Let me start by saying that this is a very nice resort. However you get what you pay for and the bill was large (the best breakfast buffet I've ever had, except the orange juice & mimosas; but at a cost of 500 pesos per person plus mandatory tip in a place where you can find satisfying local meals for 70 pesos). When I made the reservation, we booked a room with an ocean view, but upon checking in, they didn't have that note. They said to make it up to us they would comp our laundry, but at checkout, there was a 100 USD charge for laundry that they refused to remove. It is also a bit of a walk to the parts of the city you would like to see. Additionally, the first thing they do is try to sell you a timeshare. I would recommend staying elsewhere to economize your dollar.

This hotel seems like it would have been amazing 20 years ago and with different management. The location is unbeatable. But that’s really about it. Everything seems to be falling apart. My building had broken windows and our elevator had no working buttons for three first or second floors. So you can either ride on it until someone on those floors calls the elevator or you have to take the stairs. And there are many little maintenance things. The shower didn’t have hot water, or fully turn off. Our friends room lock had to be replaced, and his safe didn’t work, etc. When I had an issue and had to talk to the supervisor, Luis at the reception desk said he was in charge and nobody was above him to complain to. Fascinating how the general manager of a major hotel appears to be under 25 and works at reception. Also- fairly annoying when we book our rooms several months ahead and almost none of the rooms in our group were ready at check in time. We ended up changing in a common bathroom when we got there because we had an appointment and couldn’t wait.

I do not recommend this resort whatsoever. After being exhausted from a long plane ride, we were met with their sales people trying to get you to go to their presentation. They bounced us around from person to person and would take us to our private shuttle to the hotel that we paid for until we agreed to pay $ and go to their presentation. I was so frustrated from being hot, tired, and hungry that I was in tears just trying to get to our transportation (which I do not recommend). Like many others, we arrived after check-in time and were told our room was not ready. We tried to eat at one of the restaurants and they turned us away because they were closing. Our room SMELLED HORRIBLE like must. We told an employee and the did nothing about it. I had to throw away clothes because I cannot get the smell out after several washes. We did the all-inclusive plan and the food was terrible with the exception of breakfast. Then, on one of our last days, we were told we no longer had a reservation there even though we still had a few more days. The person who booked our trip made a mistake since we did all inclusive for 5 days, and just accomodation for 2, but he did not overlap the reservations leaving us without a room for the night. We spent nearly 3 hours with the front desk and on the phone with the person who booked our trip. They made us pay for the food that we ate during that period thinking we still had all inclusive when it was their mistake, and then pay for another night at the hotel. Between all of their sales and mistakes, we lost a whole day of our trip. It was such a bummer spending so much money to go on this trip for it to have ended up like this. We will not be staying with this hotel group ever again.

Not so much. On our first day, I tripped on a raised platform and fell on the marble floor. At the time, a couple people asked me if I was okay, which I wasn't sure at the time. I had just fallen. Nobody ever followed up with me. I ended up hurting my shoulder and bruising my elbow. On the third night, we had dinner at the Italian restaurant. Service was slooow and not the best. I had to go to our waiter in order for our table to be cleared and get the check. The meal was expensive!! Compared to what we get outside of the resort. Thankfully, we know not to do all inclusive. Lastly, even though there's a sign saying not to, people put towels on chairs in the morning, and don't show up until the afternoon. VERY FRUSTRATING. We still have 3 nights left!!! On the plus side, the location is good and rooms are clean.

Our stay was good, we did enjoy it. However, on your 1st day they will tell you about a 90 minute presentation for you to go to with offers of breakfast etc. This presentation will run waaaayyyyy over 90 minutes, lasting hours. You will be sold ideas of buying time shares, please read the fine print and don't be pressured even with lucrative offers. If you want to go back to your hotel and think it over I would highly recommend that. The last thing you want is time share obligations that you are not ready for. FYI you only have 5 days to cancel after signing.😞

