I visited your restaurant for lunch on 6-4-22 . meals very good taste . But service very very worst . Even below average . For each & every dish we have demand spoons . Salt & peper . Water etc like this . nothing came automatically . Made us to wait for a long time simply for a spoon . Before your supply food became chill . Providing good food alone not sufficient , giving timely service to the need of customer is more important . We planned to come once again by next month with hope to get better service .

The room cleanliness and taste of food were good as always. Room service was prompt . The breakfast buffet place was a nice hall and variety of food was good . Only suggestion is the ventilation in the basement is not good so if people cough there is no way for fresh air to enter. They can see if there is some provision for better ventilation. They can also consider air purifiers . This is priced low and is maintained well ,but no fancy features. Good for families preferring vegetarian food.

The hotel is at the heart of the city. Its at a walkable distance from Rock beach and Aurobindo Ashram. Service is very good. You get pure vegetarian food. Rooms are clean. All the staffs are very friendly. Loved it.

We were there only for the restaurant for a lunch. May be because of the crowd, but we felt thoroughly ignored. It took them about 15 minutes to get us some water after asking. Our order of ice cream was not even delivered, and we had to walk out without having any. The food tasted good though.

You made our stay very comfortable from day 1. It’s a pleasure to stay with you since 1997! It’s our favourite place for stay and food in Pondicherry since then. My daughter who was soy 4 years old when we first came to your Hotel Surguru. Since then we never looked back😀. This time also you have accommodated us one day before our reservation just without any notice! Only a small observation- hot water was not available in the evening. Also, food ha lost the earlier taste and Quality! We used to enjoy your food and even carried some to Chennai on our way back. This time though food is quite normal it lacked earlier taste. For example Sambar Rice! Chutneys also are not that great! Otherwise everything is fine and excellent. I am sure to spend some time in near future with you.

After a long search in different hotel booking sites, Hotel Surguru popped up as an option ( wondering why this hotel was not showing up initially).. Got a good feel from other google reviews and selected this one.. My Personal experience - good location and proximity to French colony - the happening place.. ample car parking space available. Hotel restaurant had veg only food choices & every dish was good...and there was a complimentary breakfast on offer too.. Rooms are neat and clean, rest rooms are so neatly maintained & least expected for the price we pay...

Hotel Surguru WAS good. But not anymore. It is only better for staying. If you ever wanna eat, I would suggest not to. Just had an unpleasant experience with the food. Both quantity and quality is bad. Now they are just looting money with the good name they earned over time. Be aware.

The room, cleanliness, complimentary breakfast are too good. Not sure if I am the only one who had experienced this, after a day out when got back in the eve got to notice that there were foot prints between door and washroom. The foot prints were completely wet which seemed like someone had stepped out just few mins before we reached. All of our things were safe but still this shouldn't happen right. When we made a complaint at the reception, they strongly disagreed to whatever I claimed. Of course, they won't! Leaving a note here for every family/couple/gang of friends, staying outside home is at our own risk. No hotel is safe.

This is a big disappointment from a three star hotel. I visited their restaurant for my breakfast with my 4 friends. Bill is nearly 850, the quality is ok but taste wise "zero" the ambience are good neat and silent. This not enough for a restaurant. Charging huge amount from the customer side, the need to provide a good tasty food, i forgot to ask the manager whether you will eat this!

We were told very good veg restaurant. But once you visit, next time you will never visit due to poor service.. Though the food quality is good and tasty, the service is very poor and no one to attend to. I will never go again. May be known faces get served.. but new visitors beware it takes hours to get to your table.

The food here tasted amazing. Paneer Tikka was so yummy that I fell in love with veg food more. We tried Mango Milkshake which was tasty as well. Also Rose milk was worth trying. I didn't feel there was anything to complain about at that place. Also their entrance is very green with lots of plants which makes it one of the best spots to click photos and selfies.

Rooms were spick and span. The staff was great. Sufficient parking available. It also has one of the popular veg restaurants and the food tastes great. The complimentary buffet breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Pondicherry.

this restaurant i visited in located in sardar Vallabhbhai Patel road in puducherry. big dining space and food also tasted ok. buti think they are short staffed. otherwise people taking orders and serving and even cleaning staff are polite. will definitely suggest mango juice here. must try restaurant when u visit puducherry

Visited the restaurant. Idly, Ravva Dosa, redrice dosa and idiya appam and poori are tasted by our family and all the items are nice. The servers are cordial. And the prices are pretty normal. The place has got good ratings and this is really worth place to visit and eat

Now a days taste getting very average... Management must watch and improve the taste and service level... in my last visit i went with my family.. totally made me very disappointment bcz of unhygienic spoon and plate, they dint wash properly

Food quality has come down and rates have been increased. Appam coconut milk a big let down. Rose milk worst in taste.

