I'm sorry to say that my experience at La Republica del Taco was extremely disappointing. To start with, the cocktails were a complete letdown. They lacked any discernible taste and seemed to have barely any alcohol content. When I requested a cocktail without ice cubes, the staff appeared completely uninterested in my request and didn't bother to fulfill it. The menu was another letdown as the dégustation menu that we were looking forward to was not available. We ended up ordering quesadillas and tacos, but even those were a disappointment. The dishes were unappetizing and lacked any flavor. To make things worse, all the dishes that we received seemed to be the same, with the only exception being added cheese in the quesadillas. The ambiance of the restaurant was a complete disaster. The music was obnoxiously loud, making it difficult to have any conversation. The lack of cosiness made us feel like we were sitting in a fast-food restaurant instead of a proper dining establishment. All in all, I would not recommend La Republica del Taco to anyone. It was a waste of time and money, and we left feeling extremely disappointed.

This was the absolute worst restaurant food I’ve had in my life. I got the sampler combo to try a bit of everything. Fries, burrito, tacos, chips, almost none of it had any flavor. If it weren’t the ham and cheese taco, I’d think I lost my sense of taste from Covid. It came with 5 sauces that tasted the same. Like nothing. The “picante” had a little bit of flavor, but was not spicy at all. The burrito was only half filled, and sloppily put together. All the meat was dried out. Literally everything was bad. I wanted to give 2 stars because of the colorful atmosphere and friendly staff…but the food was so bad that I can’t justify it.

Listen, the food is fine. If you've ever had a tortilla in Mexico try to forget it because this isn't it, it's more like a confusingly stale cracker and I mean this for all of the burritos, tacos and quesadillas because they use the same thing. If you forget about Mexico, it's fine. They're all basically the same except the quesadilla uses cheese with the meat while the taco had bell pepper and onion or the burrito has a sort of creamy sauce. Get the spicy sauce, it's not so spicy as to be inedible but it will go well on everything.

If you're looking for a tasteless and disgusting meal, then look no further than this so-called "taco" restaurant. This place is a total tourist trap that masquerades as a restaurant. The food is simply inedible - dry, bland, and lacking any sort of flavor. I can't even begin to describe how bad it was. And don't even get me started on their cocktails. If you're expecting a decent drink, then think again. Their drinks are weak and tasteless, with barely a hint of alcohol. It's as if they watered them down to save a few bucks. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone. It's a complete waste of time and money. The food is disgusting, the drinks are terrible, and the atmosphere is just plain uninviting. If you're looking for a good meal, go elsewhere. This place is a joke.

Enjoyed the Relaxing and accommodating atmosphere, sitting outside in the shade. The cocktail/fresh juice offers were great. Just what you need after a long and hot day discovering. The food is decent. The vegetarian burrito could use a bit more flavor. The sauces from the appetizers helped to spice it up. Price for value is fair, especially as the meals are quite large.

Not sure how they can keep that good rating. They are not preparing their food with love. Had the burrito, the meat was dry and overcooked, the tortilla wrap dry and brittle. The complementary tortilla chips felt old and were not crispy.

Great food and service. Vegetarians tacos and burritos are available. Homemade tequila and banana shakes are bombas💣 Highly recommended

Nice Mexican restaurant in Iguacu, we went there for (early) dinner at 5, portion sizes were huge, tastes well, service was very friendly, although it is also a bit more on the pricier side. If it would have been a bit cheaper, I think this would be a really good value for the money. I could imagine at a later point in time, the atmosphere will spice up quite a bit, for us it was (most probably due to the early time) not fully alive, thus i did not take this into consideration for the overall star rating. All in all if I were back in Iguacu and would wish for Mexican food, I would definitely come back (a bit later in the evening) :)

The food was so disappointing. We each ate a bite and didn't eat more, paid and left. Overpriced awful ....avoid. my margarita had so much sugar it was not drinkable .... Margarita should be sour with salt rim. Please avoid!!!! Tourist trap. Worst restaurant since I'm in Argentina.

I think there are a lot of fake accounts reviewing this resturant. The food is bland and the meat didn't taste right... service is good but don't go there if you're looking for a tasty meal!!

Very bland food. Had no flavour at all and meat had an odd taste (possibly reheated?). Other ingredients were poor, lettuce was brown and really should not be served to a customer. Don't understand how this place has good ratings. Poor first meal in Iguazu. Don't waste your time, really disappointing. The potato chips and coke zero were good.

Wonderful staff and good food! I've spilled my margarita all over my lap and they just brought me another one free of charge.

Nice spot for Mexican food, the quesadillas are nice and full of meat and cheese. The real star are the fresh juices, wow the Tacopado with multiple fresh juices was delicious!

Friendly staff, large and good meals for a lower than average price, good juices and live music.

If I could give more stars I would they had a live performer and excellent food with a wonderful vibe had an amazing time