I guess this place USED to be good but it’s horrible and nowhere in Mexico have I ever encountered meaner staff. First off the room was 4 hours late (great when you’re coming from an international flight), and they responded with “it’s your fault for reserving a big room to they are hard to clean.” Food is terrible and the people working at the only cafe will talk to each other with their backs facing you. It took 20-30 minutes to get coffee every day with 2-3 people in line. The last day our mom had a stroke at the resort. We couldn’t all go and it was our last day so we waited at the hotel. This happened early morning. They wouldn’t give us late check out to wait for an update in the room. They told us to go wait outside at the pool. We waited there. A few hours later security said the manager was looking for us. We went to the manager and he started screaming at us and calling us “stupid people who don’t know how to travel and probably have never stayed at a hotel before” because we didn’t check out. They knew the situation and we had never left the property. Our credit card was already on file and they had already gone in and cleaned the room so we weren’t slowing them down (even though they were 4 hours late giving us the room. Our mom was in the ICU, and we are “stupid” because we didn’t check out after we had already spoken to then and checked out. We just hadn’t signed some receipt that we didn’t know needed to be signed BECAUSE THEY DIDNT GIVE IT TO US WHEN THEY CHECKED OUT. The entertainment was sad and like a bad cruise, everything is geared towards uncultured Americans who don’t leave resorts. If you want to do the Macarena around some sad looking locals who hate their jobs, this is your place.

Even though we were in an older side of the resort, building 4, it was set to look and feel like spanish revival with ceiling beams, wrought iron stair railing and tiles etc. The balcony looked over 1 of 3 pools. There were 5 different restaurants in addition to the Cafe/ice cream bar off the lobby. We ventured to the beach daily and stayed all day. We had the pleasure of order from the wait staff working the beach. They were very thorough with order and check ins. The staff were also very friendly and helpful in setting up beach chairs and umbrellas. This resort, we heard will be being rebuilt, supposedly by 2026 or 2027 and that willprovide more rooms that all are ocean view and even.more pools! Would recommend this company's resorts as this was just 1 of many.

We spent 6 days here over the holidays and had such a nice time. The staff was so nice and the food at the restaurants inside the resort were very good. We did not have all inclusive as we wanted to get out and explore some local restaurants too. We had the junior suite which was the perfect size and had a small kitchen and fridge. My only warning is that if you like to sleep in, the mornings can be a little loud with the cleaning carts rolling through since everything echos. I brought ear plugs and was happy I did since I'm a light sleeper. If you can't find a chair to sit on the beach directly in front of the hotel, there is plenty of beach space and a guy will rent you an umbrella all day for like $5. We bought a beach blanket and had our umbrella and that was great for us. Overall, I just really liked the vibe and can't wait to go back.

Avoid this resort if you want all inclusive, you have to be signing for everything you consume. I was promised a room with a full bar and partial ocean view, and a $50 hotel credit and none was honored. When we got there it took a whole hour to check in. The room they gave us was all the way in the back near some kind of alley where they rolled carts in day and night. The room was right next to the stairs and the cleaning staff was not quiet at all they would be laughing and yelling very early in the morning. The food wasn't great, all the restaurants aren't always open during dinner you only have like two options. The waiting time is horrible, we waited about two hours for the Japanese Restaurant. The room service lady seemed to have an attitude and started yelling at a guy saying in front of us she had to clean so many rooms, she didn't take out the used cups in the room, she didn't wipe the table that was stained with orange juice she left the old juice just sitting there. She also took the blanket my daughter was using to sleep in the pull out bed and didn't replace it with a different blanket, we had to call the front desk and ask for a new one and wait for them to bring it so it was inconvenient. Some servers are great but others seems to be in a bad mood. I wouldn't return nor recommend this place. Too expensive for what they offer, service, food, hotel resort, pools. Not worth it.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Palmar. The hotel wasn't brand new but it was in very good condition. The staff was excellent and we had everything we needed. There were several great restaurants on the property which was very convenient if you didn't feel like going out somewhere to eat. I liked that it was right on the beach. Someone always helped us grab some lounge chairs, got an umbrella for us and even dug a hole in the sand to place the umbrella in so we had shade while we lolled on the beach. We will be back. Our room had a patio that overlooked the pool area. We enjoyed relaxing on our balcony.

Our stay has been so awesome. We did the all inclusive which for us was so worth it. Some people like to eat at the places around but we loved being able to stay on the resort & not worry about anything:) Our concierge Julio was super great. We did the presentation at Flamingos with Daniela, who was wonderful. It’s a 90 minute presentation BUT from the moment you come downstairs, take the taxi, the tour, then a taxi back was about 3.5-4 hours, so you have to decide if the freebies are worth it or not, for us it was:) we did not end up buying anything and they were perfectly nice & fine with it. The drinks are strong and service is great. Room service is fast :) the private beach is about 50 yards and each night they have theme nights. The Mexican Party was a lot of fun to watch & they do have daily activities. It’s not a party place, is very family friendly, and chill. 5 minutes from downtown & very well priced. The food is good! It’s not amazing but it is really good :) would recommend! :)

This hotel has some amazing views. Was happy that we selected the all inclusive option, as there was such amazing food at all the restaurants on site. Was not too far walking distance (15-30minutes) from the port and shops. All the staff was very friendly and attentive.

