This biggest Japanese lawn is extraordinarily nicely-developed and prepared with bushes and flowering plant life. site visitors can see the garden panorama. visitors are not allowed to walk on the lawn. The lawn may be very stunning and easy and has a herbal glide of water from the canal which keeps the water of ponds easy. Waterfall, ponds, artificial hillocks, and the woodland will become a massive appeal of Okayama lawn. while taking pictures and selfies on the bridges you may see exclusive varieties of vivid purple, orange-colored fishes Entry ticket fee is rs. 5 for all above 3 yr old. There are 3 distinct parks inside big compound. 2 of them have rs. 5 entry fee while kids play area is free to enter. Timing: 6-11 am, 4-8 pm. Tickets not issued before 30 min of closing. Parking: They charge parking fee 10, buts seems illegal as either they don't give receipt or on receipt there is no mention of parking fee. No special playground to play outdoor sports.Has restrooms. No picnic area, outside food not allowed. If you found this review helpful please mark helpful :-)

One of the beautiful place to visit in Pune city. It has an entry fee of ₹5 per person, there is ample space for parking 2 wheeler and 4 wheelers, they charge ₹10/₹20 for parking. Sitting on grass is not allowed. Outside eatable items also not allowed. There are small snacks stalls outside the garden. All the rules and regulations have been there in order to maintain the cleanliness of garden, so please respect it. Nice place to chill with family on Weekends, also there are fountains and bridges and various photogenic places and plants and trees, so request you to keep your mobile phones charged as they will be required for clicking nice photos. Thank me later 😬

The cost for the ticket is only ₹5 and parking for two wheeler was ₹10. The garden is very big and very beautiful. It is very well managed by the management. The restrooms and drinking water is before the ticket counter. It was a great experience. 26 January 2024

Visited the garden after a gap of 4-5 years. The garden is clean and it has vast expanse. Border is marked by tall trees and has water bodies and channels to cool down the heat and settle dust. Entire park is wheel chair friendly except pagoda. All boards are in marathi script only no Japanese or english or hindi boards seen. There are benches and gazebos available as resting places. Huge 4 & 2 wheeler paid parking area with wheel chairs accessibility and public toilet available with full accessibility.

Parks and Gardens are a great place for all ages - childhood to adulthood, even the retired life. This is one place perfect for all age groups. It is huge. Beautifully constructed and great variety of plants, trees and flowers grown. This makes the atmosphere serene. It's s treat to our eyes. In a city like Pune which is quite a cement factory, a place like this is a pleasure to the eyes. Has a cute man-made stream flowing with a few shells. It has two fountains which is a pleasant sight. A small hill and bridges built on the stream make it fun for kids to run around. Beautiful scenic locations to click pictures and build wonderful memories. It is open in the mornings and evenings. Evening is the best time to visit. Best for few hour picnics. Located in a crowded location and off a busy road.

Visited this place on a Sunday in the evening around 5 pm. Be prepared for a long queue if you are planning to visit during this time. The place was heavily crowded, yet you can find some corners in the garden which is less crowded. Although it is mentioned not to walk on lawns, you will find plenty of people walking on the lawn. There are lady cops who keep patrolling and asking visitors to step out of the lawns. Overall a good place to spend some time. The entry fee is just Rs 5. You will find a lot of zones to take good pictures. I think if you are coming to Pune and have some time to kill, then you should surely visit this place.

Nice park Musical Fountain Nice place for Hangout open gym 3d Theater Excellent Garden with added Sound-Light show This garden has unique lifelike animal statues like zebra, giraffe, crocodile, lion around and also has a playing area for children with swings etc.To add to this there is a light and sound show organised 2 or 3 times in evenings starting at 7.10 pm lasting for 15 mins in which songs are played on water fountains. Also there is a Hall inside which has aninteresting "Bhoolbhulaiya" on 2nd floor which is a surprise entertainer for all, finding way inside the maze.Morever once you come out of the garden there are various vendors selling popcorns, corns, and chaats. Just 10mins away there is one more Garden" Seven wonders Garden" from this place.

A damn beautiful garden full of greenary and colorful flowers and trees. A well maintained garden at a very peaceful location of the city. It was so mesmerizing and amazing experience and literally an unexpected beauty of this mother nature. Each and everything was so perfect and the sound of water flowing and birds chirping around adds additional perks to its beauty. Loved this place a lot.

The garden doesn't have flowering plants. Tree shades are very less. You can't relax on the lawns. No dustbins anywhere in the park. Only benches are available. No back benches for relaxed sitting. The maintaining authorities should look into planting flowing plants to enhance the beauty of the garden sand attract more crowd. The entry fee collected Rs. 5/ per head can be utilized to do the above and also provide back resting benches for relaxed seating. The size of the garden being small the suggested improvements can be easily implemented. There is additional income is already through vehicle parking also.

