We had the most incredible time at Sanctuary Cap Cana. We stayed in a Junior Suite in the Castle. It was perfectly clean and had plenty of space. Started our mornings out on the balcony overlooking the bright blue ocean! Juan was our AMAZING butler. He was there for us whenever we needed him! He sent us an activities list every morning, booked our dinner reservations, gave us rides around the property and was overall a breath of fresh air on our vacation. The food at the main restaurant for breakfast and lunch was delicious! We loved the sushi spot in Sanctuary Town. Wasn't a huge fan of the food at the Italian restaurant but the vibe was perfectly romantic. The daily entertainment at the pool, activities, and nighttime dancing at the PM Pub kept us entertained. The staff is incredibly welcoming and kind. We never waited long for a cold cocktail or a had to search for a place to sit by the pool. This was the best vacation we've taken. We will definitely be back!

There are so many great things to say about this resort and location! It was my second trip to the DR and Sanctuary exceeded all of mine and my husband’s expectations. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The room service was excellent. Our room was made spotless daily. The food was very good at all locations. The Sanctuary Town is so neat! The pools were all very nice and clean. The entertainment was amazing! I could go on and on about how wonderful our experience was for our honeymoon. We did the romantic couples dinner for 2 and it was perfect. Highly recommend this place! Special thank you to Jeffrey, Randy and Oscar for making sure our experience was excellent.

I just got back from a trip to Sanctuary with 5 other ladies. We were treated so horrendously by the Concierge staff and other members at the front desk we were left utterly confused. Sarah, a woman at the concierge was SO unpleasant and rude -- I was completely dumbfounded by her tone and attitude. She gave us a look of disgust for asking for help with dinner reservations. This is 5 star service? The spa front desk staff is also an utter mess. I always go to Excellence Resorts and made the terrible mistake of booking a stay at Sanctuary. I would NEVER in a million years return. On my second night I got violently ill from food poisoning after eating at the Blue Marlin restaurant. I spent 5+ hours vomiting and needing to be in close proximity to a bathroom. After bringing this to the attention of the staff, it was brushed off. I have been back in the US for two days now and I am still feeling unwell. If you want to be treated poorly, then this is the place for you. I cannot believe I spent my limited vacation days and money here. You do not get what you pay for. Our "luxury" villa was falling apart. Leak in the hallway that they tried to fix twice and was still coming down the day we checked out. We had to mop the floors with towels to make sure we didn't accidentally slip on the leak. The jacuzzi on our private deck was unusable because the switch/outlet to turn it on was busted open and exposed to water. These are just SOME of the terrible things we experienced. I submitted a formal complaint two days ago and have not heard a peep from this disgusting resort. Please go somewhere else, especially if you are celebrating a special occasion.

Pros: The castle honeymoon suite was beautiful! We loved the private pool feature, it was a great break from the public pools when we needed it. The resort provided an amazing getaway where you didn't need to make any prior plans, you could go and just enjoy the amenities. The spa (although overpriced) was such a treat - I literally fell asleep during the massage. Our butler, Angel was wonderful. He was available anytime we needed anything. Cons: The majority of the drinks are so sugary and frozen. We wanted regular margaritas but could only get them frozen and more times than not they were over blended and melted. We got really tired of the breakfast buffet after about the third day, there are no other breakfast options other than room service. Most of the restaurants don't open until around 6 PM so lunch was also very limited. Most unfortunate was our last night most of the restaurants were closed except (of course) the buffet, so we ended up just doing room service since wok and the marlin was closed. For the couples' massage and a basic facial (which while amazing), our bill was upwards of $800. Very limited on souvenirs and shops to visit (including Sanctuary Town) - I lost my sunglasses on the very first day and went to find another pair and they were all $100+, the same ones that would be $15 at TJMaxx. ------------ Overall we would visit Sanctuary Cap Cana again. I know our review makes it look like there are more cons than pros, but I think it all depends on what you are looking for in your trip! It was quiet and relaxing and for 2 honeymooners it was what we needed to unwind after all the wedding stress.

Very nice resort. Great staff and delicious food. The castle has a great look. The private villas are cool. Check out Juanillo public beach for a great beach to swim in, Emerald green waters, you can walk from the resort. The beach in the resort is one thing that was lacking, only 100 ft long and murkier. Even has a good gym. Having a butler was nice, we ordered Dominican coffee through room service every morning.

