We had a family vacation here a couple of weeks ago and we couldn't have had a better experience. The food was great and it was a great selection to choose from. The buffet did a great job keeping the menu fresh and different from day to day and changing over from breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There or two other restaurants and a snack bar to hold you through the day while at the pool. The snack bar actually serves hot dogs, burgers, pizza, etc. The restaurants you have to make reservations (Mole & The Fish House). For the Fish House you have to make sure you get to the reservation table early, just a heads up. That is the most popular. The food was great at all of the venues. The bars were great, they had everything you wanted. The rooms were stocked with a mini bar which was great. You can tell they have done a good job keeping the facility up over the years. The service we received from the staff was top tier. I would recommend this Resort to anyone going to PV.

We stayed here for 4 nights in the beginning of April and while we really enjoyed our time in Puerto Vallarta, I don’t think we would recommend this particular resort. We had a problem with our reservation, and even though we had booked a king bed ocean view room when we got to our room it had two smaller beds and when we tried to call the front desk we kept getting the run around and they kept saying they were going to call us back and never did we had to call them again and again. They ended up not being able to get us the type of room we reserved until the next day. Rooms were clean but very outdated and small, and when we switched rooms the toilet was leaking all over the floor and they had to actually come remove the toilet and put in a different one. The phone was not working as well and they had to replace it too. The food here was probably the worst part of the resort, it’s being advertised as having 5 restaurants but really there is 3; a buffet, a poolside little buffet and one restaurant you need reservations for. The buffet was awful, and the poolside buffet only serves burgers, hot dogs and fries. You can only reserve the restaurant between hrs 10 am - noon, and when we went at 11 there was already no reservations left and you cant call to reserve. We were only able to get in for one meal our whole stay and while it was the best thing we ate the whole time it still wasn’t good. They do offer room service which is not part of the all inclusive but their continental breakfast was good. The staff is nice, but if you don’t know any Spanish it will be hard to communicate. I would say this resort was full of mostly local guests from different parts of Mexico instead of out of country travelers. This resort has access right to the beach which is very nice, pretty private and a great view. We got massages right by the ocean which was very relaxing. If you plan on spending most of your trip at your resort, I don’t think this one is worth what we paid. However if you plan on going downtown a lot to eat, doing excursions, etc. then you might enjoy the beach and their pool.

I stayed here for a week with my family of three, and I cannot say enough about how satisfied we all were! We're from Canada and chose Melia because we wanted to avoid big-box American hotels to get more of a local Mexican experience. We're Chinese, and we were pretty much the only Chinese guests there, yet we didn't experience any racism or feel out of place during our entire stay. I'd estimate that around 10% of the guests are foreigners (primarily white), and most are locals. The buffet was fantastic—they changed up the food every day (and night), and all the dishes were very tasty and fresh. There were plenty of bread, salad, and fruit options, as well as unlimited milk, ice cream, and juice! I was impressed by the size of the property and how charming it is; you could spend around 30 minutes after dinner just strolling around the beautiful property to enjoy your evening, and it's right by the ocean. The gym was great—I was able to get a full-body workout with the two sets of free weights and a cable machine. We loved the "kid's club," where they entertained your child for the majority of the day with various fun activities (they speak both English and Spanish). Our 6.5-year-old was able to participate in a night kid's show! (Thanks, Teacher Jesus; Kayden missed you so much!) The pool was large and very clean, and the rooms, though a bit dated, were very functional with extremely comfortable beds and pillows—not too hard or soft, just right. The patio was large with a fantastic ocean view. On Friday night, there was a fun Mexican-themed event where they decorated the property and offered games, food, and music outdoors—it was super fun! We don't really have any complaints, but if I were to nitpick, I wish there wasn't a smell of garbage by the elevators on the ground floor (perhaps due to the old building). The location is very close to the airport, which may be a plus for some, but we wished it were closer to town (the hotel zone). Overall, we highly recommend this gem and would certainly stay here again.

