Stayed here in April as part of a tour group. Location is great and you are literally across the street from the beach, but the hotel locks up at night and it's a bit of a hassle to get in after hours. There is a nice pool and a good view from the rooftop of the shoreline. In our first level room, there were constantly centipedes in the bedroom/bathroom, which isn't a big deal, but made us conscious of keeping up luggage stored away. If you hate bugs, this is not the place for you! The pillows provided were quite hard and the Wi-Fi was very weak, no matter where you were. Not our best hotel stay in Ecuador - you stay for the location, not the rooms/amenities.

Ok I could write a book on how rude this place is. First of all there is much nicer places nearby and cheaper. The internet is slow and some rooms it doesn't reach. I asked the manager for extra towels for the pool and he told me no, the ones provided in the room are sufficient. I came with a family of 5 and there were only 4 towels in the room. Second I asked him for change for a large bill since he was only accepting cash payment for the rooms. I needed money to visit local vendors and shops in the street. I was rudely denied. When the maids cleaned the room they removed the sheets on one of the beds and didn't replace them. I asked for them to be replaced by night and it was never done. Then on our last day checkout was at noon. We let the kids continue to play in the pool past noon while we were waiting in the lobby for our transportation, out of nowhere he came to us and said your kids have to get out of the pool it's passed checkout.

Nelly and the staff at Hotel Pacifico took great care of our group of 5, they went to extra effort to help us with local interest, local services and with an early departure. Great view of the oceans and sunset from our rooms.

Well... I had book some wherelse. An unfortunate dive.... Pigs in the mud garden. Flies attached to the fan... So call AC. So at 7 am.. I just jumped ship walked in a mud track to Hotel Pacifico. The best most traditional hotel in town. I just felt a huge relief. I felt safe. And while it is not the most welcoming place.... I no longer cared. The place is lovely clean spacious. And I can only say thank you...

This is undoubtedly the best hotel in Puerto Lopez. The restaurant is nice with a great view of the beach. Great pool area. Hotel is clean and well kept. My room was air conditioned with a nice bath. My balcony looked out onto the beach. Prices were reasonable. The staff is very nice and at least two of the women there speak English fairly well. Staff went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. Another review said that there was a problem with people offering tour packages. The hotel staff does not offer touring and I had no problems with being harassed by those tour vendors in the street. Would I stay there again? YOU BET! In fact, I plan on being there again in November! I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Puerto Lopez.

Wasn't all duty but can be cleaner. The walls in the bathroom need a clean up. Very quiet place

Nice rooms, affordable price. Although there are cheaper hotels and hostels, this is the best one so far

Excellent sea food by chief from Moby Dick. Best place in town for lunch or dinner. Incredibly cheap (for the moment)!
