well
maintained
by
Symbiosis
Society.
Established
on
14th
April
1990
in
the
birth-
centenary
year
of
Dr.
Babasaheb
Ambedkar
has
become
a
pilgrimage
for
thousands
of
his
followers,
as
well
as
tourists
who
come
to
Pune
from
all
parts
of
the
world.
He
was
the
leader
of
depressed
classes
and
the
father
of
the
Indian
Constitution.
Symbiosis
Society's
Dr.
Babasaheb
Ambedkar
Museum
and
Memorial
houses
a
large
number
of
his
personal
belongings
including,
the
bed
on
which
he
breathed
his
last,
the
table
and
chair
which
he
used
while
writing
the
Constitution
of
India,
the
statue
of
Bhagwan
Buddha
before
which
he
bowed
every
day,
his
rare
photographs,
the
urn
containing
his
sacred
ashes,
the
coveted
Bharat
–
Ratna
award,
his
booksand
personal
items
of
daily
use
which
speak
of
this
great
scholar
and
make
his
presence
felt.
With
audio-visual
facility
some
of
the
important
events
from
the
life
of
Dr.
Babasaheb
Ambedkar
have
been
depicted
here.
New
touch
screen
facility
has
been
introduced
at
the
entrance
of
the
museum.
Visitor
management
facilities
such
as
Souvenir
Centre,
Luggage
Counter,
Ticket
Counter
and
a
new
building
for
Library,
Reading
Hall,
Art
Gallery
are
there.