Our first all-inclusive resort, we had a nice time here. The room was quite nice, comfortable, if in need of updates. On our second day there, the light in the shower started leaking water from the room above us, but maintenance more or less fixed the issue. The pool was really nice, though the swim up pool bar in the shallow [kids end] of the pool was a bit weird. You are steps from the beach, which is lovely. The restaurants are quite nice, and a massive shout out to the chef at the fish house for accommodating a vegan with some truly beautiful dishes. The buffet food was decent, and same with the drinks. Premium bands will get you better quality alcohol. Service was always amazing, people are so nice and helpful. This resort is a bit away from the center though, so getting around is a bigger trek than anticipated. Do check out the marina area, especially on a Thursday for the market.

As a member of Melia Club, I have stayed at 7 different Melia hotels in Europe and America. Everywhere there are pros and cons, but in general I like this hotel chain. We just returned from Melia Puerto Vallarta. Our vacation started with the fact that they tried to put us in rooms with mold on the walls, puddles on the floor, a rusty refrigerator, and non-working plumbing. I would like to say a big thank you to Paola. She did everything possible to find us a room. After an hour of running around the floors and looking at different rooms, we found a more or less good room. However, it should be noted that the hotel is so old that I would never be able to recommend it to friends or family. Living among mold is terrible, and it is everywhere. The air conditioners do not work proreply, the rooms are very humid. The bed linen were wet. The hotel staff is very friendly and is happy to help solve problems. Room cleaning is regular and very high quality. Breakfasts were varied. But there were not enough waiters in the restaurant. They did not have time to clean up the dirty dishes, and drinks had to be waited for 10 minutes. The beach at the hotel is not very clean. To sum up, I would never return, even for free. The hotel needs urgent major repairs.

The place needs renovations. When you walk in, the resort smells old and musty. The people who checked us in, stuck to their check in time down the exact minute and didn’t want to give us early check in despite traveling far from another country. They were not accommodating, which was a bad first impression. Once we got into the room, again, it smelled really old and the beds looked old. It took awhile for the water to become hot. Additionally, the pool food was absolutely disgusting. One night, in the sit down restaurant, it took the servers forever (over two hours to complete serve us) and for breakfast, there was wasn’t enough plates. The buffet was better than the restaurant. The outdoor restaurant was okay. In a couple of instances, when walking to my hotel room in the hallway, the employees who cleaned the room, almost ran me over. I felt discriminated against on a couple of occasions, which felt frustrating. Although, gal who cleaned our hotel room was super cool, did a good job with room. On the positive note, the upstairs bartenders made good cocktails and were super friendly. They were the saving grace of having a okay time. Overall, this place is old and musty. I will not be coming back and I do not recommend this place.

This is my second time stating in this resort and this time around is better than the first. Food was good and abundant. Rooms cleaned regularly. Staff are polite and friendly. Nightly entertainment is top notch. Pool and surrounding is excellent. Only downside is that we had to walk quite a bit to get to the main road to catch a bus, but then, doing this and walking through the marina makes up for it. This resort is great, highly recommended.

We stayed here for 4 nights. If you are looking for a big chain style (Palladium, Marriott, etc) this is not the place. Hotel is in a prime location - 6 minute drive from the airport and right in the ocean. Beach is nice and has amazing mountain and sunset views. Rooms are simple but clean. This hotel is smaller in size - one main pool, 1 buffet restaurant and 2 a la carte but for the price this hotel has good value. We didn’t have our kids this trip but there were a lot of young families here - they cater a lot to young families and have a ton of activities. The entertainment staff are fun - special shout out to Charlie, Sergio and Leo. Charlie and Sergio were great for the aquatic activities. The cocktail class was a ton of fun too. The food is decent - they switch up the buffet dinner every day. Sometimes the service was hit or miss - where it would start out good and then sort of drift off during dinner. Special shout out to Alfredo, Jerson and Diana. We had breakfast at Mole & Tacos and the service and food was excellent.

I mean listen this wasn't a bad resort per say. But it wasn't exactly fully what I wanted which is more my fault than the resort. I had fun the staff was super nice. Food was hit and miss from day to day. Drinks we're good but its hard to go wrong on that. The rooms we're cleanish.

