This is a fun spot to try if you want good food with a postcard-worthy view. They have open air indoor dining, or you can even dine right on the beach if you so desire. The prices are a bit high, but the quality is good. My favorite dish was the lobster and bone marrow tacos. I think it cost $25 and you get 2 small tacos. They were fantastic though. The only annoying part is the vendors that walk back and forth trying to sell you their wares. Watching the sun go down in this charming place while eating good food is a great experience to have if you can afford it.

I went back to El Dorado THREE times during my two week stay! I really loved the food, the atmosphere, the staff, the live singers/musicians, the view. The dishes that stand out to me are the Braised Octopus appetizer, the Scallops entree, and the Profiteroles for dessert. Really amazing. The views of sunset while sitting on the beach with your toes in the sand is MAGICAL - what an experience...

Service is slow. The menu is very limited and none of the options are enticing. Also don’t have guacamole on the menu. Strange for a Mexican restaurant. The cocktails are good. The food is pretty underwhelming. View is nice. Water tasted weird.

El Dorado is a great place for a romantic dinner on the beach watching the sunset. The food is amazing and the service is really good. The prices are about average compared to American prices, but for a beautiful romantic experience, it’s totally worth it.

Excellent food, service and ambiance. I had the pan seared tuna and it was perfect. (Pricing is in pesos) Went back and had the Caribbean Lobster. Perfectly cooked. Amazing!

I'll start with the best part! They have some really great food and a great view of the beach. I had the Mesquite Grilled Catch Of The Day which was really interesting. The taste of the fish and the capers with the butter sauce was incredible. The fish and the vegetables were perfectly spiced and the texture was great. The rice was alright but a little on the boring side. My girlfriend had the fish tacos and really enjoyed them. She said they has the perfect amount of spice to them with the Chipotle. She had them grilled. We also shared the fried calamari. I personally thought they could have been fried longer, but I like them crispy. Many people like them the way they came out here. It's a matter of personal opinion. Lots of big pieces. Just too chewy for my liking. The service was really good and really attentative. I only deducted one of the stars because the food wasn't perfect but it was still really good and I would certainly come back. I would say they should add another option or two to their menu however.

Absolutely perfect service. Only two negatives. Most tables got an amuse bouche for free but they skipped me. Maybe because I was alone. The other was the food runner was mom friendly when dropping my meal off. He dropped it and walked away. There’s nothing wrong with that, but it came across as rude because everyone else was friendly. The oysters Rockefeller was amazing. Loved them. The stone crab enchiladas were tasty. I could taste much crab but my palette was gone from the drinks I had earlier. I would absolutely go back. No questions asked. Great dinner!

Ate dinner here with 14 other people. They set us up with a table on the beach at sunset. The service was good for that many people and the food was delicious. I went with the special for the night, which was a 750g lobster tail. It was expensive but cooked perfectly and the lobster meat was sweet. The side vegetables that came with it were also delicious. The whole party I was with enjoyed their dinner

Spent New Year’s Eve here. It was a fun party with a set menu. We reserved a table specifically because they offered a vegan menu option for the night which was harder to come by and much appreciated. Everything was good. We arrived a bit later and missed out on some of the added bonuses we didn’t know about like photos and things, but still had a great time with a table on the beach, good food, and good music to dance to afterward. There was an amazing firework show on the beach and you are right in the center of all the action. Would recommend it for sure! Can be on the pricey side so be aware you are paying for the location and ambiance.

We had a party of 50 people (that we booked in advanced) and they did an excellent job with everything. The food and cocktails were very good. I especially enjoyed the espresso chocolate cake. We were all seated on the sand very close to the beach, so it was a very beautiful event. The servers were very attentive throughout the service and the hosts were helpful in calling taxis for some of our guests. I would definitely recommend this place for large groups because they executed the service very smoothly.

Wonderful experience watching the sun set seated on the sand with glowing lights. Food and service was wonderful! A perfect last night in the Romantica district with my husband and our friends. We will be back!

Such a romantic place. ATMO Let's start with atmosphere. This place is the definition of romantic. Dinner on the beach, overlooking the ocean, seeing the fireworks, and the pier in zona romantica. With sea food? Come on! You cannot get more romantic than that, unless you are catching the sunset. FOOD The meal was simple, starting with lobser and bone marrow taco, soft and balanced in flavor, coming on the local tortilla, made in house. For the main, I had the catch of the day with Chipotle glaze on top. Though bony, the fish was well prepared, fresh, delicious, pairing well with smokey peppery flavor. We were surprised with a caramel desert for the anniversary. DRINKS I tried Carajillo here, which is 100% better than a simple espresso martini. Their margarita was pretty good as well. SERIVCE All in all was good, but could be faster and more attentive. But good enough!

Location and atmosphere is great. Food was good. The service was disappointing. The staff didn't seem to pay much attention to my partner and me, we were frequently overlooked when we wanted service. A table that arrived after us was served appetizers AND their main course before we got our food. They came around with ice cubes to refresh everyone's drinks but ignored our table. Not sure why, as we were pleasant patrons as we always are. The food was tasty and would definitely be scored higher than the service.

