It’s a local oasis of peace and calm, no matter what time of day you visit. However, if you are an early bird like me, then the best times to visit are either Dawn or Sunset, if the conditions are right, you are richly rewarded with some stunning skies and light!

A really nice outdoors space outside of the centre of Leeds. There is a wide range of wildlife and the surrounding area is really peaceful and pleasant.

Surprisingly popular, even on a Monday in January, with more people wandering out to Paul's Pond. Although there were Avian Flu warnings about, there were plenty of different swimming birds to be seen, including seven Mandarin ducks.

This is a beautiful place to take your dog. I take my 2 dogs out early morning and it's like a big dog adventure park.

Site of special scientific interest..has a pond with swans. A marked cycle route, but watch out for the dogs.

Paul's pond is within golden acre park. A real oasis on the edge of leeds. The pond has a number of fishing stations. I assume you need a permit to fish here. The pond is surrounding by woodland which is great for people wanting somewhere peaceful to go for walks, runs and simply to get away from the rat race.

A beautiful idyllic spot, with a flat circular walk around the pond. There were a family of swans, which had 8 cygnets! They were fascinating to watch. Ideal for all ages, with young children needing to be supervised.

🫤 The ponds are located at the northern end of Tarnfield park , just off the main footpath around the Tarn itself. There is a sign which indicates a good diversity of Flora and Fauna ,however I get the impression it’s a bit of a neglected area. The footpath leading in next to the sign is ok and wheelc...