Just got home from a week at this resort. We were there with 5 adults and 2 kids and a toddler, we all had a great time. The staff was amazing, the food was good, not all of the options are for everyone but there was never a problem finding something we like. The resort could use some updates but nothing bad enough to ruin your vacation in the least bit (a staff member mentioned they would be closing for Reno's in the near future). I'll definitely book here again

    1. Rooms are old and musty. No mattress barriers and the mattress is OLD (photos attached? 2. Dirty stained couch in the room 3. Attention to detailed cleaning not a priority (headboards were dusty) 4. Staff were so friendly, I really enjoyed them and that was what made this stay for me. 5. Fridge drinks didn't get replenished 6. Food was great! The melia is close to the marina, go there and experience the food!!! The buffet was good, it got repetitive but the staff were amazing, always so friendly and welcoming!. We ate at mole and tacos in the hotel and it was great. The gift shop is over priced, go to the marina to buy what you need! My husband ended up with bed bug bites while we were there so we had to take extreme precautions returning home. The rooms are old and musty, not enough electrical outlets and the pillows are horrible. It was super expensive when we went. It was a nice experience but we likely won't be returning.

Resort was ok, but ultimately we left early because the food was so bad. Room was fine but dated, amenities fine but dated. Gym is so musty it smelled like I was eating mold. Check in was slow and room wasn't ready at 6pm but fine it's Mexico. Had a drink, it was bad. Went for dinner at buffet, it was like high school cafeteria food. Use some salt! Food throughout the stay was just bad. In the afternoon the only thing open is this hamburger bar where we had to line up in the sun for 30 minutes for a Costco hamburger or hot dog. So lame. People are nice enough, but the resort is just mediocre at best. Won't be back.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 1 week. As the first resort I have went to I was very impressed. All the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed the entertainment team as they always hosted fun events by the pool and made my stay even more enjoyable. Leo from the entertainment team hosted a lot of events. He was a very energetic guy that made the events more fun, very friendly and extremely helpful. The place was great, loved how the beach was just right there and the general atmosphere of the place. I would definitely recommend coming here and I would go back again.

DO NOT STAY HERE! We had an issue with our reservation and attempted to resolve before the trip, but the hotel was poor at communicating and responded the same day as arrival (2 days later). Once we arrived to the resort, we received no welcome and checking in took 30-45 minutes due to the previous issue. Front desk staff, Isaac, could not locate our reservation and required assistance. After we were finally able to check in, we were advised our room was not ready. While waiting for the room to be prepared, we walked around the pool area of the resort and ate a restaurant near the pool. To our surprise, the view of the resort and the food at the restaurant weren’t the best. Upon arriving to our room, we received a room with double beds and a bunk bed when we requested a King Size bed. The room had a strong mildew smell and many bugs flying around. Alberto was sent to our room to show us other options on the resort, but neither were of satisfaction. The resort is due for major updating. We ended our reservation the same day as arriving and relocated to a different resort. This was a second experience with a Melia property and there will not be a third.

We stayed here for one week and I paid for two rooms with ocean view. When we checked in I was given one room with ocean view in one tower and one without ocean view in another tower. The front desk staff was apologetic but they told me they couldn’t give me the correct room until the following day at 10 am. I went back the following day and they denied my request but quickly retracted and they found me a room right next to the other one but not until 3pm. Fortunately, that was the only issue I encountered, the rest of our stay was great. The rooms are dated and need a lot of work but on the other hand the staff works very hard to keep them clean and my rooms were always spotless. There’s always food available and they do have variety of the buffets. The specialty restaurants are awesome. We were able to eat at their gourmet Mexican, Italian and Grill House and we received excellent service and excellent dishes. I would also like to mention that this resort is visited by people arriving by tour bus from around México so the swimming pool and buffet restaurant can get crowded, we couldn’t find any available chairs by the pool the whole time we were there. The beach is great, we spent most of our time swimming there, the water was warm and plenty of waves. Lastly, All the staff at this resort work extremely hard and they went above and beyond to make our stay great. Thank you to all of them 🙂

Had an unpleasant stay at Meliá. This as an all inclusive resort and it was the bare minimum!!!! The restaurants were not open long enough well late. The food wasn’t even decent enough. I was on vacation I wanted to get the full experience of enjoying every aspect of this resort. The hotel was very very outdated !! Can’t make this up. We had to taxi to the excursions no hotel shuttles. They did offer us coupons but they do not apply when you get here. Not cool! The adult entertainment and bars were just bare minimum. On top of that they all close very early. What a way to vacation and a total waste of money. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!

