front desk. I knock once on the door she didn’t answer keeping on chatting. I waited. Till 15 minutes passed I knocked again. She came out annoying telling me I was rude interrupting her and refused my checking in l,ignoring my presence. I called 911 by unsure of my security and videoed her. The same time she called her manager by phone saying she was interrupted by me as she was cleaning restroom. And she gave out another reason is on phone she was on phone for a guest requirements. It sounded like an innocent Cinderella fair story if I didn’t recorded what she said and if I didn’t know Spanish as she supposed from my Asian face. I knew it is not worthy to waste any time here and booked another hotel immediately. As I was close the parking lot. An Indian guy asked me what happened. I thought he might be a guest as well telling him the thing. He told me he’s the manager. I then asked when I can get my refund. He told me I would never get my refund. I filmed him even he tried to escape him face in the video I got it. I go through the reviews after that happened. That’s why some guests mention service get worst in these years and an one already mentioned it is not a qualified putting on a third party platform. I didn’t read. I had those two ugly faces videos and offered all to the relevant department and put them on social media. Congrats.

I am so sad to report! After a long day of travel we got there and they were so kind at the front desk. We had a bit of baby stuff and they could not accommodate for a first floor room. When we got to our room, the bed had been slept in and there was water running and the bathroom was super gross. It is in MAJOR need of update (carpet stained really bad everywhere, no elevator, rust everywhere in bathroom). If you have little kids, do not go here!

It’s old and filthy. Just clean it! We stayed for a week waiting on dorms to be available. Not once did housekeeping empty the trash or tidy the rooms. They stopped by with a roll of TP every other day. We asked for fresh sheets halfway through the stay, pretty sure they just turned them inside out to give the appearance of changing them. I can confirm what others are saying: the place has bugs, boogers on the walls, and other peoples hair in the sink and shower. It needs a deep clean from top to bottom. I can live with old furniture as long as the bed is comfortable, which it actually was. The free breakfast was all carbs: cereal, bagels, waffles - but it’s hard to mess those up and it was available. The location is nice and the staff friendly. A deep cleaning wouldn’t cost much and would do wonders for this place.

The point of booking a hotel/motel is that there are cleaning standards compared to Airbnb. There were old bloodstains on the sheets, colored stains on the carpet, and various bottles and popcorn swept under the bed. This lowered my confidence I had in the rest of the cleaning to the point that I would have been better off using an Airbnb. Front desk employee was professional though.

We have stayed at the Baymont before about 4 years ago. We really liked it then it was a little bit worn but really rather clean and we enjoyed it. This time we noticed the property has become quite run down. The tub in our bathroom was chipped and stained and really needed to be resurfaced. There were handprint stains on the wall and the door. There was a plastic fork in a window sill when we arrived and it was there when we left. There are some pluses to this property. The beds were quite comfortable, it's in a cute location, and the Provo River runs behind it. I hope that some improvements can be made on sanitation and restoring me interior of some of the rooms. Also that pool really needs to be whipped into shape.

