The
strangest
and
worst
doctors
appointment
I’ve
ever
had.
On
the
day
of
the
appointment,
the
doctor
tried
to
tell
me
the
appointment
was
at
7pm,
when
we’d
clearly
agreed
4pm
previously.
I
arrived
on
time
and
was
left
waiting
for
30
mins.
As
I
was
waiting,
a
huge
brown
H2
Hummer
pulled
up
with
the
strange
looking
occupant
-
a
skinny
elderly
man
wearing
a
multicoloured
baseball
cap,
remaining
seated
inside
it
for
a
few
minutes.
Eventually
the
odd
occupant
got
out
and
came
in.
I
was
surprised
to
find
out
this
was
the
doctor.
Underneath
the
cap,
he
had
dyed
purple
hair
and
was
dripping
in
abundant
hideous
tacky
silver
bling
jewellery
that
would
bad
enough
on
a
hip
hop
act
40
years
younger
than
him.
It
was
hard
to
believe.
A
huge
silver
questionable
diamond
crucifix
around
his
neck,
a
ruby
chain
bracelet,
a
massive
lions
head
silver
ring,
a
few
other
big
silver
rings
with
dubious
looking
stones.
It
was
really
tacky
look,
especially
someone
nearing
70
years
old.
After
arriving
30
minutes
late,
to
which
he
offered
no
apology.
I
went
into
his
office,
which
was
even
stranger
than
his
appearance.
The
office
table
was
littered
with
toy
cars.
There
were
a
couple
of
electric
guitars
and
an
amp
and
even
a
nightclub
style
laser
on
the
ceiling.
I
have
no
problems
with
eccentricities,
but
the
room
was
so
clustered
to
the
point
where
it
didn’t
seem
hygienic.
He
then
tested
by
blood
pressure
and
reflexes.
None
of
these
items
were
alcohol
sanitised
before
or
after
using,
which
during
the
current
covid
times
we’re
in
was
very
concerning.
At
the
end
of
this
process
he
charged
me
triple
what
other
doctors
would
have
charged.
When
I
asked
for
a
proper
receipt,
he
reluctantly
scribbled
out.
He
demanded
cash
even
though
he
has
signs
that
said
they
accepted
cards.
So
given
the
cash
and
the
non
legit
receipt,
one
would
assume
this
wasn’t
on
the
books
for
tax
purposes.
When
my
friends
had
expressed
concern
at
this
whole
strange
scenario.
I
emailed
him
asking
for
a
break
down
of
costs.
His
reply
wasn’t
clear.
So
when
I
emailed
again,
he
replied
shouting
at
me
in
all
capital
letters.
After
that
I
decided
it
would
be
best
to
just
walk
away
from
the
money
I’d
spent
as
I
had
no
confidence
in
bid
ability
to
conduct
himself
in
a
professional
and
composed
manner.
Based
on
this
whole
experience,
how
he
presented
himself,
how
unprofessional
he
was
and
how
angry
he
got,
I
can
only
assume
he’s
on
drugs
or
he’s
in
the
midst
of
a
late
life
crisis.
A
very
unpleasant
experience,
a
very
strange,
abrupt,
rude
and
unprofessional
man.
I’m
surprised
this
place
is
still
in
business.
Avoid
at
all
costs.
The
man
cares
more
about
bad
fashion,
awful
dated
cars
and
money
than
he
does
his
patients.