We loved our stay at Melia PV. We were there for 5 nights in March and it was great. The service was excellent and the place was very clean. My wife kept commenting about how clean our room and the public bathrooms were. You can tell that the place will need to be updated in the coming years but they are doing a great job of maintaining it. The facilities, pool and beach were great. Thanks for a great getaway.

The front desk people are nice but not trained proper for the job. Was supposed to have late check out and when asked was told we couldn't. Finally after talking to the guy he said 2pm was check out. When went to front desk she said 12pm. Went to front desk on morning of checkout was told it was 12pm. Was not allowed late check out. Finally was told I could check out and have access to all parts of the resort. When we went to have lunch was told I could not go into lunch room. So no lunch. Also the resort is run down. Needs alot of repairs. Mattresses are outdated. The serving staff in resort were absolutely fabulous. They are friendly and enjoyable to be around. Food was good. I will stay somewhere else on next trip.

Service was very good. Our ocean view was spectacular. Rooms are simple and adequate.... perhaps as it is updated some bedside outlets will be added and the exhaust fans in bathrooms improved power and reduced sound. Softer towels would be a big difference maker. Food was adequate, did not expect any more. Some fresher snack options would be welcome at the pool bar... additionally a posted drink menu would help guests understand what options are available from all the excellent bar staff. RESERVED LOUNGCHAIR Rules at the pool are posted but not at all enforced so everyone is forced into the game of pile your stuff early and arrive anytime after breakfast. Dissapointing.

Most of my family, aunts, uncles and parents, have been on numerous vacations through Mexico and elsewhere. While it was my wife, son and my own's first time, everyone that stayed will tell you that it was spectacular and in all measures above expectation in every way. The staff in every part of the resort was kind, courteous and caring, the service was exemplary, food at the multiple restaurants was all fresh and wonderful, I can't say enough about the morning breakfast fruit bar, many members of the staff went well above and beyond such as Antonio, Victor, Juan, Juan Abel, Charley, Sergio, and many others. Charley's constant smile was contagious, and Sergio has found out a way to clone himself. He is somehow an assistant at the desk, works at the pool in the towel/help area, instructs the water aerobics, runs the beach games, officiated the rifle shooting, assists with multiple and stars in one of the nightly stage shows. The entertainment was varied and excellent, despite language barriers that may occur in this type of setting. The shows were easily enjoyable by everyone of all ages, and most of them were highly practiced and very enjoyable. The gentleman that does the comedy act, as well as stars in the pirate show is a true treasure and a real artist. He is talent and is overly enjoyable to watch. The front desk staff was helpful and polite, Paula was able to help with a computer system error we had to deal with, and I can recall names but the overnight staff was lovely as well. It seems like many members of the staff have twins, as most of them are working hard in different areas depending on time of day. I stay in Puerto Vallarta could not have been better, and we will surely return because of it and more. Thank you so much to everybody!!

The hotel exteriors are showing its age, but the hotel lobby is stunning. It’s enormous, flooded with light, ocean air and incredible views. Rooms are clean, beds are firm and comfortable. Staff is friendly and really helpful. Food is fine drinks are descent. We will be back for sure.

