An upstairs location in a neighborhood so mostly local clientele and not accessible for the disabled. We were an elderly group of 13 celebrating 3 anniversaries of 34. 40 and 40 years respectively. The roaming musicians largely ignored us preferring to play to local groups so some of our planned celebrations were muted. The picture attached was meant to be a filet of red snapper but the waiter persuaded me that the whole fish was the same price and better value. As one can see, this poor fish went through the business end of a crematorium before reaching me. Using a handheld credit card machine, the waiter asked what tip I had in mind. I said 10% based on some sketchy service and food and he promptly processed a tip of 20%. Being in pesos and not having my old person glasses, it wasn't until after the fact that I noticed. A couple with me asked for a single lobster tail and a skewer of shrimp each. The waiter persuaded them that a small platter would be more economical. When they got their bill, it was >5000 pesos or US$253, far in excess of what they were quoted. It was only after a twenty minute argument that management relented and reduced the bill to a more reasonable amount. Some people might have better luck but not personally planning on returning.

This place was absolutely amazing. The quality of their seafood was great and they served rather large portions for surprisingly little money. I had the red snapper, despite it being a bit more expensive in the U.S. it was only ~280 pesos (14 dollars). Plus their desserts were to die for. I hope to go again next time I am in Puerto Vallarta.

Happy lobster, sad experience. Good service, but the food was certainly not up to par, especially for the prices they charge. The 🦞 was tough, not fresh, and served warm. However, we did enjoy the view from upstairs.

Although the food was good, I do not feel it was worth the price considering we had to take a cab to get there. It is not right on the water. The staff was very attentive and helpful with recommendations. Nothing stood out as spectacular, I feel you could get the same meal on the water at the same price without the extra cost of a cab.

Got some oysters and a platter for 2 with a 2 lb lobster, crab, 4 shrimp, sea bass fillet, and rice and 2 margaritas. The oysters were not very flavorful, but they did taste fresh. The lobster and crab were very fresh tasting with lots of meat. The margaritas were delicious. The sea bass was unfortunately dry and not very tasty, but the rest was great

Excellent service. Drinks were good. We had the lobster and it was a good portion. Ceviche was good too. Our taxi recommend this place. We sat next to the Lobster statue on the second floor. :p Good for large groups or special occasions. Cheers!

It wasn’t what we expected. This restaurant came highly recommend by many, but the food fell short. My friend ordered scallops and they came out cold, and instead of replacing them, they tried to recook them and made them worse. My other friend and I ordered the special and the lobster was overcooked. The service was good but slow.

Went here on a recommendation of a local. It has the vibe of a "special occasion" restaurant for locals and the lucky tourists that find it. We tried a little of everything from oysters, lobster, red snapper, and shrimp. Good portions, prepared well, and tasty. It's not inexpensive, but a much better value compared to the tourist hot spots and the food was better. The mariachi was loud for our taste, but the local families that were there absolutely loved it, and the ambiance was very upbeat, so we went with the flow!

More of a 3.5/5 for our family. We really enjoyed the coco shrimps, but everything else felt very average. Even the very hard veggies. My suegra from Tepic actually didn't order any food after trying ours. The flavor was lacking in the seafood cocktails and the clams just felt off. We left half. We cancelled an order of beer, but they brang us and charged us anyway

It's a hidden gem away from the tourist area and best accessible by a taxi. The food is to die for and really reasonable for the quality. I promise you won't be disappointed if you're a seafood lover. We ordered the octopus made with an Aguajillo sauce, seabass with lobster, lobster and shrimp, shrimp empandas, tostadas PV and stuffed crab. There is also live music that plays if you pay them. We will definitely be back and all the locals recommended this place.

Nice place with huge menu. Good food and reasonable prices. Popular with gringos. Great service. Only you must pay $150-200 upfront for the mariachi band to play a song of your choice. Kinda awkward. Rooftop was closed on a Wed night, but waiter turned lights on for us and showed us the pretty view.

Great fresh seafood with very friendly service! Reasonable prices for all you get. Off the beaten path a little but well worth it. Beautiful open air with views of the mountains.

Everybody at the city recommended us to come try this place for lobster. The location is bit far from main streets. The service was great, however I would not say that this was as hyped up to be. We ordered the 2 people special which included 2 lobsters, 5 jumbo shrimp and choice of fish. The creamy lobster barely had any lobster in, mostly sauce. The garlics lobster was better tasting. There was a lovely band to serenade us. I probably would not come back to this restaurant for “lobster” or seafood.

I've been going to this place for years and I've always loved it. Beautiful views and wonderful service. I love the salsa (warning it's hot) as well as the margaritas and seafood casserole. Also while they are best known for seafood, I tried my fiancee's filet mignon and it was fantastic. I truly recommend this place!

We enjoyed the meal, the atmosphere and the service! The Happy Lobster has a very upbeat vibe to the place with incredibly fresh seafood. The Lobster was cooked very well. The ceviche was exceptional. Definitely a place to return to when we visit Puerto Vallarta again. If you are visiting Puerto Vallarta,, I highly recommend you try this place. Even if you live in Puerto Vallarta, this place is worth discovering.

Food was delicious. Margarita not so good. The service was great. This place was recommended by a local and I was not disappointed. We ordered the dinner special for 2. The server came to take our order and brought a tray of seafood to show us their fresh selection and menu of fresh seafood. I have never see. This before. I never even looked at the actual menu, just picked from the tray. Loved the food and the butter tasted amazing not sure what they did special to it but was the best.

** tourist trap. The place is ok. Not the greatest. Everyone kept recommending so we decided to give it a go. Service was good, food is on the pricey side and place is a bit far Away from main street. Mixed drinks were ok not impressed as well. You can eat better and cheaper at other places.

Recommended as a local oyster restaurant by our concierge. Tucked away in a residential area we had high hopes. Unfortunately, the oysters were grilled and cooled a supposed to raw. This was an unwelcome surprise. The food was decent but our previous Puerto Vallarta restaurant experiences were better.

This place was recommended by some of the locals. It’s a short taxi ride away from the hotel area and it is absolutely WORTH IT! I think this place sets the bar really high up when it comes to hospitality and customer service. The entire staff was super friendly and the vibe in the restaurant just felt good. They start out by bringing out this 3 foot wide platter with their catch of the day. Shrimp, octopus, squid, fish, lobsters and everything else. Very fresh seafood indeed. You can’t go wrong with whatever you get, everything has a great taste. The complimentary shot of tequila was the cherry on top. This will our go-to seafood restaurant when we are back in the area. 10/10 recommend.

It’s our last night in Puerto Vallarta and we feel like we hit the jackpot by deciding to check out Langosta Felix for amazing seafood. We ordered the 3 Musketeer (local lobster, giant shrimps, and crawfish) prepared with garlic butter. It came with white, a small salad, and sautéed veggies. We also ordered frozen mango margaritas. Everything was so good, plus I enjoyed the view of the town with the dining room being on the 2nd floor. Definitely dining here again the next time we visit PV!

This place is a little bit harder to reach than some of the others in the area, but it's well worth the trek. They bring out a huge plate of seafood to show you the different options. Everything on the menu is amazing. Definitely splurge for the lobster or crab. Yes, they have takeout options.

Had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The fish of the day, Red Snapper, was simply excellent - cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere was so fun and vibrant, adding to the overall dining pleasure. The food was absolutely delicious, making it a truly enjoyable meal.

Amazing sea food! They do have much more than sea food though. Great atmosphere, super clean, top level customer service. They even take your temperature when you come in. It is a bit expensive; however, if you consider what you would pay in the US, it is super affordable.
