Just went for the pool party .advertised as no cover charge. Untill you arrive. Then it's $35.00 per person canadian then dr8nks make for a very expensive afternoon to sit by the pool. I'm so disappointed.

Came here for my first PV experience, along with a group of friends. We pre-paid for the rooms, which saved us a little bit. The good: Check-in was easy enough and my room was quite impressive (I paid for an upgrade). Each room is unique, as I took a peak at my friends' rooms. The gym was another bonus, as it has it all, and is never crowded; even though locals can buy a membership for just the club. The clothing optional pool is the spot! We stayed here because of that. This is on top of a hill, allowing views from everywhere. The not so good: Though the staff is friendly, they weren't super helpful, as maybe this is the Mexico way. Paying the price we did, I expected just a bit more, even for the overpriced catered dinner we had them prepare (think it was their first time). The hotel is beautiful, but it needs repairs and plenty of areas had garbage and just didn't look finished, along with the road up to the hotel and the lack of a sidewalk. There are 3 pools, none of them are heated. The naked jacuzzi is warm, but not hot. The jacuzzi under the restaurant is never on, nor is the steam room, which is always locked. I had to ask someone every time, to turn them on. Coffee in the room: Each room has a different coffee setup and is very limited. This is a ritual for me, and it was very disappointing. Be careful of the water, not matter what the staff tells you, its not safe. Overall: Love the location and the rooms, but clean up the area surrounding the hotel and heat at least one of the pools.

This friendly and beautiful hotel is a heavenly escape from reality. Everyone is welcome and becomes instant family in a fantasy setting of culture mixed with elegance. The pool parties are so full of adult fun and unexpected friends from every walk of life. As the mother of a transgender son, it’s so wonderful and reassuring to know there is a place for him to be his true self and be accepted. Everyone is welcome to the Saturday or super fun Sunday parties and Friday is for men or those who identify as men party. Check it out. You’ll be back I’m sure.

Went there for Sunday brunch at the pool and it was barely ok. I had high expectations as it is described as a upscale luxury place and boutique hotel. Instead you get into terra cotta and concrete environment that is so Mexican cliché. Not to mention out of the way it is. Brunch was very lame and consisted of four hot pots and a few dishes, a few croissant-sandwich and desert bites not to mention flies around every dish. 2 of the hot pots were empty yet no one to wave to to ask what it was or if this is going to be refill. We learned that we could order omelets but only after we finished. So for 30 USD per person, (drink not included) I was extremely disappointed, knowing how good is the food in Mexico. The most surprising is the drink prices
 $15-20 USD per drink
don’t be fooled by the “upscale “ description of the place, it’s the most ordinary place I have seen. The room section seemed renovated and newer, but it doesn’t feel “boutique “ at all. Positive side: It has stunning views as it is up high on the hill. I’m happy I will not have to go there again. I have been to Mantamar Beach Club and it is SO much better.

Such a waste of money for this pool party. They oversold admission so it was standing room only, the pool is tiny, they ran out of lockers so there was no place to keep our stuff, you have to pay for a towel, tables, etc. It was also billed as a men-only clothing optional party and there was a mixed gender crowd. We stayed 5 minutes, paid $20+ each + tip, and I almost had a panic attack from claustrophobia. Awful experience. Edit, because I saw the cheapskate owner of this place replied: it was absolutely sold to us as a men-only party by the people handing out fliers on the beach, the flier only had men on it as well, so if you were trying to project that this was a mixed crowd event, your advertising needs help. When the ratio is 95% men and two drunk women at a table, if a mixed crowd party was the one you were trying to throw, it was a failure. When I say standing room only, I mean there was literally nowhere to exist without being on top of someone else or in the way. The space was simply not large enough for the crowd, but that didn’t stop you from taking our money. Seriously, I cannot recommend that you steer clear of this party, the people who own this place only care about money, not quality experiences.

We had a great stay at Casa Cupula! Boris and the reception team were awesome and made our stay very comfortable after a plumbing problem left our original suite uninhabitable. A switch to the Frida suite and a few perks were appreciated! Lovely hotel and an accommodating, pleasant team throughout the facility. The pool parties were a bust, but everything else was great.

I had the chance of staying for the first time for a long weekend, and it exceeded my expectations. Besides all the party, the staff is very warm and always makes you feel welcome. The room was very cool and cozy. The internet was great (I had to do some home office). And the fact that the hotel is pet friendly it’s the cherry on top. Also, some of the best views of Vallarta you will get them there.

wonderful place to stay. We just got back from a week visit at Casa Cupula. The staff could not be more helpful. The Manager Boris takes her job to heart and will do what she has to make your stay enjoyable. The resort is on a hill so be ready to walk or they offer a car that will drop you at locations. Coming back the uber ride is approximately $2.00 American monies. I would prefer right on the beach. But it is the next best thing,. We stayed in room #321 right off the main office area. We had a great room, great view and great overall experience.. I highly recommend this place for a very nice vacation.