The beach is sub par, filled with rocks. This is the type of "beach" that I've avoided in all my beach life. The rocks can cause damage to your feet, which happened to both me and my boyfriend. *Edit*: Those rocks were actually really cool for snorkeling!! We saw so many varieties of fish!! Beautiful blue and yellow fishes! Pufferfish! Amazing!! The room construction is not the best, as we could hear a machine turning on throughout the night every 5 seconds and the only reason we can sleep is because we have the balcony door open and the wonderful sound of the waves overrides the machine. We could also hear activities outside the building (people playing tennis), which means the walls and windows are thin. The one positive highlight was the staff, who were very friendly and helpful, and they do an excellent job at keeping the paths clean. The hotel has iguanas roaming around the pool and lots of birds, which is excellent for animal lovers and shows concern for the environment. Another thing that was negative was that the pool bar was under construction and we didn't get a discount because of that... In all, this hotel was a fairly good experience.

The hotel is nice and good for a 4-star hotel. The staff has good manners as it is usually in all Puerto Vallarta. People treated us great. The restaurants are nice and food is ok with many options, and well cooked. The pool is big and ideal for families. There are things to improve, though: 1. There are no electrical connection to plug the computer in the room. There is only one in the aisle of the room. I had to ask for an extension. 2. The room was usually clean very late, around 4-5 pm. 3. There is no any place like a business center. I you need to work a bit, you need to find a spot anywhere in the hotel. 4. The mattresses are not really comfortable. I guess they are old. But still, good enough for a 4 star

Beautiful resort, we had recently stayed here last week and everyone was very nice, food was great, and the whole resort was beautiful. Checkout and in we had some problems but got it sorted fairly quickly. We got charged twice for our resort stay and I have yet to get that refund from last week so anything on that would be great

A bit outdated in terms of the infrastructure but everything else was great. The staff are the best and try to accommodate you in every way possible. The beach was decent and the pool was clean. After seeing other reviews I was a bit concerned about the food but honestly it was very good, not authentic Mexican but for an all inclusive resort it was great.

The rooms need updating. I hear they will are scheduling remodeling for 2024 when they become a Circle club. The waiters are excellent as well as the concierge & doorman staff. When we arrived, the reception clerk Valerie was nice also helpful. The head concierge introduced us to Alexandria who was to take care of us. However after we declined to do the 90 min presentation we barely saw or heard from her. We were disappointed. We are used to hearing from our concierge daily when we stay at Melia. We stayed in the Grand Suite,(rm1905) which was spacious and had a wonderful view. However signs of wear and tear are everywhere. Older furnishings and fixtures. Housekeeping did a great job. Great restaurants, although only 2 were open due to slow season. We went to the spa, it needs to be made more luxurious. We had couples massage. I suggest more air-conditioned massage rooms, we had separate rooms because I wanted air-conditioning. Not our best Melia experience, but we enjoyed Puerto Vallarta.

Good hotel. Good location. Rooms are outdated like many other 4 star hotels in Puerto Vallarta. Food was average, sometimes too bland and at others good. But not a lot of variety. There are only two specialty restaurants. And they always serve the same thing every night. The people were great everyone was very courteous and always willing to help Jesus, Michelle and Nancy at the Kidsdom where great. And I felt comfortable leaving my four year old child with them. They had lots of activities for the kids and the adults. I could see us going back.

This is an older hotel, and it is worn. It is located on a lovely stretch of beach. However, It is people worn, age worn. It definitely needs upgrades. They tell you that there are seven restaurants on premises. Don’t be fooled. Your only three eating venues plus a snack bar out at the pool. There’s a bar at the pool which is sloppy. There’s a bar in the lobby, which is very small. There’s no food served at the bars. The location of the resort close to the airport is nice. It’s just outside the marina, and that’s OK. So there are other places to go and eat rather than just at the hotel, which is a good thing. Because, the only decent place for food is the buffet. After a while, the selection there pretty much stinks as well. Very little variation.

It was a great stay for our family, except we reserved 2 rooms. One was not ready yet so we were told that they would notify us when it was ready. We NEVER got notified, and no hopes to a refund because they said we checked in and out with out complaint. Actually upon check out we did mention that we never got our room and they looked at us as if we were crazy. We speak Spanish so there should be no confusion, WRONG. At $162.00 x4nights - American is not cheap, this is just wrong.