The management not very quick to react, and not very professional, I stayed here in October, and less than pleased, some staff work their butts off were others don’t, could be a various number of reasons, understand that and respect that, maybe they’re on day six of their work schedule, and they are exhausted, but The water in the big pool with the kids slide I found it to be cloudy and not very clean the rooms very outdated we arrived first we had to check into one room upstairs on a higher level, and then the following day we had to move to another room on a lower level. We’re only there for four nights, With all of this done, they still didn’t take this into consideration, having to bounce us around rooms and look after us a little bit more very poor service from the hotel management here I was here for a five day. All-inclusive, we arrived on an evening flight at 8 PM got to our front desk checked in, and they put us in a higher room, my father is with me elderly problems with knees, so we requested for ground floor ground floor was arranged the next day, and then we had to move again to downstairs, and for the all inclusive part our check out day on day five was at midday, but normally previous all inclusive. Let us stay there until it’s time for the airplane and you’re still allowed to use a facilities and also eating your meals, mind you we did arrive at 8 PM and our departure time was at Approximately 8 PM also, so I felt cheated on the manager could’ve waived the charges for the afternoon snacks, and drinks, but he didn’t and then I was not happy about that, explain to them that we had arrived late, and our flight out was late, and the previous all inclusive resorts that I’ve been to in Mexico are usually understanding to this, and have no problem and as long as you are there, you’re welcome to use all the facilities I eat and drink accordingly soat this resort they were not accepting or having any of that and the manager did not look after that so my eyes not very happy and I would not recommend for you to be staying at this hotel

The rooms were a little dated but still very nice. The service & all inclusive was awesome! 5 different restaurants to choose from (Seafood, Mexican, Italian, Japanese, Sports bar) plus a desert bar to satisfy the sweet tooth cravings 🤫 The food was excellent! 😋 The beach was very nice, however the location was close to some of the fast flowing rivers due to the heavy rain season which resulted in murkey water in the ocean so we didn't get to experience the nice blue Pacific we were hoping for. That being said, the main pool was very nice with a small slide for kids (or adult kids like myself ) so we did most of our swimming there but did still chill out on the beach & plunge into the ocean when we felt the need. We also did an excursion to get the nice blue ocean water. The staff was very friendly & accommodating. The gym facility was also very nice 👍 I would recommend this place but suggest in the non-rainy season if you want the blue ocean water.

This is our 3rd or 4th stay at this resort. It is clean, friendly & well maintained. The price of food seems to have increased, but many guests are all inclusive. Unfortunately the chain that owns this resort has plans to demolish it & replace with a sky scraping tower resort. The slide in the pool is lots of fun. There are 3 pools & a great beach area. Across the street is a fabulous seafood restaurant & a steakhouse.

Very impressive place. We stayed on all inclusive package for 7 days over the Christmas holiday 2022. It was our first holiday in Mexico. The Staff was amazing, the food was good, the room was clean. Being one of the first villa del palmar hotels built ; it had few minor issues like elevator out of service for a few hours and water pressure low. Not all rooms come With an ocean view. I can not Get over my morning orange juice freshly squeezed every morning! We’d love to come visit again!

We booked two rooms for the “Mexican experience “ at this resort. When we arrived on Friday, none of the promised amenities were Included. We were forced to listen to a rep for the timeshare program. We said we had zero Interest and just wanted to get to our room. She then said she works on commission and tried to sell us half price massage coupons for the spa. The rooms were not what we booked and paid for but could not get any change or information from the front desk. Asked about the ME several times and staff ignored us. Finally on Sunday, we spoke to the manager who said the program closed and corporate should have called me. He said he couldn’t get any discounts or credits for us. He advised we call corporate. They suggested that if I had signed up for tours, maybe I would be having a better time. After numerous emails and calls, corporate told us the manager on site had to be the one to offer a credit. The manager said he couldn’t. We got a free lunch on the day of check out. Not even close to what we should have gotten and paid for. Don’t stay in building B. It backs up to the service area which starts deliveries and making noise at 4am. The peacocks are cute until they start screaming before sunrise. The rooms pick up all noise from the device area. We could hear staff laughing and talking at all hours of the night. The Christmas Eve buffet was impossible To get into. Only option was room service that too almost two hours. Christmas Day buffet was cold and a lot of items were missing by the time we got through the line. Not enough bar staff for the pool areas. Takes forever! Beach chairs get reserved by guests before breakfast. Go early. Staff answering the phone were rude and snippy. Positive- the sports bar had good food and the staff were so attentive. Beds were hard. Room service dishes were never cleared by housekeeping. Elevator was down so we had to go up and down four flights of stairs. Maybe you are treated better if you go to the timeshare talk. We just wanted to enjoy the amenities of the hotel and relax.