Garden is well maintained. We visited it on weekend and that too on Sunday. So it was very crowded. There is 5rs entry fee for the garden. Garden is beautifully maintained. The trees are so perfectly shaped which makes garden view spectacular from the top. Fountains are there but the water was not that clean. Perfect weekend gateway for the kids. But nobody is allowed to walk or sit in the grass.

The garden is a frequently visited for morning walks by citizens staying around Sinhgad road. With spacious walkways for morning walks it has ample seating space for short halts. It was recently beautified by the corporation. Although there is a nominal charge 10/- for entry, it has been well maintained in terms of cleanliness and also has provision of washrooms, which makes it a pleasant place to spent leisure time. Also, senior citizens gather in the morning for laughter club activities and charges the environment here positively .

The garden is really about the expectations. The theme is clearly Japanese. The entry fees is only Rs 5/- per person, quite reasonable!! The garden is really very well maintained as compared to other municipality administered gardens. But we as Indians do not give a darn about the good things and facilities made for us. I found litter at few places. There is provision of separate gents and ladies washroom, and a big enough car and bike parking for which there is absolutely no additional charge. Do visit here.

Lovely place to spend your Spring or Summer evening. Spread across huge area, the garden is well decorated with beautiful lake. You can see beautiful fishes in the lake. Lush green lawns can be eye soothing. Play area is there for your kids. With fountain sprinkling water and cool breeze, it can be very soothing experience. Some part of the garden is still under development though, but that doesn't hampers your experience at all...

One of the most beautiful gardens in India I will say. So peaceful and beautiful to look at. Garden is very big. Whole structure is well designed. There is a small hill also which gives a fantastic view of this garden. Best part is the place made where you can sit and put your feet in flowing water.

A very well managed park, probably the cleanest and no-nonsense parks I have visited within India. The park is well guarded, nicely maintained and not an ounce of dirt to be seen. There is greenery everywhere and the landscaping is just perfect. There's a stream of water that has been created and which at places opens to a pool of water. There was ample fishes in the waters and it's an interesting view for kids. Anyone who is visiting Pune casually, can have this place on their itinerary to visit

The garden is amazing. This is a garden inspired by a Japanese garden named Okayama garden. It has naturally flowing water which has been spread throughout the garden using small canals. The garden is very beautiful, but sitting on the lawns is not allowed. It generally remains a bit crowdy on weekends. It is a good place for couples. Many couples as well as family persons come here. The scenery is very beautiful, and the ticket price is also very less. Many colorful fish can be seen from a small bridge.

Must visit place. Very clean and beautiful. Just expecting more to view more. They should have plant more beautiful flowers plants and more landmarks for taking pictures. Very limited benches to sit and relax. Sitting on grass is prohibited and still crowd won't listen and avaoid to follow guidelines. Parking space is huge mess, they should properly manage spaces. Entrance is crowded due to multiple snacks carts and it's makes car drivers to enter and exits vehicles quite difficult. While entry fee is 5 rupee per person for above 3 years old. And 2 wheeler parking fees is 10 rupees till garden close.

An amazing garden in Pune. 5 ₹entry fees, the garden is well maintained. In summer time you will find less water flowing in the canals. Water saving in the summer, which is good 👌. Walking/sitting on the grass is not allowed, this helps to maintain the greenery. There is also a kids play area outside to the entry gate, near parking. Eating is not allowed in the garden premise. Worth visit. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A lush green and serene garden just adjacent to a very busy road. A perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city grind. Very well maintained. The Japanese touch is very clearly visible. The green landscape provides a soothing vista to the tired eyes. One at once feels peace on entering this beautiful place. Tickets at just Rs. 5 do not pinch our pockets. All in all a really cool place to hang out.

A nice garden for hang around and relax. However, it's generally crowded so forget about peace and tranquility and to be close to nature. But nevertheless a good place go and you can spend 20-30 minutes. Come with your kids who can play around. Ticket cost is very minimal.

The serenity of a landscape and the simple but deliberate structure of the garden is what truly make it unique. The extensive use of wood, stone and water devised in such a way that people can take a walk through a garden enjoying the landscape, which changes along the garden paths. A raised fortress gives you a bird’s eye view of the entire garden. The wide lawns, lamps in carved rocks, artificial waterfalls and hills, a pond and oval shrubs, trees, grass, ferns and bamboos paint hues of green all over to revitalise your senses and rejuvenate your spirits.