  • 3/5 Chris M. 2 years ago on Google
Not the resort it once was.you have too keep an eye on your palatable spot or the locals will just walk in and take it over. The music at the pool is excessively loud so that you can't have a conversation with the person sitting next too you. All of the announcements are only done in Spanish, very little English. The one saving grace is the staff, always friendly and working hard. Beach is great as well.

Seriously do your research.. wish we had… so many options… Melia is not the spot for a memorable experience…the pictures are not an accurate representation of the resort… We were excited to have ocean view.. and while that was the case from a distance... before looking at ocean we got to see nasty green ponds right below our room … we got over that and decided we would make the best of our trip and would ignore the fact that the resort is very outdated… unfortunately we left with a sour taste in your mouths and very upset.. as we were packing our belongings on the last day… we realized we had belongings taken from our room. Unfortunately for our kids this is what they will remember.. my sons Nintendo, games and money was taken from the drawers we thought would be safe while we were away enjoying activities outside the resort. It’s really sad that someone decided it was okay to take what does not belong to them and now Melia will forever be a sour taste in our mouth and we will be sure to share our experience with everyone we know and hope it doesn’t happen to them… either way people, lock your stuff up… I know we will moving forward!!!

Check in was a breeze. Got exactly what I booked. Room was clean. Shower pressure was great and air conditioning worked well. Food at buffet was excellent and specialty restaurants (which you book ahead) were very good. All the staff we encountered we very friendly and helped us with everything. The pool needs some sprucing up and if you are a beach person it is not the best. However we stayed on beach, never an issue getting chairs and staff come to beach for your drink or even food orders. Great hamburgers and fries and hot dogs. Washrooms are clean by pool and beach area. I would advise to pay in pesos for souvenirs or meals if you leave resort. We are Canadian and trying to get get pricing between American and Canadian and pesos was a little confusing. Remember you are in a foreign country with different customs. Relax and enjoy.

This is a 4 star hotel, but it should be a 2 at best. And that is being too kind at that. I stayed at Fiest Americana last year and I wish I were back there. This is day/ night one of my week stay. My dad had raved about this place and I said sure, let's stay there then. His last time staying at this "hotel" was about 6 years ago, but much has changed I'd say. In my room alone, there is black mold in the shower, a concerning amount of very heavy rust inside the fridge provides a nightmare and there is an atrocious smell. I will not be putting an ounce of any beverage inside. The walls are incredibly dirty! There is a spotlight out in my room and one of the bulbs is a different color. I am afraid to sleep in or on the bed, but the couch isn't any better, I presume. These are just some, and I mean SOME of the issues just inside. Now to my parents room. They have shutters that divide their room into two sections and those shutters are COVERED in dust. Their fridge does not have a bad smell, but has a medical nightmare amount of rust on the outside of their fridge. This place is pretty disgusting and the lack of upkeep from the ridiculous amount they charge is not worth your stay. Go somewhere else. Please! And don't ever come to this "hotel". I'd share pictures but even typing this review makes me sick from thinking of showering with Black mold, rust, dirty walls, etc.

The Hotel is completely ran down. A/C in rooms and in dining rooms don’t work well. I had to ask to be moved to another room and the room I was moved to, A/C didn’t work well either. Service is exceptional though, I asked for a fan at 2 a.m. and they brought to me. When it rains you would have to take the elevator, otherwise take the risk of a slip and fall, stairways always wet. Pool area was always dirty. As you walk into the hotel the lobby looks beautiful, but as you start heading to the rest of the hotel, it’s filthy. The quality of the food was fair. The staff is very friendly and they will go out of their way to please you. But if you’re looking for more than just friendly staff to spend your vacation, this is NOT the place.

Decent but dated building. Big and spacious reception. Friendly staff. The room was clean but can use some renovation. Most staff barely speak English, but amazingly, they tried their best to help you. There was only 1 pool, and they have very limited pool chairs. You have to wake up early in the morning to reserve your chairs. They only open one dinner restaurant most of the day, so you need to get up early to book the restaurant. After 10:30am, you won't get the reservation as the booking was full already. You can always eat at the buffet if you can't get the reservation, though. The buffet was ok, but not many selections. They have many poolside activities throughout the day. There was only 1 bar inside the building and 2 bars by the pool. Overall, the staff were super friendly and willing to help even though they didn't understand English. For the guests, I would say 90% local and 10% foreign visitors.