You can tell this is one of the older resorts in the area. It's not as nice as the Flamingo or other newer resorts. The people are top notch though. Service was always great and the food in all of the resturants was great. El Patron being the best flavors on resort. Even the staff remembered on our last day that we had been looking for glasses similar to what they served there and asked if we found them or not.

Recently stayed here this past weekend 11/11-11/14, and items disappeared from our room when the cleaning staff came through, including my wife's prescription medication that was on the table. We immediately went into panic and tried to get help from the front desk but the concierge managers were no help at all and didn't follow up with us, I went down to the desk and talked to them 3-4 times about the items going missing from our room and they never even called us back. We are normally careful to put away valuables but weren't expecting them to steal medicine!! The views and location were nice and the rooms were spacious, the ocean view was worth it. The elevators were broken during our entire stay and never saw anyone trying to fix them, we were on the top floor so it was tough. The food was fine but there were only two restaurants and they were renting them out for private events and weddings so even though you paid for all inclusive the restaurants were closed to guests.

Very disappointed. Very bad cocktails. WIFI is about 10 US$ for each day, which is not acceptable, as I have never met another hotel where I had to pay for WIFI. At the beach there are plenty of sellers, you don't have a minute in peace. Price level is very high in comparison to what you get. Sure there are a lot of better hotels in this area. No recommendation. Have to add that after one bad review on Google, the hotel members very quick just published two good reviews, so that you don't have to see the bad one at first. Not very insightful.

We are so over being here!! We’ve been here a week and still have another week to go. We wish we could move to another resort for the remainder of our stay. Villa del Palmar in Puerto Vallarta is in serious disrepair. They will soon be demolishing to rebuild so naturally, nothing is taken care of. One of our elevators doesn’t work and the other is missing buttons. Our air conditioner leaks all over the floor and we have fallen a couple of times. Maintenance came to “fix” it and I think it’s leaking worse now. We have to stack pool towels under it and switch them out a couple of times a day. Then it started leaking on to the table and ruined everything we had on the table. Do not fall prey to the concierge making promises for you to go listen to the hard sell. They told us we could get 2 for 1 breakfast buffet for each day of our stay. The breakfast buffet is $33 each. But then she said we would have to go to the concierge desk every morning to pick up our coupon. Of course, every morning they look at us like we are crazy and have no idea what we are talking about. The snack bar at the pool is ridiculous. For example, five mozzerella sticks are $18. They add on a 15% service fee to everything you get while you are here and they tell you that it is not for gratuity and you should tip on top of that. We paid for transportation from the airport to the resort. When we arrived our shuttle was not there. I spoke to the shuttle desk and they didn’t have our reservation, even though I had the confirmation email. They said that didn’t help them find our res. We had to pay for a taxi for $60. When I talked to the concierge about it when we got here, she said she would give us free transportation for the rest of our family arriving the next day. The shuttle did pick them up but took them to the wrong resort. They didn’t tell them there are two different Villa del Palmar resorts so they could give them the address. They tried to check in at the wrong resort and ended up paying a taxi to drive them to the correct resort. Don’t arrive without enough sunscreen to last your stay. Their little market charges $47 for a tiny bottle. After reading all the reviews, their management will say “we are sorry that you weren’t happy with your stay, come back and give us another chance”….so you can do the exact same thing again? There are so many resorts to choose from. Pick one with better reviews!! I’ve never been so disappointed when traveling to Mexico.

This was the worst hotel/resort experience in my life. I booked two rooms 3 months ago and upon our arrival, the manager said " we have a situation, we have no room for your family" They sent us to another 3 star hotel and didn't even look sorry. It was so ridiculous as I received an email from this resort that they confirm the kids program that they offer and sent me a schedule. My guess is that our family didn't choose all-inclusive option as some of our family members don't drink and they just find a way to send people off to another resort. I would never go back to this resort and please be aware if you are looking to book this resort!.

