Great Jiaozi (dumplings or Maultasche) and homemade noodles. Always enjoy my visits there. They have varieties of beer, but I love their Jasmine tea. Friendly service, which is rare in Germany, so I really appreciate this.

I'm glad someone recommended us this place, because it doesn't stand out to much from the outside. It's a bit of an interesting mix between craft beers place and Chinese cuisine. But it works perfectly. Selection for both is great. I'm not a beer drinker, but I really liked sour beer, really easy to drink. Fried dumplings are excellent. Owner is pretty funny too. He refused to serve my wife radler, it's craft beer place after all. He did offer her one beer and lemonade, and suggested she can mix it herself, and said he won't stop her. Funny.

Great taste, great service. Like the street food bars in Vietnam, the got the taste right. The are also very nice at serving you, even if no reservation was in place. A lot of craft drinks and beers available on się. An honest 5 star in Dortmund.

We love the food at this restaurant! It is so tastyyyyy. You can tell it is made with love and care. After the first time we visited, I think we went back two times right away and will be there soon again. The service is really good because the place is ran by his owner, wife and daughter. So they care. 😊

I love this place! The owner is so nice and friendly, they offer amazing variety of craft beers and the dumplings are so tasty! Not much more than dumplings to choose from but if you like these little things you will be happy here.

Comfort - honest Asian inspired food with great selection of craft beers (IPAs etc) sourced from micro breweries. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful meal here at JIA! The noodles are handmade and tasted so fresh. The dumplings come in different varieties - steamed, pan fried, deep fried, in chilli oil; and with different meats too! Highly recommend having a meal here with friends, it makes for a lovely family style meal. The staff here are all so lovely and friendly as well!

New experience to tasting Asian food. A 'must try' if you live in Dortmund or even if you just want to visit Dortmund. The foods is delicious, the place is only a stone throw from the city center. We were served direct by the very friendly owner, just like we visit his home. Very recommended 👍👍

The best restaurant in its price range in Dortmund. In a city with 1 kebab stand per 10 residents, this restaurant shines as a beacon of culinary delight. As an added bonus, one of the few, only places here, that offer Braufactum bier. I will miss it!

We really like the place - we booked in advance, because it is a rather small local. The food and the service were really good, we are looking forward to come back again and try other options of dishes. Would really recommend this place to eat Baos and dumplings 👏 They also have a variety of craft beers.

I arrived at the restaurant completely drenched and wet since there was a heavy downpour. I was afraid i might be refused entry since i was quite muddy as well. Instead I was welcomed and explained the different food which was available. I tried some pork dumplings and had a spicy noodles later on. I washed it up with a couple of IPAs. They have a variety of craft beers tending towards the sour beers, IPAs and some mixed fruit beers. I was sitting at the counter so I also had a lovely experience speaking to the hosts of the restaurants and they were generous enough to show me how they were making dumplings from scratch. At the end, this turned out to be one of my most memorable meals in recent times. Would visit again, hungry for more dumplings!

Excellent noodles with nice spicy flavor. Also they have a great craft beer selection, better than most places in Germany!

Apart from the dumplings the rest of the dishes are average and the service leaves you with an unpleasant taste in your mouth. Price is reasonable but still won't go again.

Very nice little restaurant. The owners are very welcoming and she gave me good advice how to eat the food. It’s very tasty home cooking style Asian kitchen. The beer selection is amazing. I will definitely come back when we are again in Dortmund.

Tasty food, friendly personnel, familiar atmosphere. The only thing is the portions are more like a snack and for a full stomach you'd have spend around €50,- a person at least, which in my opinion is too much for some dumplings and soup. Also preparation took a very long time.

We used to love this restaurant because the food is sensational, but unfortunately we were really disappointed today after calling at 18h on Saturday to order food (only for 2 people!!) to pick up from our side and we were just told “it is not possible, we are too busy”. You guys didn’t even give us the possibility to pick up after 60’ or as long as you need. It is a pity. This takes our motivation away to come again. To your answer ---> Honestly, if the quality limits the possibility to make 2 more noodle and 10 dumplings, I think the issue is another one (I can´t imagine you would deny the sit to an extra 2 people who would join unexpectedly an existing table at the restaurant). Great place, nice atmosphere & great customer service. I recommend making a reservation beforehand because no matter the day it will most likely always be full, which is a testament to the amazing quality of the food. Nice, compact menu which isn't overran with hundreds of dishes is another sign of quality over quantity. Overall the only thing i would like to add to the menu are deserts. Will be here again.