Really very beautiful , n well designed well maintained garden. Garden concept is Japanese garden. A long stream occupied whole garden n you have to follow it sometime cross it, small bridges provided at many places you can sit enjoy stream of water you can deep you legs. At one point they have made shades n sitting arrangement along stream so that people can sit n enjoy stream of water. There is a small hill they have made at to enjoy top view of garden. But they strictly not allow people to go on lawns you must have to follow pathway only. Food is not allowed inside. Highlighted thing is entery fees is just ₹5 of such beutiful garden very much affordable. Besides this there is Mughal gardern ( step garden along with fountains ). This garden also very beautiful n pretty. I think every area should have such public place so that people can enjoy good ambience of nature. I request all people to respect their policy to maintain cleanliness n beauty of place.

Me and my kid, both liked the park. I particularly liked the park layout and quality of animal statues. They are well maintained and kept at good locations. My kid enjoyed his time out in the park. Quality of slides can be improved further. Iron slides always posses a risk especially when iron rusts/cuts. Gym equipments are well maintained. I did not visit the art gallery inside, so can't comment.

Good to visit !! 1. Ambience : It’s all lush green with a lot of space to sit and relax. There are manmade fountains & ponds. The ponds needs to be cleaned‼️ 2. Food : There is no food available inside. 3. Price : The entry fee above 3yrs old is Rs.5/- . You can find a long queue for tickets but it’s fast moving so you will be inside in 5mins. 4. Parking : Parking is free inside the Park.

One of the cleanest and lish green gardens that i have ever come across. It is rare to find such a beautiful and well maintained landscape in the Middle of the city. The garden is based on a Japanese theme and it's a worth visiting. There is a rainbow fountain which creates a natural rainbow when it is cloudy and sunny. The garden is highly secure with security personnel at every point to ensure that no one is littering. Entry fee is fixed at 5 rs. Which is nothing to what they are offering you. Highly recommended! Worth a visit

This place has zen like calmness, full of greenery and beauty. There are many small bridges over water strips that gives a Japanese garden like experience. Lovely waterfall in one of the corner and a fountain in the center with tiny colorful fish. Interestingly, there is a shed on the slope from where you get amazing view. Seating arrangement is there in every lane of the garden. Things to note : Food option is available at the main entrance like chaat snacks and it is not allowed inside the garden. Another rule is to not walk on the grasses carpet edge or step inside the water strips. You will hear a whistle blow loud enough :) Being a nature fan I loved the place.

Very good environment, fresh air, good water springs, trees are good, very clean. You have your space no one disturb you if take care of garden and there rules. But people don't follow rules, disappointing thing. Have lot of space in garden as well for parking 4 wheeler and 2 wheeler parking is different. Must visit once and if are near the area you can visit whenever you want just need to pay 5₹ per person for one time entry. And you cannot allow to carry food in garden. Hope you will enjoy your time ☺️. Thank you.

This is the best garden I've ever been to. This one is really really very well maintained. The beauty of this garden is at another level. Just 5rs of each phase, i.e., 10rs for two of its phases. The trees are cut in accurate shapes, the river is active, kids play area is present, ample of space for parking is available, cleanliness maintained and it is truly very scenic and a good option for photography lovers too (no DSLR cameras allowed). No eatables allowed inside, no walking and sitting on the grass. My experience was amazing!!!

It has a good amount of secured parking space. It is very close to the main road yet there is not a single noise of the vehicle inside the garden. They have well maintained the garden. You can just sit there and hear the birds chirping and experience nature at its best. Their entry ticket person is 5 Rs. They have pretty strict rules: they don't allow you to enter the water and lawn. They have a little space where you could put your legs in the water. The Watchmen are constantly on rounds. The lake has a fountain and some pretty fishes and turtles as well. The place is really great for walking/jogging and for small kids to play in the evening.

As the name suggests it's basically a garden where they have done so many interesting things inspired by Japanese culture. Plantations, fountain, little little bridges and much more. There is even a shrine like structure built at the highest spot in the garden from where you can look around in almost 360⁰ zone. It's one of the prettiest spot to hang out with your family or partner in the evening.

It is a really nice place to spend some quality time with loved ones. I have visited this place for the very first time. It is really eye catching and i am sure You'll not regret it. I wanted to spend some more time, but due to the limited time I had to go. However, i did enjoy and i also saw rainbow and it was really epic. I'll go there again soon. The timings are morning 6 to 10 and in evening 4 to 8. You need to pay 5 ₹for each.

Nice place well decorated and peaceful. The entry ticket is 5 rupees. Didn't see any koi fish, though. It's neat and clean place. But a major problem of pune is its connectivity, and this place is also not well connected from all sides of pune.