I’m not coming back to this hotel. I got the room very dirty, with hair on the bed, the mirrors were dirty too, the couches were super stained and wet, seemed like they haven’t washed them in years. It needs a lot of maintenance in the rooms. And the food and drinks were super expensive and nothing extraordinary, also they charge 15% service for everything even a water bottle to go. Gotta say that the pools and the beach were nice. Unfortunately I wanted to cancel the moment I got my room but my bank couldn’t do anything because the time and the cancellation policy and and I wasn’t gonna loose my money so I had to stay but never coming back.

Overall a great experience. Huge thanks to Brayan serving by the pools/beach on several of the days. He was so friendly and ensured great service. I really liked the variety of pools and locations throughout the resort. The main, central pool seems like a perfect hub for families, while the other two pools stayed quieter and more adult-only (though I don't think they were strictly adult-only by any rule). Prices are fair, accessibility to the surrounding areas was easy, cleanliness and landscape were well-kept, and the grounds offer plenty of space and activities for all ages. My one complaint was that the hours of the food options were slightly difficult and did not always align with our needs during our stay. The quality was good, but perhaps another coffee shop or quick bites place would be beneficial. The service was slow at the food spots, which was fine, but if you are in a hurry I suggest looking for a different place for things like coffee and snacks. We were glad we did not do the all-inclusive option.

Staff was exceptional, we were on the accommodation plan only and the free breakfast each morning was awesome! Fun activities, day and night, and good location. Walking distance to plenty of restaurants and short cab rides to Romantic Zone. It's unbelievable how many beach and pool chairs are taken by 6 am! Does nobody sleep at this resort?

We were at your beautiful resort for two weeks, and I can tell you it was a wonderful experience from the day we arrived to the very last day. We did not chose the “all-inclusive” as my partner wanted to explore the beauty of Puerto Vallarta. All your staff was forever welcoming, warm and willing to be of assistance. Tania is an outstanding employee at the Concierge desk. Kudos for her excellent customer service; she was a warm breath of air; nothing “fake” about her. Thank you for such a wonderful experience at your resort!

Not a modern hotel but it is in great shape and well maintained. Clean! Excellent cost-benefit ratio. Close to restaurants and La Isla mall from walking distance. With a little kitchen inside your room!! That's excellent if you are on a budget. You have to get on the street to receive your Uber eats. Restaurants inside ok, a little pricy I would say. Tipping inside hotel facilities is charged against your will. 5 minute drive to supermarket or 15 minute walk.

Loved the decor, very unique. Clean and well stocked kitchenette. Decent sized pool and beach area and it was nice to be right across from the Food Park. They will set you up with beach chairs and an umbrella for free. Pro-tip: ask for 4 towels so you have a head rest ;) Wish we had gotten all inclusive as the food was great. Armando, who took our bags was splendid to talk to and was so helpful. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Unfortunately, we were told this trip they are tearing this place down to build a 5 diamond resort. How unfortunate. They are definitely not concerned about their current customers because no one here wants that mess! But, money is money, and it is sad this will be my last time here. It was fun while it lasted. Good luck, Villa Group, with your 5 diamond monstrosity you have planned. Other than that, I love this place! Staff is always friendly and helpful. Always a smile. At this visit, the building elevators were out of service, 1 completely, and the other for a few days. This was rough because my grandma is 80, Grandpa is 93, and going up and down 5 flights of stairs was impossible (thankfully, there wasn't an emergency).

The last time we came was like 3-4 years ago. We always loved this resort because of the location and the overall experience. This time around, we left so disappointed since day the concierge assigned was persistent for us to attend the presentation at Flamingos. She didnt give us the invitation for the welcome reception since my parents refused to go to that presentation. Also Out of the entire concierge team only 2 were nice. Front desk staff you will said good morning and will not respond back. In my opinion, they are the front face of the resort, they should have an exemplary customer service. We had an incident in the room were at 4am it smelled like burnt. I had to walk to front desk since we tried to called them but they wouldnt answer. They responded quickly and they wanted us for us to stay in the room the smell was strong but I asked them if we could be moved, their response let me see what can be done, we are at full capacity. Definitely a good strong customer service training is needed. The all day inclusive pass is good. The Thanksgiving dinner was good the show has potential .

