Upon
entering
the
driveway,
one
immediately
is
at
the
reception/lobby
of
the
resort.
There
arenât
any
doorsâjust
open.
We
arrived
before
the
check-in
rush
and
weâre
able
to
book
our
room
immediately.
I
requested
an
upgrade
but
we
would
have
to
wait
about
2-3
hours,
so
I
opted
to
keep
ours.
While
checking-in,
our
bags
were
held
by
a
staff
member
amongst
many
other
bags.
Once
checked
in,
we
were
escorted
to
transportation
(which
while
planning
this
trip,
it
was
suggested
that
I
use
one
of
their
companies
on
site
to
book
transportation
servicesâIâll
separate
that
review).
About
30
minutes
of
dealing
with
transportation
paperwork
and
payment,
then
we
were
lead
to
our
roomâŚwith
our
bags.
Our
room
was
beautiful.
Very
spaciousâactually,
almost
like
a
suite.
The
bathroom
had
a
separate
tub,
walk-in
shower,
two
sinks
and
separate
toilet.
The
room
had
a
large
sofa
and
a
small
dining
table
area.
The
patio
had
a
beautiful
view
of
the
beachâŚalso
with
a
large
tub
(jacuzzi),
which
seemed
old
and
didnât
have
a
cork
to
coverâwe
had
to
get
a
washcloth.
My
disappointment
was
that,
even
if
I
booked
a
king
size
room,
I
was
given
two
queen
beds.
Rather
than
having
to
deal
with
all
that
lengthy
ordeal,
we
kept
the
room.
(I
checked
my
reservation
forms
to
double
check
and
it
did
say
âking.â)
The
beautiful
photos
you
see
of
the
pool
areas
online,
most
likely
are
from
the
adult
hotel
Hacienda,
which
is
also
a
Krystal
Altitude
resort
and
in
my
option,
far
superior.
We
loved
the
quick
access
to
the
beach.
We
were
able
to
quickly
grab
beach
loungers
and
somewhat
relax
under
umbrellas.
There
were
MANY
MANY
vendors
approaching
usâso,
it
was
difficult
to
close
our
eyes
peacefully,
without
being
interrupted.
We
wanted
to
use
one
of
the
pools
but
it
was
difficult
as
there
were
many
loungers/chairs
reserved
(mind
you,
we
were
told
seats
could
only
be
help
for
60
minutes
before
staff
went
to
clear
themânever
saw
that
happen).
There
were
day
beds
available,
but
that
was
another
walk
to
the
lobby
and
another
lengthy
process,
so
we
skipped
it
and
grabbed
a
quick
bite
from
the
snack
areaâburgers
and
soggy
tempura.
One
evening,
there
was
a
wedding
on
the
beach
and
their
event
went
on
past
midnight,
and
we
could
hear
many
of
the
guests
still
rowdy
on
the
beach
by
our
room.
We
were
able
to
eat
at
the
buffet
by
the
pools.
It
had
a
better
selection
of
food
and
morning
mimosas.
After
a
nice
beach
walk,
wanting
to
lounge
by
pool,
again,
unable
to
because
by
9am,
every
chair
had
a
towel
on
it
but
no
one
in
pool.
We
walked
over
to
the
Hacienda
side,
(we
were
informed
with
our
bracelet,
we
were
able
to).
Immediately
walking
there,
the
feeling
of
regret
in
booking
Krystal
hit.
The
environment
was
differentâno
loud
pool
activities
but
quietness
(even
with
a
pool
yoga
class
there).
We
got
lounge
seats
under
an
umbrella.
And
stayed
there
most
of
the
day
(this
place
has
a
separate
review).
We
kept
having
to
go
down
to
the
lobby
due
to
our
key
bracelets
constantly
stop
working.
In
3
days,
we
maybe
went
to
have
it
reset
about
5-6
times.
Kind
of
a
disappointment
when
after
a
long
day,
you
just
want
to
go
straight
to
your
roomâŚhaving
to
walk
extra
all
the
way
to
the
lobby
was
one
thing,
but
having
no
one
available,
separately
from
the
check-in/out
crowd,
was
something
else.
Krystal
used
to
be
a
Hilton.
Unfortunately,
to
me,
this
is
nowhere
being
what
I
expected.
Iâve
done
a
few
all
inclusive
resorts
and
what
I
paid,
certainly
was
not
worth
it,
especially
when
it
comes
to
the
food.
I
cannot
even
remember
what
I
ateâthatâs.
Having
a
room
near
the
pool
was
a
mistake,
as
the
party
atmosphere
echoes
through
and
it
was
difficult
to
just
be
and
relax,
when
we
were
in
the
room.
The
one
thing
that
will
stay
with
me
though,
is
the
amazing
generosity
of
the
staff.
I
never
came
across
anyone
who
was
rude
in
any
way.
Especially
the
staff
getting
our
drinks
at
the
beach
or
the
pool
area
in
adult
side
(hacienda).
Evening
shows
at
the
lobby,
were
fantastic,
as
well.
Note
that
if
youâre
looking
for
luxury,
this
isnât
the
place.
