Make yourself a favor and try one of those allergy’s friendly top rated pizza at Mauro’s Pizza. It’s a most when visiting downtown Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. Check out their pizzas menu including appetizers and dessert. I Highly recommend to try the Tiadilly burrata pizza and the bacon and corn. Each pizza has a family name, so ask what are the ingredients included on each one. Location: inside Paso Melosa pathway near the malecon. There’re some cute picture spots and other venues where to buy drinks and souvenirs. Try a delicious gluten free beer or take home a souvenir cap or hats with Puerto Plata logo on.

The pizza was, for the most part, terrible. I ordered three different pizzas. The dough was flat and soggy on all three, but tasty. The cheese was almost non-existant. On the pizza that had bacon, I wouldn't have known it, there was so little bacon, but lots of corn (corn does not belong on pizza - imo). The chicken pizza was tasty, but the chicken looked like it had gone through a food processor, so it was like mush. The service was very good and the restaurant and its bathrooms are extremely clean.

Mauro's makes the best wood fired pizza in Puerto Plata. My husband and I are so happy they opened this restaurant which is walking distance from our home. We frequented their first restaurant stall near the historic central park. The pizza and ingredients are authentic and fresh. The restaurant includes a new larger menu with salads, pastas, dessert, and more. The food here is delicious and good for couples or groups. There are vegetarian options as well.

Tried the chicken breast and really wasn't anything to write home about. The pizzas looked amazing. I will go back to try them for sure.

Superb pizzas, suggest you try the one with truffled honey, almond flakes, goat cheese. They are the best! Reasonable prices and awesome attentions.

Great thin crust pizza, sizable salads, and reasonable prices. The service was also wonderful (English and Spanish). Mauro’s is definitely worth the visit, you won’t be disappointed.

Pleasantly surprised. Wasn't expecting much. Instead, my family and I were blown away by the pizza and especially the patient waitress who had to listen to my extremely broken Spanish. Great pizza with amazing service. What do you want more !!!!!

Service was great. The pizza was good but it fell apart in my hand. It was a little cold in the restaurant but it's clean and looks nice