Villa del Palmar Puerto Vallarta exceeded my expectations in every way possible (except for the tacky color decor & bath tub with half door). Found that booking directly from their website during promo actually is the cheapest. On our 1st visit, we got the 1 Bedroom Suite at building 4, room 4548, which seems to be recently remodeled since I can still smell the new paint. It has 2 closets and very comfy sofa bed. The only weird thing is the microwave is on top of the fridge and almost unreachable. We were planning to stay few days at Zona Romántica as well during our visit but the other hotel was so bad, we checked out right after and came back here. This time around I requested for 1st floor room for easy pool access and was given 4158 in building 5 which seems to be an accessible room so it has a walk-in shower instead of bath tub. The rooms feel a bit older and the kitchen layout is different from 4548. The microwave is at reasonable location now but there's no place to put the dish dryer. I have to put it on top of the stove. They should consider making the patio door to the pool to be lockable using room key as well and wish they provide refillable drinking water source. Only 2 bottles of water is provided during check in and you're expected to buy your next one. We really love the fully-furnished kitchen (even have Tupperware), big pool (wish it has more than 1 slide + they should heat up kiddos jacuzzi too) and the free kayak & paddleboards (shout out to Ian who is really awesome at the water activities center). The different theme night everyday is also really fun. We especially love casino night which won't cost you anything and you can even win things! We learned about Mexico bingo and loved it so much that we bought a set back home. Most night feels a bit too low key tho so not a good choice if you prefer festive, party atmosphere. People here are mostly seniors who own time share and they recommend Flamingo location better due to the newer facility + bigger room (no water slide and far from downtown tho). Heard that they will start a total remodeling at this location next year. Don't get pull into their "90-min" timeshare presentation since I heard most people don't get out until 4 hours later. Definitely highly recommended if you're looking for optional all inclusive resort that doesn't break the bank (you can do partial all inclusive too).

There were highs and lows to our stay which I will elaborate on, but overall it was satisfactory. The benefits were friendly staff, good beach access, and cleanliness. My friend and I went for the all-inclusive package, which I regret in hindsight as I didn't enjoy a single meal. You can get much more delicious food far more inexpensively if you take a taxi downtown. The acoustics of the building we stayed in (the main building) made it seem noisy at times even at night. But I wonder if this would be different in the other buildings as they didn't seem as open-air. The most disatisfactory experience that caused a fair amount of stress was the on-site covid testing. My friend and I tried for three days to schedule one, but everyone kept sending us to someone else to get scheduled. Finally, we got it figured out, but we weren't offered different times, but were assigned one at a very inconvenient hour. On top of that, our results were never sent to us and the concierge had closed with our flight being the next day. Fortunately, the front desk happened to have copies of our negative test results. Not sure I would stay here again, but I wouldn't be opposed to it either. I just wouldn't get the all- inclusive package.

Our stay was awesome. We had studio room , clean and good size. All convenience are available. Staff was very good. Check in hassle free. Kids loved the pool and different activities. Lots of activities option and concierge option to guide. Multiple restaurants and food options. Location is a highlight as we have a mall and food park 2mins walking.

My family and I stayed at Villa del Palmar for a few days. It was a lovely experience. The restaurant there served delicious food and the staff were very welcoming and kind. I’d like to extend my gratitude to Diego and Tania in particular for accommodating us so well They were quick to answer any questions we had and overall provided great customer service. I highly recommend this resort and look forward to visiting again!

This hotel is great! Beautiful layout, lots of great places to eat, and very helpful and friendly staff! Margo and Martin from concierge desk were so helpful and just such a great help during my stay. Ramon and David were great too, and gave great recommendations on places to go to help make my puerto Vallarta trip very successful!! I also love how this property is steps away from the beach and how every room has a tub! There is also a kitchen and fridge if you need to cook anything!! This hotel has all your needs covered at such an affordable price. They also do covid testing as well! Everything you need in one place!

Stay at this resort at least twice a year for several weeks at a time. It is a smaller resort, fairly quiet, nice rooms , on the ocean and the best staff of over 500 people that you will ever meet. In the past I have mentioned many of the great people who work in concierge, a lot of the waiters , pool and restaurants, a lot of staff managers . Rawl the butler around the pool is a great person, very friendly and never gets upset, Sarah and Beatrice working with member services always have time to stop and chat with a friendly smile.I want to mention 3 people in particular that work on the front desk check in .Jose, front desk manager, Daniel, assistant front desk manager and Thelma working at front desk checking people in have been excellent in getting me rooms that I preferred. These people are very accommodating and will go to great lengths to see that you are happy in your stay. If you have a chance, visit this resort and discover what so many others have found as a hidden gem. Alex our new general manager appears to be very interested in seeing that this resort stays a 5 Star resort that people want to visit. He, as well, is very proud of the staff that works here. Come and try it, I promise you will not be disappointed

The 2 bedroom suite surprised us with an extra restroom which was great since the occupants of the 3 suites we rented spent the majority of their downtime in ours.. it was well equipped kitchen all the way down to large mixing bowls. Rosario kept our suite clean despite the presence of 14 people there during her tidying up. The room did have issues with one of the Ac units and fans but they promptly went to address the issues. The family enjoyed there stay so much that they want to return again near year-end..

