Super nice Hostal! Very clean and friendly staff that are full of helpful advise about Puerto lopez. They can help with busses and activities. The location is perfect, close to the beach and right by the center of town. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The staff also give a lot of care to the appearance of the Hostal, the walls are painted with loverly images and the garden area is relaxing, with a loverly swimming pool. Would 100% recommend staying here if you in Puerto Lopez.

Good value for the money. Room was comfortable, had air conditioning as well as hot water and was clean. The bathroom is a bit outdated though and could use some updating. Very quiet at night. Staff was always helpful and courteous. Excellent location near the beach. Breakfast is an extra 3$ and wasn't worth it for us (a bit small and quality just okay).

Really nice place. The staff are great and really nice and helpful. I slept in private room for 12$ including breakfast. They let me do check in really early and check out really late! Recommend !!!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. We had a good price with breakfast included, which was pretty good (they have 3 different options). They have a small pool, but we didn’t end up going swimming. The staff has been very friendly and we booked a tour to Isla de Plata with them and were happy with it. It’s a great location in the center of town and very close to the beach. The room accommodations are decent. The public space is cuter and more appealing and playing nice music. We would definitely stay here again.

A very bad experience in a 6 months trip around south america. We arrived at 6am and considering the reception is 24h, the service we received was extra rude; the guy was surprised we were trying to get in...(?) During our stay, there was a 6-8 person group in the hostel that was extremely disrespectful : spitting litteraly on the floor, screaming, opening our door in the middle of the night (twice) and making people switch tables because they felt more important at breakfast without asking. All the other travelers of the hostel agreed this was completely out of control. We asked a refund, we got it, without a single word from the guy working at reception who was aware the whole time of what was going on. We left after a single night. Not a place to go.

Comfortable beds. Large shower with hot water. Decent American or Ecuadorian breakfast. Even tiny pool to cool off or rinse off. Polite and attentive staff. Decent rate $.

Booked the premium room for 3 nights. The first 2 nights were ok. The specified swimming pool is 4 by 1 meter and therefor not really used in my presence. Had to push for new towels every day as they don’t clean the rooms daily From27 september 2017 the owner opened a new club to bring in additional revenue. The club is next to my premium room. The music was very loud from the beginning, fro Milley Vanilly (duh) to modern house later. When I asked at 22:00 if the music could be put down, they told me I could leave if I didn’t like. It. There was just a small group in the place. If you like the place, check the music policy befor making a reservation with the owner. If you like a quiet night, book a different place and come for the party when it suits you. A hotel should be more considerent with their paying guests. Hence 1 star based on this bizar experience