Staff is very nice and building is good but to me it seem like a lot of waste space. It just seems like it's a little wierdly build. The food is very bland and could use upgrading. It's okay if it's your first trip down south but there are a lot of better places. Great location near the Marina so we went out to eat 3 out of 7 night even when we where at an all inclusive.

We were put up at the Melia because our flight had been canceled. They somehow managed to find rooms for everyone and gave us full privileges as the other guests. We all had a lovely dinner at the buffet as well as a few drinks. In the morning the bus picked us all up and drove us to the airport. Well done staff and everyone associated with the resort!

I love this property, very friendly staff, very clean, we had the jacuzzy ocean view balcony room, we love the views. The pools are very clean and warm, very good entertainment, the bellman Manuel, is a very nice guy, every time we went in or out, he was always happy to help us or give us advice on how to stay safe and save money. Francisco in the Buffet restaurant and David so nice and funny, we always wanted to see them. Thank you Meia for updating us for free when we had a bad experience at another hotel and you heard we were going to stay at your properties. Fresh delicious food daily at the Buffet, my favorite Alacart was Moles and Tacos, I also enjoyed the Fish house restaurant. I will definately come back to Melia. Thanks

The employees at Melia Puerto Vallarta are the best! I took my wife and 2 young kids here and we’ve had the perfect vacation. Awesome pool with activities, great beach for swimming, impressive shows at night and great food and bars all around. Can’t wait to come back!

Great resort with lots to do. Room was spacious and clean. Furniture could be upgraded and the room needs more electrical sockets. Pool area is great as well snacks available all the time. Buffet food was kind of repetitive every day. Lots of activities available. Overall great experience and worth the money

Rooms were a little dated. A little color with the cushions, beds, and window coverings would have really enhanced the whole dated room experience. Rooms were clean. The staff were excellent. The food was good. Flan was great. We had a very nice time there. Would return, but I would definitely spend a little extra for the jr suite with an ocean view. Cabs to town were very inexpensive. Would definitely go back, but I would investigate other options first.

This beautifully aged hotel is full of excellent staff and amenities! Huge pool with plenty of chairs for all. Pool side grill, pool bar and palapa very convenient for relaxing and not having to go far for anything. The pool staff typically don’t let you go without a drink and go out of their way to make your day special. Food is better than average and plenty of options for gf peeps. Adjacent to the marina, full of shoppes, salons and restaurants is also a plus.

The rooms in bldg 2 were okay, but I noticed that the rooms in other buildings were more updated. I enjoyed the pool and beach. Very accommodating service and being located within 12 minutes from the airport was a great bonus.

Hotel is older but very nice. We have stayed here multiple times and stay in the family room which has 2 beds and bunk beds. Lots to do for kids. Pool is large and has a gradual walk in plus deep area. Food is good. Not a great selection for kids but they can always find something. Staff is always willing to help. Nice to see the same staff year after year. Guadalupe Rodriguez Hotel Manager came to speak with us to ask how everything was.

This is a good place. Food is good. Especially, we arrived here in New Year’s Eve. Lobsters, roast pork, rib eyes steak are all great in buffet. Good views, Whatever there are something can improve. The power plugs are bad. My husband couldn’t use they very well. And there is pee smile beside my bed side. A lady from Customer Services named Guadalupe is nice and ask for feedbacks. I think they will upgrade everything and give us better experience at next time.

Leo Leon, Nadia, Hugo, Sergio, and Beatriz are amazing. You have to come here. I love it. Pool volleyball and water polo were my favorite events. Excellent activities. Very family friendly. Mole Tacos is a fantastic restaurant. My favorite vacation.

I loved it here! Incredibly friendly staff, good food, very clean rooms. Lots of activities to do, I did aqua aerobics with Leo Leon and it was so fun! Staff were attentive and we had all of our needs met. I would recommend this place to everyone and would return.