We went to this restaurant for our anniversary dinner and loved this place a lot. Thanks to Salvador and Omar and your service team for the amazing work. We had a wonderful and memorable dinner on the beach and enjoyed the gorgeous ocean view and the romantic vibes.

This is a great place to sit and watch people and the waves. Many vendors come by and attempt to sell you which can be annoying while trying to vacation. The foot massage guy was awesome. The staff was great and was a great beach day only 2 days after the hurricane. I was impressed how quickly they were back running even without electricity

My favorite restaurant on the beach that i went to. It has a beautiful view of the ocean with a lovely atmosphere inside. It doesn't have a party vibe like some other restaurants on the beach so it was a more relaxed eating experience, which i greatly prefer. The food is good and service was exceptional. Highly recommend a visit

Javier was amazing and the team. They were very attentive, a glass was never empty and a new wine bottle was at the table before we knew it was gone. Food was amazing and ambience along with the sunset view.

What a great experience! We were here for Thanksgiving and along with their normal amazing menu, they had a great special, turkey dinner, for those in our group missing home. The service and atmosphere were both amazing. An excellent experience I would highly recommend.

There were 9 in our party. We had reservations and were seated on the beach. The sunset was amazing. Our servers could speak English and were able to provide descriptions and recommendations, that was on point. We were seated quickly, menus provided, drinks on the table quickly, relaxed and beautiful atmosphere. We got different dishes and were able to taste various dishes. I had lobster, which melted in my mouth. My sister had Mahi Mahi and ate it all (she normally avoids fish). There was salmon, seafood platter, chicken, all delicious. Chicken was deliciously seasoned. The seafood platter was cooked perfectly, making each bite so tasty. Would highly recommend this dining experience.

This is officially our favourite place to have breakfast on the beach in PV, and it has the best pancakes in PV! We’ve been several times for breakfast and it’s always been delicious! They do nice soy milk lattes, great banana bread, delicious yogurt with granola (we got it with extra granola), and yummy egg style breakfasts as well! If you like pancakes though, then you have to try the blueberry pecan pancakes, they’re incredible!! Beautiful atmosphere on the beach, nice music, amazing helpful staff, and very clean. The prices are similar to all the other places on the beach, but in some respects are even a bit more reasonable than some. Excellent place!

I give this restaurant five stars but if I could rate our server, Eli, I would give him 100 stars. So friendly and funny and a genuinely nice person. The food was outstanding, I had the lobster and my husband had the El Dorado fish special. Eli even made a cocktail himself that he said would be the best that we have ever had and he was right. The mariachi band came by and played us a song and the sun was setting and it was just the perfect setting for the perfect dinner. There are lots of restaurants on the beach but without a doubt you should come to this one and if you can get Eli as your server, you will be in for a beautiful experience. Thank you, Eli and team for treating us so well!! We can’t wait to be back.

The shrimp and lobster were delicious! Our waiter Cruz was the BEST. I highly recommend They also had a reunion party that night with at least 50 people and our small table of four never waited for a thing. 👌

This was the best dining experience my family and I have ever had. Despite the thunderstorm forcing us to move indoors our waiter was brilliant and courteous. We went to Sonora Prime by the Marina in the same week and although more expensive and pretentious, that place does not compare to El Dorado. The grilled oysters at El Dorado were the best I've ever had, and the mussels and dessert were divine. Thank you so much.

Nice high end restaurant on the beach. Very good food, excellent service, great drinks. The whole fish and octopus are delicious! Mussels and Seared tuna are very good also.

Gorgeous location, right on the beach with lovely lighting and ambience. We ordered seared tuna and the grilled catch of the day. Both dishes were delicious and decent portions. We are giving 4 stars because the service was slow and because I wanted to order the set Christmas menu but they wouldn’t let just one of us order it. Either we both had to have it or we couldn’t have it at all.

Such a lovely view of the Bay at the outdoor tables! The wait staff is always professional and happy to serve you. The food is AMAZING with beautiful presentation. This is our "go-to" spot in PV.

Went to El Dorado for lunch and it was an amazing experience. Superb service and delicious food all wrapped in one. The view was perfect and right next to the beach. We were quite sad to have found this gem on our last day in PV but we will for sure be returning soon. I highly recommend everything in their menu, we had 3 appetizers and 3 entrées and they were all equally delicious. Marco was a great host and always on top of anything we needed. Bathrooms were very clean and the decor is stylish. You will not regret eating here. Can't wait to try their breakfast.

Our expectations were left in the dust. Made a 7:00 reservation on a Tuesday but they couldn't guarantee requested table location. Hostess walked us to our table, ocean front. Just as they were lighting the tiki torches. Stunning location. Ahi Poke, is in the running for the best we have ever had. Actually went back the next night just for that as a late night snack. The White Corn Cream soup is decadent. As is the From the Sea. Every plate was completely clean when we finished. And you must ask for Alan to be your server. He is OUTSTANDING. Our evening concluded with Mexican Coffee, only available on quiet nights. It is a spectacle for the senses from presentation to the very last drop. We WILL be back.

Amazing food and beautiful atmosphere with your feet in the sand. We were there at sunset for hubbies birthday. Perfecto! Prices are about on par with a nice restaurant in the states, maybe a little less. Well worth it.
