I was assigned a room facing Century Park, which was a picturesque landscape to cherish upon. And, the Century Park is a perfect fresh greenlung for morning / evening runs. I appreciated that the balcony of my assigned room had a sliding door that could be opened, bringing in fresh air. Breakfast spread was decent. Simple western staples such as a salad bar, sliced breads, yogurts, pork bacon, eggs and fruits were available daily; in addition to Chinese-style stir fried vegetables and noodles, porridge, and steamed buns. There were self-service coffee machines for coffee freshly brewed from beans, which was good for my daily caffeine fix. Room was clean, neat and odour-free. MRT line-2 entrance/exit and Family Mart adjacent to the hotel, are the greatest convenience booters.

I went there for a business trip in early to mid October. The rooms are clean, everything is working as intended, staffs are really friendly. However, one HUGE problem they have is that people are smoking on the non smoking floor. The whole floor reeks of smoke, and smoke keeps coming into my room no matter how I tried to block the gaps on my door. I think some smoke comes in through the air con. I tried enduring for 2 nights, but on the third night I felt like I was gonna go crazy from the smoke. Called the reception to help, they said they will talk to the smokers, and asked for me to open the window and turn off the aircon.. It was autumn so the weather was pleasant with windows open but I really felt that wasnt the best resolution. Regardless, I felt like it would be really risky to bring any kids into this establishment. It was unbearable for an adult, would have been worse for children.

Park view rooms have a great view on the Century Park from balconies. Air conditioning is weird, It is cold in the room, but humid. The bed and clothing are damp, also mirrors. Maybe not so in the dry season. Breakfast is limited in choices. Some days, 'european' food is not available. Air conditioners are the main issue though upd: added a star for staff support

Cool hotel situated right on top of subway and eight in front of an excellent and huge park. The location is really great. Also the neighbourhood is not congested at all, and classy. The hotel rooms are small, but clean. This is a great place to stay if you don't need five start luxuries and if you don't want to stay right in the city center. Only negative us that the food options in the neighborhood is rare. Best thing is to get your dinner somewhere and come here. All in all, nice hotel to stay (and this is my second stay here)

Lovely place to stay in Shanghai. The best is that it's right next to subway line 2 (exit 4). You come out of the subway and the door to the hotel is directly to your left. Century Park is right across the street, and there are many local restaurants within walking distance. There is a little convince store and a wonderful bakery right next door too. The rooms are clean, but could use a little maintenance. The staff is absolutely delightful and they will do everything they can to ensure that you have a pleasant stay.

As a western tourist, this hotel was pretty ok. Not the best taste in decoration nor exterior but comfortable and spacious rooms. Breakfast just ok. Service attentive. Location around 30-40 min from center. But in Shanghai city almost everything is 30-40 mins away by car.

Amazing location - the surrounding area is really nice and it's easy to go further into the city as the metro station is practically inside the hotel. This area is really great for biking with lots of cycle lanes and the roads are not too busy. The hotel itself is very nice. Staff are very friendly. Breakfast was included in our booking and I was really pleased with it. Lots of selection - both Western and Asian options both of which were pretty good. We stayed for 10 nights and didn't get bored of it. WiFi was pretty solid. A couple points for improvement - on arrival, the receptionist told us the room we had booked was unavailable and we would need to pay extra to upgrade to a different room. This was very annoying, but after I said no they "upgraded" us for free. I put this in quotation marks because this happens all the time in China and it is never an actual upgrade. It's a shame to see a relatively nice hotel try and pull these tactics but ultimately it didn't affect our stay. The room they gave us was good but quite small. AC worked okay and it was quiet. Bathroom is nice but the shower is at a weird angle. Thankfully we had a balcony, otherwise I have no idea where we'd have put our suitcases as there is very minimal storage and the room can't be much bigger than 20 square metres with the bed taking up half of that. Overall, I'd be happy to stay here again.

I enjoyed staying here...you get out from subway line 2 - Century Park station - exit 4 and you are directly at the hotel. Everything was really nice, less crowded, near the park, the room was clean and the AC actually work! Bed was soft, which is a rarity in China. I do recommend this hotel.

Well located with good metro connections into the centre of Shanghai. The rooms are large but feel a little dated and could do with some love. The breakfast is very good with a nice mix of Western and Asian choices. Would stay again

Very clean and modern, the staff are all very friendly and speak excellent English. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone attending the SNIEC as they offer a shuttle bus service as well as having direct access to the Metro. Also the Feng Shui Bar inside the hotel offers properly cooked meals quite late into the evening which is great for people working or checking in later.
