Fun and educational experience to learn about Palawan’s people, history and culture. It also provides local artists a place to showcase their work. Incredibly friendly staff. Highly recommended.

We went here during our Puerto Princesa City Tour, we rented a tricycle. We first visited Palawan Heritage Museum among all the tourist destinations in Puerto Princesa. After registering our names and there is 50pesos entrance fee, there is a 10-15 mins orientation that will brief you of what you will expect during the visit in the museum. Paintings, Ancient days, livelihood, musical instruments, hunting materials will elaborately discuss with you with the staffs of of the museum. Paintings are also for sale in the museum so as the souvenirs items at the end of the visit. Parking area is also available.

We visited the Heritage centre today and as we approached the doors were asked to sign in and pay our 50 pesos for entry. Once inside we were allocated a tour guide who took us around the museum with super interesting facts and it was a much better experience than if we was to walk around on our own. The way the guide explained what they were showing us really brought it alive for us. 5 out of 5 stars for us and a really good value for money activity to do in Puerto princesa

It was such a nice experience. I don't have photos of it but there were life-sized depictions of indigenous communities in Palawan. There were also paintings made by local artists which was interesting and every painter that won on the annual Baragatan festival. Take in mind, that we took a long time to wait for our tour because this was a trip scheduled by our professor [all his classes were with us] We paid 20 PHP for our tour.

We enjoyed the guided tour very much and the video presented to us about Palawan. It was a very informative tour and our guide Jz was very knowledgeable. He taught us a lot and I greatly appreciated the diversity of our cultural heritage.

It was quiet when I went there. The guides were so friendly and had lots of information to share. I enjoyed the art gallery of local artists and their students. Cheap entry at only P60. Would go again.

To appreciate Palawan even more, this museum deserves a visit. The Palawan Heritage Center deserves a much larger space.

Guides introduce each exhibit area. My visit began with 2 videos, one about Palawan Island and the other of a tribal group. Galleries feature work--much of it for sale--by local artists. Hstory exhibits illustrate stories of Palawan from prehistoric times to recent. Displays also illustrate the life of indigenous people and more recent immigrants. Overall this is a good introduction to both art and history of Palawan.

Great museum, your 50p entrance includes a nice guided tour that explains everything and is very informative and interesting. Highly recommend visiting here when you first arrive in Puerto as they also give great recommendations on where to visit in Palawan and information about the various peoples and places on the island. The people working there are so nice.

The Palawan Heritage Center in Puerto Princesa is a unique and informative attraction that offers visitors a glimpse into the rich culture and history of Palawan. The center is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the heritage of the indigenous peoples of the island. The exhibits in the center are well-curated and informative, providing an in-depth look into the different tribes and their way of life. The exhibit includes photographs, artifacts, and interactive displays that make it a perfect destination for both children and adults. The staff at the center are very knowledgeable, helpful and willing to answer any questions you may have. They are well-trained in Palawan's rich cultural heritage and provide personalized attention to each visitor. The center is impeccably maintained and very clean with air conditioning, making it a comfortable and enjoyable visit for everyone. The highlight of the Palawan Heritage Center is the exciting cultural dance performances that showcase the different tribal dances, costumes, and music. These regular performances provide a unique opportunity to experience the culture of the indigenous peoples of Palawan. The Palawan Heritage Center is a top attraction in Puerto Princesa and a must-visit for travelers looking to learn more about the island's heritage and culture. The center is easily accessible, located just outside the city center and highly recommended for a visit.

Don't waste your time coming here. This place is always closed. I came Wednesday during the day it was closed and people told me to come another day, which I did. I came Friday in the middle of the day and surprise it was closed again. Such a shame because thi place was on my wish list to visit during my 10 days there. My flight's on weekend so I will never get to lnow about the this place and the history of Palawan, I'll probably never come again either. It would be great if they put a sign on the door showing their opening times and also update the hours on google maps here!!! It's not like I can come back anytime I am just a visitor.

To the contrary of what you may read, the entrance to this museum is not free. But it is may times worth the 50 PHP we were asked (each). With this, we were treated to a guided visit by Mr Shinkin Paduga Beguina, who could be its curator (?). It felt so good to be introduced to Palawan history and rich ethnology by someone who just talked to us and shared his knowledge, instead of reciting a speech, with its unavoidable catch phrases. Nothing such and the exhibition was not a show of technology either. The artefacts and scenes reconstitutions were the support for explanations that let us glimpse at the life of late cavemen, and of other tribes, living in the south of the island. Photographies told us about the Japanese occupation and the multiple fights of the people to retrieve their independence, or the arrival of the first American teachers, called the Thomasites, from the name of the first ship that brought them in the archipelago. Our guide is also a painter. One of the rooms in the museum is an art gallery, including some small-scale models of scenes and habitats. A very neat, informative and refreshingly modern (but not too much) museum overall.

It was so interesting to learn about Palawan, both old and new. We arrived in the morning and were only ones at the center, so we had a private tour of the place from the friendly staff. Would recommend checking out this place to learn more about Palawan history and culture.

It's very interesting, 2 videos are shown, also about the Cavemen. Fascinated me. Pictures and recycled art by young artists are exhibited. Ticket 50 Pesos each person for 30 to 45 minutes guiding.

Nice to learn about Palawan’s history and arts. I thought it would’ve been nicer if we could’ve visited here first before deciding on any tours or other places to visit.