Officially my worst hotel experience ever. Even at its discounted price, this place was a rip-off. The sink was broken and the faucet leaked onto the counter everywhere when I turned the cold water on high. The tub and sink drains were partially clogged. Several floor tiles were also broken. The tissue box in the sink was ripped out and there were no tissues anywhere in the room. The holes in the wall that were "repaired" (others were not) were given shoddy mud and paint jobs, not even attempting to match the color (purple over cream). The room looked like it was under construction. The bed was old and uncomfortable with springs digging into my back. The curtain was torn. There were dried food splatters on the wall next to the garbage can. The pool room had missing paint and plaster from the walls and a general funky smell without any clean towels (but plenty of dirty ones strewn about the floor). The smell combined with the fact that all of the windows were open and the general tarnish and discoloration on many of the fixtures led me to believe it has (or has had) mold problems. The next day the dirty towels were still there and they hadn't been replaced with any clean ones. The microwave didn't work. The breakfast options were pathetic (a half-used jug of milk in the fridge for oatmeal/cereal and some other questionable food items). The first two spoons I removed from the utensil dispenser had food on them. The carpet was not only stained and fraying, but was layered in dirt. I am all about cheap and understand the trade-off that comes with a value purchase, but I do have basic sanitation standards that this hotel did not meet. If you want your immune system tested, this is a great place to visit. If you want rest and comfort at a reasonable price, look elsewhere. Update: After checkout, my wife noticed that they charged us an additional 100 dollars. I called and was told it was because I smoked in the room. I have never smoked a day in my life. I explained this and they said that they knew I smoked because there was a bag taped over the smoke detector. I noticed the bad on my first night when I accidentally burnt popcorn with their defective microwave, but since I don't smoke I didn't have any idea why it was covered and thought it was another broken feature of the room or was there to protect it from the painting that was ongoing. The desk clerk told me there was nothing that they could do about the charge and if I wanted to dispute it, I would have to talk to the manager. When I asked when the manager would be in, they demurred and I had to politely redirect the question 3 times trying to narrow down the time before the clerk finally told me to call at 6 am. I called at 6 am as directed and was told the manager wouldn't be in until 10. I called at 10 and the manager was rude and hung up on me without even letting me tell him what happened. He then filed a complaint against me with the corporate office claiming I was harassing them and using foul language. I happily submitted to them the recording of the conversation that proved I was the model of civility and decency in spite of his horrible behavior. He also emailed me saying I was banned from the property because he had the power to do it. Fortunately, I have no intention of ever returning there. It is very clear that their response to financial disputes is aggression, intimidation, and stonewalling. Please, save yourself the time, money, legal trouble, and unsanitary experience! Do NOT stay here!

So, this is my least favorite from staying at Wyndham places from Logan, salt lake etc in 2weeks because the room looked super old and could use some renovation plus the front desk guy didn't QUITE acknowledge our concern and had an attitude that shut down our interest to possibly upgrade to a jetted tub room. He was like it's expensive as if he knew our pocket and didn't really cordially address our question about what it's like plus we were caught off guard about a $200 deposit. Nowhere on Wyndham website or the third party: Agoda did it say or notify us of such fee. As for the room, the furniture is chip and frankly as if a dog chewed on things like the hangers, chairs etc. Never seen a motel room so desperate for a touch up from cracked tile, chipped paint, wood, bathroom tub, 🪵 markings on the wall etc. If you're willing to spend over $65 then you can do better than this place. We were running a little late to check out and from my partners experience of telling, them, he was worried his deposit wouldn't be refunded because of how serious the guy was about a 15min grace period. So we left in a rush wish I hate but we live and we learn and wouldn't wanna return honestly.

Loved my stay here more than I expected. Remembered that I stayed here when I was very young. Super friendly staff and a really great breakfast on my opinion. Well done 👍

Location is off the main road which is nice but Google maps takes you a little crazy way. Haha Hotel does not look like the pictures on the web. They seem clean but very run down. Pool is very small which is fine because luckily there were not very many people in there. Price was decent but probably should be cheaper.

Easy walk to LES for the BYU football game. Check in was quick, the room was sufficient and clean. Bathroom and heater did their jobs. Check out was quick. The only drawback was the free continental breakfast, it lacked protein and variety. Breakfast was sub-par.

I have stayed here over the years due to the location but have noticed a decline in cleanliness and upkeep of the place. It is adequate but could definitely use better in both areas. The breakfast is also barely adequate and I do not eat there anymore as it has gotten very sparse options.

Location is decent, service was very average, but not bad. Maintenance on the place however is really lacking. Our door had been bashed in and still had dents all over in it. All that had happened is they painted over part of it. The safety lock on the inside had just been drilled and rescrewed. There we a couple of little holes in the wall, the shower curtain rod was falling down and wouldn't hold it up correctly and the worst part...the bed wasn't comfortable. Windows didn't look like they'd been cleaned in years. This place could be so much nicer, but somebody needs to hire a couple of decent maintenance personnel and bring it back up to decent. Hallway carpets were nasty. We won't stay here again.

Their "hot breakfast" consists of a waffle...that's it. The parking lot is clearly being used by semi-homeless people, who may or may not stay there for a night, to park their cars with all their possessions inside. The entire property looks old although it was fairly clean. It is however very affordable.