This is one of the best resorts, I can't even describe how pleased I was. They treated us like a kings 🤴 ✨️ Rooms are amazing, clean and colorful. The pools were clean The food was absolutely delicious 😋 and, drinks 🍸 😋 I will be delighted to be back next 2023. Many thanks to all the lovely staff and, thank you for being such a wonderful team.

I’m leaving this in the beginning of my stay because I don’t want to prejudge the rest. Place is cute. Authentic looks and feel. Food kinda limited but the sports bar has really good food. I was given an “upgrade” to a suite with one bed for my teen son and myself then given a cot for him (5’11”) to sleep in. When I asked to change the girl at the front acted irritated I would ask. The pull out sofa is for a small child not an adult sized human. The breakfast buffet is outrageously expensive if your not all inclusive. But the people try hard to help otherwise. Not a bad experience at all and great for big sized groups.

A relaxing 5-day getaway. The resort was extremely clean. The concierge staff Denise and Julio were very professional and helpful. Enjoyed both the spa and gym. Housekeeping staff was friendly and very efficient. Wish the Italian restaurant didn't have a Mexican buffet most of our stay, which was a bit disappointing. The sports bar staff and shrimp tacos great.

Marcela graciously and kindly greeted me upon my arrival to Villa Del Palmar. Her friendly inviting demeanor was such a welcoming presence especially since I wasn’t familiar with this resort. Throughout my stay she was gracious and attentive and offered many lovely recommendations in the resort and outside. Julio was right there offering the same fantastic recommendations and assistance with the resort when Marcela was not available to assist me. A lovely concierge‘s team that works together. We’ll done!

Excellent friendly service. Breakfast buffet was delightful and family said the made to order omelettes were the best they ever had. Location on the beach was awesome too and the pool areas were great. Location is walkable. Only reason we may not return is the rooms are pretty dated....and they didn't have the room type we reserved so kids had to sleep on a rollaway bed and the couch and they were very uncomfortable.

This hotel is a great place for families for extended stays. All personnel was kind and easy to talk to. They have an excellent repertory for a fun time for all ages. The only thing that I wish they do was to accept cash. All restaurants and snack bars only accept cards or are charged to the room. Also, watch out, the tip is already included in the bill. Although, it’s always nice to give little something to the waiters.

The resort is overall very nice and clean. The amenities are great. The staff are nice and helpful. Ramon from the concierge desk has really made our stay amazing. From the moment we got here, he was very helpful, got the whole family breakfast, complimentary drinks, free wifi for the whole week and massages for everyone. He’s the best. The ladies at the spa were so good, I was so relaxed. Overall great experience.

The best hotel in Mexico. If you need to relax, this hotel is for you. We stayed 8 days w/ my family in April 2023 and I would like to go back again. Relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff, clean room w/ ocean view and amazing restaurants. Location is also 5 stars. Thank you so much to people who work for this hotel.

We had a lovely stay here for our anniversary. We were given an upgraded room upon arrival. Paul was very helpful and great to talk to. Our housekeeper Ana kept our room tip top! The servers in the bar/restaurant next to the pool were very friendly and the food was delicious. The beach side service was great and the margaritas were just right (not too sweet!) The food park across the street has a ton of great options as well. We would absolutely come here again and would definitely recommend!

Everywhere we turn, people are ready to help, even if it’s not their specific job. If I ask for directions someone will take me there, not just point. Especially appreciate Martin and Mago—always ready to help at the concierge desk. An awesome experience. David at El Patron restaurant is very attentive and willing to help me with my desire to learn Spanish. Housekeeping always finds a way to do something special and different. Highly recommended!

Nice atmosphere, quite busy but in a good way. I somehow could not get over the fact that people actually came down to reserve pool beds at 6:30 am before going back to bed... Sad. The good points of this hotel are: the great location, good beac, super friendly service, great breakfast and restaurants/bars on site. Recommended!

During our recent visit at Villa del Palmar, we had a positive first impression of the resort. However, the check-in process was a bit lengthy, which was a minor inconvenience. On the bright side, the parking was free, and the resort boasted several appealing pools and restaurants. The staff members who assisted with beach chairs were incredibly friendly and accommodating, adding to the overall pleasant experience. The beach itself was suitable for swimming, offering a great opportunity to enjoy the coastal waters. Although the rooms were slightly outdated, they were impeccably clean, which we greatly appreciated. The resort's highlight was undoubtedly the pools, which we thoroughly enjoyed during our stay. Additionally, the presence of numerous activities kept us entertained and tempted to spend the majority of our time at the resort.