Lovely green oasis As the city of Pune is growing, it is starting to lose much of the green cover it was blessed with and which attracted many to make the city their home. The city is increasingly resembling a concrete jungle, with few green spaces. One of those that remain a beacon is the Pu La Deshpande garden on Sinhagad road, named after a famous Marathi playwright. The garden is a expansive one, built in collaboration with the Japanese city of Okayama. One will see many Japanese elements from water bodies to wooden bridges and the koi fish here. The place offers parking for vehicles and has a very small entrance fee. Popular with families and couples alike, one can relax here, click nice photos and forget the hustle and bustle of the busy road outside. It's a place that one should visit, if looking to spend some quiet, quality time with one's loved ones.

Nicely maintained garden. Beautiful fountain with in a pond. Big koi fish are swimming over there. Low parking space. Garden workers not allowing people to entered on grass or lawn area. So people can seat only benches provided in garden. But mostly benches are occupied by couples only. So children and old age people have no option to seat. More things can ne made in garden to get close with nature like some lotus or water lily plantation in pond. Plantation of some other spices of trees and flower plants.

Also known as ‘Pu La Deshpande Udyan’ after the famous Marathi writer Late. Mr Purushottam Laxman Deshpande - this garden is inspired by the 300 year old Korakuen Garden at Okayama, Japan. Spread across 10 acres, the garden reflects the Indo-Japanese friendship that brings the Japanese garden traditions and aesthetics here in India. Well maintained greenery with numerous trees 🌳, flowers 🌺, bushes, ponds, water streams, fountains ⛲️, pergolas, benches, and a well laid track to walk on. The periphery of the garden is walled by tall trees. The bushes have been crafted into different shapes by the gardeners in a magnificent way. At places dense bamboos shoot upwards at great heights. Near the pond the water is sprinkled in the air by the fountain that gives a soothing breeze. Chirping of different birds combined with the serene green environment in the garden gives you mental peace. Very nominal ticket of ₹.5/- per person charged for this priceless environment that awaits you beyond the entry gate. Come with family & friends to this place filled with zen energy all around.

One of the best park in Pune. I have never seen such a clean and well maintained park. To visit the park you have to spend just Rs.5 as entrance fees. Parking is free for both 2 and 4 wheelers. No food stall inside the garden. Overall good place to spend your weekends with family and friends.

One of the most beautiful gardens in Pune! Visited here for the first time and it’s ambience and the natural beauty just took my breath away! One thing I didn’t like that no one is allowed to walk on the grass/lawn and still it is not properly mowed and not maintained in some parts of the garden. The security people here are always busy in their smartphones. Overall, recommended place for all age groups and ticket is required to enter the place with a nominal amount of ₹5.

Weekend visit to this beautiful PuLa Garden with kid's. Easy to travel on bike, it's close to my home. Have been couple of times to the place. Evening is my favourite time to visit and love to see the sun set from the top. The garden is well managed by the staff and they are available inside the garden to instruct us and also to warn to people who don't follow the rules. Specious parking lot for two wheelers and four wheelers. Minimal and affordable ticket price for elder's and kid's. Helpful staff and good service. Loved it.

I visited here on Friendship Day, so there was a large crowd, and I wasn't able to fully enjoy. I recommend going on weekdays and non-special days for a more peaceful experience. This park is beautiful and spacious, requiring ample time to explore leisurely. Additionally, extending the park's opening hours would enhance the experience.

It's made like Japanese Gardens. It's very beautiful and a perfectly proportioned garden. If you want peace and very calm place, this is the best place you can visit. There is small fountain in middle of garden and a small hill like structure where you can climb with the help of stairs. Photoholic? You can click very good photos here. Entry ticket price is just ₹5, and is worth visiting.

The garden’s plan is a work of art, carefully created to reflect the feel of conventional Japanese nurseries. Each component, from the fastidiously raked rock ways to the rich vegetation and peaceful water highlights, mirrors a profound appreciation for nature's magnificence! Best place to visit for couples ! Best time to visit 5 PM to 7 PM !

This garden is awesome and well maintained. Ticket cost is so affordable, only 5Rs. They have good parking space , nice playground for kids which is in free of cost. After purchasing ticket friendship garden start which is so beautiful with flora and fauna. Small ponds with fountains are there , small bridges are there on small ponds. Nice place for photography. All in all must visit place. 1hr is enough to explore this garden.

Very nice.. silent and ambient place here in Pune. Situated right inside the chaotic metro city Pune.. This place doesn't let the outside disturbance hinder inside the park. Literally its morning 7am... you sitting on a bench in this park and meditating with zero disturbance around and soft gaze of bird chirps... water stream and a central fountain. Ahh what a lovely morning it was. I will recommend you to must visit this place in morning 6 to 8am. This place literally feels like heavenly.