Had a day pass to checkout the place. It was a nice resort on top of a hill. The facility was ok. The pool was too small. Restroom by the pool is clean but could be better. Male staff were nice. Food/drinks were ok.

We stayed in the Sayuri suite and it was amazing. Great view, heated patio dipping pool, bed was comfy, shower was huuuge. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Shout out to Simon at the front desk who is just a ray of sunshine and made us feel very welcome. Was our first time staying at an LGBTQ+ resort, and we'll definitely be back. Thank you for a very memorable trip!

My husband and I have stayed at this property probably nearly a dozen times. And we will hope we can stay at Casa Cupula a dozen more times. To us, Casa Cupula feels like home away from home. The crew at the hotel is the perfect blend of fun and professional. And the pool parties couldn't be more entertaining. We love Jean "Papi", Miguel, Felix, Saul, Jose, and the rest of the Pool Club team and reception staff for ensuring everyone is having a good time and taken care of. We have seen Casa Cupula evolve over the years, and it keeps getting better and better.

I added the VIP shuttle service and highly recommend you do the same. I was greeted by Simon and the staff at Casa Cupula. The entire Casa Cupula team want your stay to be excellent. Simon showed me around the property before taking me to my room. My room was fantastic. My bed was extremely comfortable. The Milagro Suite has an incredible terrace with tub, and lots of space for sun and lounging outside. The sunsets from the balcony were extraordinary! The Bistro at the hotel has the best food in PV. Everything ‘to do’ in PV is within walking distance.

Very beautiful luxury hotel with helpful and accommodating staff. The concierge, Felix, was very attentive and friendly. Pool staff, Ivan, was focused on our needs. They have 2 cute hotel dogs who are eager to play. The hotel is nearby many places to eat and have fun.

Based off the reviews I had high hopes for this place and I feel a bit shafted sadly. When I got there I was made aware that I would be required to move rooms on the last day of my stay, which took time from my morning. It seems like this information was held deliberately until I arrived and I felt like I had no other options. And to add insult to injury it was tiny room compared to the other one which was much better.I also expected a higher end of luxury but the toilet was loose in one of the rooms and the showers got water everywhere. This may have been a one off bad experience based off the other reviews but ultimately I was left disappointed. Staff is friendly though.

Only went for the clothing optional pool party. Was a great time, very entertaining host. Met some very cool people from all over the world. Wait staff was attentive and fun to interact with. 3rd time we've been to this party, we would probably stay at the hotel too given the opportunity.

Wow. We stayed here for five nights and was amazed at the room, service, and views. We were in the BellaVista and had great views of the bay. Rooms are clean. Air conditioned, in suite laundry. Full size refrigerator. Felix and the team know what they are doing. Warning. The hill leading to Casa Cupula is a workout!

It’s boutique and tucked away. Incredible staff, guests are great- friendly fun vibes. It close enough to walk to everything but far enough to be away from it all. They also made Covid testing a total breeze. Concierge are very well connected within PVR and the service is above and beyond. It’s not a perfect hotel however it’s so so charming that I’m a returned customer. 3 pools, lots of green- very lovely experience.

Just an all around wonderful quirky hotel with incredible staff who will know what you want before you do. We loved our private hot tub and pool (we stayed in the penthouse suite but all rooms looked like they had their own unique awesome touches. The owner greeted us personally and is often on site socializing with his team and his regular customers. I can’t wait to try it under non-pandemic circumstances. It was a truly unique stay, I loved the hotel pool, I loved that it was clothing optional though I chose to stay clothed (and masked). The dancers were a fun touch to the pool. My one complaint was hot water for the shower. Two complaints - the stove took 30 minutes to boil water - so all my complaints are hot eater related. Otherwise loved it all. Definitely will go back - we were interested in a private pool more than shenanigans, but I get the feeling there are definitely awesome shenanigans here. And we had a couples spa day for under US 300 for both - massages, facials, body wraps in our suite. It was one of my favorite vacation days of all time.

Very nice, comfortable, welcoming hotel right on the edge of Zona Romantica. I loved the spacious, well appointed room and meticulous housekeeping services. The gym is well equipped and properly cooled. Some of the selling points (clothing optional pool parties or all-you-can-eat brunch) were of less interest to me but only because I visited from where these attractions are common. I’m taking one star off for the location: while the hotel is situated within a very short walking distance from everything, you need to cross an annoying highway and do some moderate climbing to reach it back. This can be easily remedied by taking very inexpensive Uber so it’s a tiny detail that shouldn’t prevent you from staying here.

Good hotel and staff but has some quirks, including a somewhat isolated location on a steep hill and lots of stairs to get to the rooms and facilities. Restaurant is good for breakfast and lunch. The Saturday pool party at the Pool Club is fun. Book ahead and get there at 3. If you have mobility issues or want easier access to Zona Romantica the Pinnacle properties might be a better deal.