4.5 stars! My stay here was fantastic from start to finish! The staff was amazing and offered excellent customer service in every area. I did all-inclusive which was a steal because each meal was $40 US dollars or more and include that amount in the room rate it made total sense. All restaurants are not open daily so keep note of that. You will get a calendar that shows you what is open when. The food was really good at each place i went including the crepes and sports bar! Love the colorful room and the pool/ocean view. We stayed in the same building as the reception/lobby and I would suggest that too. The pools were the perfect temperature and I loved getting in it. I did a massage on the beach which was amazing. There are daily activities and a few night shows. If you want to do off-site activities, talk to the "man under the stairs" and he will give you great rates. Cats are roaming the resort and they're fun to see. I also loved that there was a shopping mall a block away where I definitely did some damage and found some cute unique looks to bring home. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back. They would get 5 stars if they had an adult-only night with dancing and a DJ.

Nice resort, grounds are well maintained and one of the best hotel gyms I've ever had the pleasure of using. Very clean with great equipment, even the older pieces were well serviced. They even had a dry sauna and therapeutic hot tub in the locker room(s). Great beach access as well and centrally located between El centro and the Marina... just two cons... I booked a garden view room and ended up with a parking lot view... And it's a time share operation... We made it clear we were not interested in TS and they were kind enough not to pressure sale...

Let me start by saying the exterior of the hotel is nice and clean. Clean pools. But the rooms need to be updated. The beds were very comfortable and the sofa bed is not a sofa bed is an actual bed. BUT here comes our disappointment, the waiters. So we felt discriminate because we got the all-inclusive, let me explain, so when we checked in the lady let us know that the tips were already included in our price/payment which I thought it was nice but I knew I still wanted to tip. But to our surprise we noticed that the waiters (75% of them) didn't give us the same service as the other people that were not wearing a bracelet ( the all inclusive bracelet). That was very unfortunate and specially because we found out that all the employees do get a bonus every paycheck on all the all-inclusive packages that they sale. So the rude treatment is not acceptable. FYI we did tip EVERYTIME any waiter/waitress gave us good service ( as we should)

Don’t come here. There’s nothing good about this resort. We’ve been to every Villa Del Palmar in Mexico. This one is the worst by far. Probably the worst resort I’ve ever stayed in, in fact. First impression, was the terrible service provided by the crepe ladies on November 21, and November 22, 2023. Not only were they extremely rude they would laugh at us hysterically for no reason whenever we ordered something. Not sure how they have a job here. They punched in our order wrong and then blamed us. They spoke about us in Spanish assuming we couldn’t understand. They should be fired immediately, in my opinion. The service at all restaurants is terrible. We wait over an hour for food anywhere we go, including room service. Don’t expect to get your drinks for at least 30 minutes. And no, they weren’t busy. There were at least 6 people just standing around. There is only one place to eat all day. On our second night, 2 restaurants were closed so we could only choose between Japanese or Italian. Well the Italian is the only place open for breakfast and lunch so we really had only one choice unless we want to eat the same thing 3 times a day. During breakfast today, no server came up to us at all and not one word was ever spoken to us during the entire time we sat there. We had to get up to get our own coffee and bill, and even when we did still no words were spoken to us. When we get to the pools in the morning, the chairs are all covered with water and dirt, and the pool cleaners are in there so we can’t even swim. Plus they are painting the rocks with something that smells like nail polish. This should be done way earlier in the day so people can actually enjoy being by the pool. Alfonso who appears to be some kind of manager is terrible. Does he speak English? It’s questionable as he doesn’t seem to respond to direct questions. He took away all of our beach towels when we walked away for a second, saying we can’t reserve spots, yet leaves everyone else’s towels who had been gone for hours. I’m not sure what he does all day, as he just seems to walk around and stare. The beach is not enjoyable. Expect to be surrounded by smokers and harassed by a constant barrage of solicitors. You will be harassed by people selling you trinkets every 2 minutes. People should not be allowed to walk around and harass you while you’re trying to relax and enjoy the beachfront at a hotel. Hospitality seems to be a foreign language at this place. Don’t expect to be greeted by any hotel staff even when you are standing in front of them waiting for service. Terrible place! We will never come back!