We went there for our Dinner. Its a pure vegetarian hotel, which can accommodate 100+ people at a time. It has ample car parking. I can give 5 stars for the food quality. Loved it. Best for Family.

The hotel is fully booked, the rooms are spacious and well-equipped, and the room service is truly amazing when we visited during the Christmas holiday. morning breakfast is included which is good and provide us lots of option to choose. The beach and the white town are both within easy walking distance of the hotel.Additionally, the hotel has permitted parking.

We went in for breakfast and it was great, the service was also good, the waiters and other staff were really polite and friendly, explained to us what we should order and what we can expect. The restaurant is kept clean and had a good dining experience.

All the staff had a welcoming attitude at the hotel. Rooms were clean. Parking space available. Restaurant at the basement is crowded but serves delicious food. Buffet breakfast is mostly South Indian food. Each item served in the buffet was very fresh prepared and tasty. The restaurants are 100% vegetarian. The location of the hotel is also nice. Rock beach is about one km walk from the hotel. We also tried Surguru restaurant at Mission street and found the food to be equally good. Overall a very satisfying experience.

Good place to stay. Near City centre and white town. There are a bit strict on checkout times. Although they could extend by an hour or so. But the check out need to be done by 12 pm.... You will keep getting calls from 11:15am onwards. Also, restaurant governance requires improvement.

The place is pretty well-organized. Serves the basic purpose of being a lodging facility with an in-house restaurant, which serves above-average vegetarian food. Cars' entry and exit are quite good, owing to its entry/exit gates open to one of the widest roads of pondicherry. The prices are reasonable too.

Hotel Surguru is one among the finest place in Pondicherry to stay with family. They accepted my booking request in a single phone call and sent me SMS containing booking reference number without taking any advance. This hotel is present in a prime location closer to many places of attractions in Pondicherry. Even though located in a busy area the hotel remains calm and pleasant. The rooms are clean, well maintained and spacious. All the hotel staffs, support staffs, room attendants, cleaning staffs are so friendly, polite and courteous which gave a pleasing environment during my stay. Coming to the food, the complimentary breakfast provided was limited to south Indian varieties but the taste was good. Apart from complimentary breakfast the regular food in the vegetarian restaurant was so tasty and good. Room services option is also available incase if you want to dine from the room itself. The only concern which I felt was the Parking was little cramped. Put together felt that I made a right choice by choosing Surguru.

We stayed here for 3nights with very high price as it was peak time . Stay was very peaceful and staffs were on time whenever you need them ,just a call away . Breakfast buffet was same everyday which was good with some 7 8 items. The minus point is they don’t provide brush and toothpaste or any hot water kettle,they will only give shampoo and soap .

Awesome, neat & clean rooms at the Hotel how we have expected. What makes us to keep record this hotel for our next trip is the staff. All the staffs are so helpful and generous. Centrally located, wheel chaired access, helpful staff, excellent service and hospitality, tastefully designed rooms with hot water and ample parking space. Restuarant has excellent cuisine and food served hot. Affordable for its amenities and recommended.

Had good experience. As per price we can get what ever expected like AC rooms and car parking , extra bed just 600 rs (other charge to much even for kids), good cleanses and good restaurant as chokecherry busy area in weekends it was very stuff to get hotel with car parking for food, it best have in hotel always and go out and come inside and have dinner with peace . and price also in good range with required quantities instead big quantities food and charge more . Breakfast also good as its buffet even its get over we can request to get more . hotel as old type , but good maintenance. for family is best hotel i can say .

Nice neat and clean place, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent choice if you are not looking for something very fancy. Hotel is little old not renovated, so it doesn't look very trendy but that takes nothing away from them. Managed nicely with 24hrs checkin and checkout. Location is perfect with everything at walking distance.

Decent rooms. The property is bit old but maintenance is good. Sufficient parking available. Breakfast was the main highlight during our stay. The spread of almost 10 varieties covering almost all South Indian breakfast items.

Avoid their North Indian thali...neither tasty nor value for money. South Indian thali is good. Their White Town branches are much better than their hotel restaurant

Old property but well maintained. Services are good. Staff are courteous and service oriented. Room was prepared in all respects before check in especially the bathroom. Check in out process very swift. Complimentary breakfast has a good spread of typical south indian menu. Only vegetarian.