I am only giving a review based on being there as a day pass. Its a bit of a steep incline hike to get there, if your someone who has difficulty walking i would suggest getting a taxi. Don’t remember how much the day pass is but you also get a free drink coupon either for one beer or one margarita. Towels I believe are 100 Paso. Staff is very friendly and great customer service. They make everyone feel welcome if you want to be naked or if you dont no pressure. Accepting of all body types and ages. Definitely will come back!

Had a great experience at Casa Cupula during their Saturday party. Last time we visited Casa Cupula we didn’t get the chance to be present for the grand opening of their pool expansion. The new expansion of the pool offers so much more room. The pool is heated at just the right temperature.

CC was a great stay for me as a first time solo traveler to PV. The on-site restaurant for breakfast and lunch is excellent as well as lunch at the pool club. The Frida Suite is a full on one bedroom apartment with great views. Front desk staff and concierge are helpful with things on and off property.

Most amazing view of Puerto Vallarta and the sea. Rooms are great and service is perfect in many senses. Food and drink options at the restaurant and bar can be better and I think that would also attract more tourism. I loved the bar service at the pool but the drinks quality/price are not proportional in my opinion.

My husband and I run a dog grooming salon and are from Seattle, Washington where there is close to no sunshine year round so we wanted to visit somewhere with warmer temperatures, pools, nice google reviews, no children and LGBT friendly places. We settled on Puerto Vallarta and Casa Cupula was the one hotel we both agreed on. We stayed there 6 days/nights it is within 5 minutes of walking distance to the beach / into Zona Romantica which was the go to area for us the entire time we stayed in Puerto Vallarta. 10 out of 10 in our opinion and we will definitely be coming back anytime we are down that way again.

I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel. First, the staff was incredible. Everyone was super friendly and very helpful. Our room was spectacular as was the view from our balcony. I think this might be the only place I ever stay when I come back to Puerto Vallarta

It's very exciting to be able to stay in a LGBT hotel for a few nights. I enjoy hanging out with new friends, as well as lying by the pool in very tight shorts.

What a retreat! It was my first time to PVR and this place came recommended. It did not disappoint. Close enough to everything but far enough for some needed R&R. The rooms are spacious and I was really surprised we had our own balcony. The wifi is fast and mod cons (like outlets near the bed) are present. What really makes this place shine are the staff, though. Everyone we encountered was super hospitable. Special thank you for Saul for making us feel so welcomed and to Lalo at the Bistro. Can’t wait to return.

Entrance fee is too much - 500 pesos, they didn't say about price in advertising. Gogo boys r boring, party is low.

    Where do I begin?
Our stay was absolutely incredible. I can’t say enough about the staff here. Every single employee was like family by the end of the trip. They were just fabulous. Every. Single. One. Particular shout outs go to Antonio, Boris, Lalo and Carlos among a few. I just can’t say enough good things about the staff here. Our room was incredible. We stayed in the Milagro Suite which I would definitely recommend. It comes with a living room, bedroom, two bathrooms, wrap around balcony with hot tub and private access to a roof top pool. Views of the ocean. Just perfect. Breakfast at The Bistro is good and affordable. Be aware that all food service stops by 6:30 pm but honestly, you’ll want to go out for dinner any way and they’ll even bring you there! Now for the downsides; the Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty sometimes but you’re on vacation anyway. Get off your phone! The water temp knobs in showers and on sinks are a little finicky and sensitive but it is what it is. Some minor things are a little dated but you can tell they are starting to do upgrades and we were told a large pool expansion is likely to come during the slow season so there’s that to look forward to. Overall, an incredible experience. Ranks as one of the top vacations of my lifetime. I would highly recommend Casa Cupula to any LGBT travelers. You won’t regret it!

We stayed at Casa Cupala from 1/28 to 2/1, and really enjoyed ourselves. We stayed in the Sayuri suite, which has a spacious balcony with a small dipping pool, and views of the mountains (there is an ocean view too, but partly obstructed). The room had an Apple TV and receiver/speakers, so we could always have music on to fit our mood. There’s a full size kitchen and hidden washer and dryer, and a large walk in shower and indoor jetted tub. Room service is available, as is food and drinks at the Beach Club (pool). In fact there are two pools. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean. The drinks and food are good quality. A couple of times things we asked for weren’t delivered, but they were small things (refill the shower gel). They host pool parties on Fridays, Saturdays and a drag brunch on Sunday. We’ll be back - a fun place we recommend. There’s a busy road to cross and a steep hill to climb to get to the hotel, but it’s short and good exercise when you’ve been drinking and eating a lot. Don’t let it deter you from staying there. It’s very close to everywhere you want to go.