Location of this hotel is prime! It's right of the main highway though town, and it's pretty close to plenty of restaurants. The inside of the room was... eh.. not quite poor. There were many strange broken latches/handles/etc. There s river right outside, so I thought I might open the widow, but one of the latches was broken, as was the screen. There were handles missing from some of the drawers (night stand and such). Breakfast had diy waffles and a bunch of cold stuff/ The rest was fine, I suppose. I am not sure if I'd revisit this one. I just didn't feel right in a room with all these broken bits.

This motel was pure disgust and would not rate with any stars except the location was nice. When I booked I was excited about the $20 pet fee when we are use to most hotels charging at least $50 .We went to visit family and enjoy a nice dinner together and when we came back we went into the room and I about got sick. There was food splattered on walls, the furniture was old and broken, the carpet and curtains looked like they had never been cleaned. There was petrified ketchup on the lamp next to the bed. I went to the office and was told there were no other rooms were available. I ask him why he would rent such a horrible room? He did apologize and pointed to where I could get some drinking glasses because there wasn't any in the room nor was there a coffee pot and coffee. The bedding was very white and smelled very clean and for the first time ever my dog was told that she HAD to sleep on the bed because the floor was not fit for her. When I spoke to the man the next day at check out he told me that he would have his manager call me and discuss the room with me(#104) I am still waiting. The breakfast is the worst, no protein.

Front desk was fine. Shower had hair in it. Beds were technically beds, but a strange combo of hard and springy. Room was generally in bad condition, grungy. AC was great, but made warbly noises all night. Would not repeat.

Not a great spot for access the the highway but the folks running are good people. The room I stayed in needed some attention mainly the bathroom floor but not bad just loose tiles.

Service was great and friendly. Hotel is old and needs a remodel but location was nice and safe. Enjoyed walking along the river. It was clean and had everything we needed and the price was right. We forgot our daughters blanket and they immediately found it and kept it for us until we went back and got it! Would recommend this place!

3 stars is maybe harsh. But it's a simple place. Basically no amenities but it's a value driven hotel. Clean rooms. Good service. Lots of parking. Exactly what you should expect. Good spot to stay and I've actually stayed here multiple times on my way through Salt Lake.

Horrible experience. Rooms and hallway were extremely dirty and the worst I have ever seen. We had to have the staff remove the iron from the room as it was covered with blood. Our room was right next to the ice machine that was continually used all night long. The people above our room appeared to live there full-time and woke up at 4am and were running back and forth across the room until 5:30am. That and the homeless people sleeping outside our window with most of the window screens laying next to the building made me extremely nervous. The worst hotel experience I have ever had.

A little dated. But its still an awesome motel. Rooms are very clean. Staff is friendly. There is no elevator but who can't handle a flight of stairs when you're all jacked up on Mountain Dew.

This really should be a 1-star hotel. It is filthy and rundown. What a joke. Motel6 would have been better/cleaner. I chose this because of the Wyndham name and free breakfast since we were getting in from out of town so late. I tried to verify breakfast hours, but only found that they ended at 10 per Tripadvisor. However, it ended at 9 per the piece of tape over the sign. The person at the front desk said it was on my reservation, which I scoured through...nope not there. Everything was dirty, cigarette butts outside, coffee maker didn't work, couldn't plug in my charger, coffee supplies looked used, even unopened, yard sale furniture, hole in sheets and shower rod barely hanging on. Too bad because it is a nice location.

I’ve stayed here multiple times. House keeping has always knocked every time I’ve put out the ‘Do not disturb’ sign out. Hours before checkout. Made fun of me for naturally bleeding on the bed while sleeping. My experience with management has not be accommodating or very hospitable.

  • 3/5 Chase B. 1 year ago on Google
There is a definite mold smell, the laundry and ice maker were broken, the halls were really hot, and the carpet everywhere was very old and tattered. Still, the bed was nice and the room had good AC. Plus, they use modern RFID tag keys instead of the old magnetic strip ones and there is a river trail right behind the hotel. Don't bring your wife here, but it was better than a motel for a single guy on a budget.
