Situated in the large historic home of an early Auckland business figure, this is now a gallery for New Zealand art. Lots of changing exhibits.

I don't know anything about art, but I had a lovely time exploring the TSB Bank Wallace Arts Centre, checking out their art, sculptures, and installations. Many of the things I didn't understand, but I liked wondering what the artist may have been thinking or feeling when s/he created their work. It sits within the Monte Cecilia Park, which has awesome walking trails, beautiful aged trees, and benches. Great for a picnic! There is a spectacular view all the way to One Tree Hill. The Pah Homestead is beautiful, with a good café. I ordered a carrot cake and coffee. Unfortunately it took quite long to come, and the coffee was cold when I had it. It's a great day for relaxing, and possibly expanding your mind

The Wallace Arts Centre is one of my exciting cultural destinations in Auckland. Located in the historic Pah Homestead in Monte Cecilia Park, Hillsborough, the diverse contemporary art exhibitions gave me inspiration and motivation to experience my own art style.

What a beautiful setting. I arrived to sample the recommended cheese scones and a latte, but first discovered the magnificent Park in which the beautiful Homestead sits. Ancient trees, manicured shrubs, pebbled walkways, sturdy park benches and the sounds and signs of Spring. Glorious. A jewel hidden amidst busy suburbia, yet so tranquil and removed. The final ascent led me up to the beautiful homestead where I enjoyed a lovely coffee and delicious buttered scone on the verandah. Thanks be to God, for such simple pleasures.

This stop was one of my favorites during my recent trip to Auckland! The Pah Homestead house is beautiful and the artwork was interesting and enjoyable. I had tea and date scones with one of the friends I was visiting. The servers were friendly and kind. The gardens around the house are full of wonderful sculptures! Every corner I turned brought a new view.

Beautiful grounds, amazing historic building, wide variety of contemporary art and all for free. To top it off, nice Cafe with good coffee. Nothing to complain about. Consider making a donation to the trust if you visit.

Beautiful heritage building overlooking the lush Mount Cecilia Park. Also pretty awesome that there’s no charge for entry unlike other heritage buildings. However the staff can make you feel like you shouldn’t have entered the museum in the first place cos you don’t belong to a more sophisticated group. Maybe put a sign on the piano if you don’t want people to touch it. Or be nicer when you tell people off.

Beautiful place to visit on the weekend with your friends and family. Have a look at the local art work and listen to an occasional concert on the weekend. Bring your dog along to a lovely cafe with the spacious outdoor seating area, grab a cup of coffee and listen to the birds singing in the trees.

Visited today. Was some interesting portraits up for viewing but wasn't really the type of art that I find interesting. Still was a nice place to wonder around and was nice and cool inside after having walked up the grass hill from Onehunga, so was very pleasant.

Beautiful building and park. A hidden gem. It should deserves more attention and care! Unfortunately the maintenance and cleaning are Kiwi style. 😕

The place itself is a huge vintage building where all the art is exhibited, showcasing unique pieces with stories behind them. It totally relies on donations so there is no entry fee. They hold competitions for the artwork they exhibit so voting for your favorite piece is encouraged. Once you are done viewing the art pieces inside, you can either grab a snack on the ground floor or visit the numerous stalls outside selling a wide range of stuff from clothing, jewelry, art and craft, and much more. It's a lovely place to spend time with family walking around its huge property. So strongly suggest a visit.

Lovely venue could be made much more of by showing larger variety of of local artists work. A large space not used. Lovely gardens with sculpture to view while having lunch on a sunny day.

Awesome public place to enjoy. Art gallery indoor + outdoor. A small cafe and a huge park to walk and enjoy giant native trees in. The path is gravel but in good condition, considering we have been having huge amounts of rain recently. The huge trees made for nice walking, though there is a couple of steep hills. Medium level of fitness required in the park.

A must see heritage locale to better understand the beauty of the New Zealand story. Onlooking ONE TREE HILL, overlooking Onehunga, Mangere Mountain and the Manukau hub. It's not hard to understand why historians speculate the Pah homestead to be the birthplace of the Treaty of Waitangi, as colonial and native truly prospered here symbiotically alike. Living history, preserved for the public, celebrating New Zealands world famous art culture with the Wallace Arts Centre, the vast site captures colonial life like a moment frozen in time, boasting its many features such as native Wetlands, international tree forest, and original horse drawn tracks.

We went to the Vintage Fair in the grounds and then had lunch at the cafe. While the food was enjoyable, the coffees were a little cold. Waited far too long and one meal came out at least 20 minutes after the rest of the order. Had to ask for the table to be cleaned and cleared(which was only wiped with a dry cloth). Maybe on a busy day like this they need more staff? Lovely setting and you have the option to have your lunch on a rug under the trees

My new favorite local doggy park . Perfect for that lazy walk + getting in some socializing for the family pooch is always a plus. If you have a lazy hour in you're day then it's hard to beat when it's a win/win for every body. Don't forget doggy bag's don't be THAT Dog owner please guys 😑... Lol,OH,and don't even get me started on the the magnificent art center kindly asking for gold coin donations upon entree. With a Café inside I see it as literally a perfect space for local creative minds to express and/display there imagination's brought to fruition for us locals to soak up and admire. Make it a hour and a half lol✌️💙.

Beautiful gallery. Took our 5 yo for a art club they host monthly. It was a lovely evening. They have a nice Cafe to try a cuppa.

Pah Homestead is a family friendly place, with lots of small room-sized galleries, and a very good cafe. The art there is really interesting, with emerging artists often supported.

Place is gorgeous and interesting but food left a lot to be desired. Stick with the cabinet food.
