Well.
I
went
to
an
acute
appointment
because
of
pain
a
couple
of
days
ago.
I've
got
fairly
severe
odontophobia,
and
stressed
this
whilst
talking
to
them.
When
I
arrived
they
assured
me
there
was
nothing
to
be
afraid
of,
which
quite
frankly
alarmed
me
more.
Took
an
x-ray,
thankfully
they
didn't
have
to
do
anything
and
they
were
fairly
understanding
regarding
my
fear.
Then
they
asked
what
medications
I
am,
and
when
I
told
them
about
my
antipsychotics
they
urged
me
to
quit,
as
they
were
unhealthy
and
I
was
so
young.
I
patiently
explained
why
I
have
to
take
them,
they
responded
that
I
should
go
to
the
dentist
so
I
would
"forget
to
take
them".
They
stopped
pressing
the
issue
after
a
while,
after
making
me
very
uncomfortable,
but
when
I
said
I
had
PTSD
as
an
explanation
to
why
I'm
afraid
of
dentists,
they
followed
up
with
advising
me
to
travel
to
poor
countries
to
"see
how
lucky
I
am".
They
also
got
very
upset
with
how
bad
the
state
of
my
teeth
were,
but
offered
no
solutions
or
communication
except
saying
I'll
be
toothless
in
15
years,
and
saying
my
teeth
shouldn't
be
so
bad
as
"I'm
from
Europe
and
not
from
Africa."
I
brought
it
up
with
them
at
my
follow
up
appointment,
the
receptionist
said
he
didn't
believe
me.
I
didn't
quite
visit
the
dentist
to
get
gaslighted
about
my
mental
illness,
and
I
think
pressing
someone
to
quit
their
medications
is
quite
dangerous
advice,
thus
the
one
star
review.
They
otherwise
seemed
technically
knowledgeable
and
professional,
but
I
am
quite
flabbergasted
about
their
views
on
mental
illnesses
and
their
behaviour.
I
hope
they
don't
say
that
to
anybody
else,
and
instead
exclusively
give
out
advice
regarding
dentistry
and
teeth
and
things
they
have
the
professional
experience
to
do.