We got back from our trip at the end of September this year. My Husband and I have traveled extensively and have stayed in many different Resorts. I will start with the great things about this Resort. The grounds were beautiful, the pools are amazing. We stayed in the Castle and I loved having the pool right outside our room, most of the time we were the only other people in the pool, loved that! The service from the people at the front desk to the bartenders was excellent. The bed and linens were wonderful as well. Now for the not so great things. The room was nice and large with a separate siting area but the furniture not so great looked cheap and worn out, I think it’s time to change out the furniture does not match the outside of the hotel. The food was hit and miss. The steak house was good and so was Japanese restaurant. Breakfast buffet was good as well. The other restaurants were just ok nothing to write home about. The beach is ugly tons of sea weed and since they excavated the beach when they built the Resort the beach is not clear at all. So if you are beach people this is not the Resort for you. One other thing if you rent a car be super careful on the freeway the police is just waiting to give out speeding tickets so make sure to keep under 80 because they are posted every 20 miles apart on the freeway.Unfortunately I will not be traveling back to the DR.

My husband and I spent 6 days, 5 nights here in July 2023. It was a fantastic experience. Rooms were spotless, the pools (4 total) are crystal clear and the restaurants were all delicious. I never expected the buffet to be such high quality. Service was unrivaled, and staff were eager to assist with anything we wanted. We even got a rose petal dinner one night! Very unexpected but amazing. Our favorite waiter was Jose F at Casa Bella. We saw him several times and he was very personable and fast. Would love to come back here sometime.

We had a wonderful stay for an extended Memorial Day week. Weather was amazing. Our butler Alexander did a wonderful job. Happy Boy at the pool got us great seats poolside. The mojitos were refreshing and sweet. We would definitely consider coming back here!!!

This place is awful. This hotel is the opposite of a luxury hotel. My hotel door doesn’t lock. Half of the light bulbs are missing from my hotel suite, the other half of the lights don’t turn on. My jacuzzi on the balcony doesn’t even have a drain plug. The balcony doesn’t have any light bulbs in the light fixtures. No ironing board to iron my shirt to go to the “fancy restaurants” on site where they require men to wear shoes. Don’t come here. Don’t listen to the google reviews saying it’s a 4.7 star hotel. Maybe it was before the hurricane but Fiona took away it all. The staff has no idea how to cook or take care of guests needs. Your better off at a motel 6 or sleeping in your car.

What a beautiful location, the pools, the staff, the service, the presentation of the meals and the friendliness at the shows was outstanding! Tipping staff at the bars helps but we tipped everywhere we could. I loved the spa & we were gifted a couples massage. We enjoyed the full benefits of the spa. Cooling baths & sauna rooms! The had day time activities like volleyball on a sand court water polo type games. Trivia & other musical performances. Night time they have shows in different locations around the resort. Pool area they had music by the steak house & Italian restaurant. They had aerial acrobatics in the place called Sanctuary town. Which serves food to those in the area and almost every place was inclusive, this spot has a food & drinks area that opened for dinner only 6:30 pm and most of the places were inclusive except this amazing tapas restaurant! So you can grab burgers pizza ice cream & even sushi. Remember it's Island time so the meals are a bit slow go. I had to remember this because I am an island time guy except when it comes to my food.

Where to begin? From the moment we arrived, the staff is so welcoming and friendly. My husband and I came for our honeymoon. We stayed a week in the Beachfront junior suite. We felt like royalty the entire duration of the trip. The beach is beautiful. The pools are exceptional; Never crowded. The food is outstanding but the service is what is truly top tier. We also did an excursion to Scape park. It was wonderful. Perfect for thrill-seekers, or those who want enjoy beautiful scenery. It was unlike any theme park we’ve ever been to. The entire trip was just over the top and we enjoyed every second of it. We will definitely be back.

This is a beautiful property! The entertainment staff, especially Caroline and Jeffery were engaging and enthusiastic. We enjoyed the daily competitions and volleyball games. The steakhouse and sanctuary town were excellent. Maria at breakfast was incredibly kind and after 2 days she would start preparing our drinks as soon as she saw us because she remembered our order. The resort is very clean and staff is friendly. We loved this location for our honeymoon.

Hotel Staff is really friendly nice hotels really clean everybody makes sure that you're well taken care of. If you're looking for a really great time make sure that you reach out to Gasolina, happy boy, Fernando, they are great people that make sure to take care of all needs when by the pool. They all worked well together as a team. It was my wife and I 8 year wedding anniversary. They did great to make sure we were taking care of. One thing I really appreciated was that none of the staff expected a tip and that they received one they were very grateful this only made me want to tip more! Great job sanctuary. I would go back, we had a great time.

I had high expectations going into this trip since the reviews of the hotel are stellar. However, I would definitely not rate this a five star resort. Starting from check in, our room was not ready and the process was extremely lengthy. The room is OK, but with inconsistent turn down service. It is also quite dated. The gym is very disappointing. It is dingy and dated and the service is poor despite an attendant sitting there the entire time on her phone. She also was the one who taught the yoga class by the ocean and was probably one of the worst instructors that I have ever had. She did not speak! The food is mediocre. The paths lack beautiful landscaping that I usually love admiring when at a resort. The beach is small and rocky. The main pool is loud and definitely not serene. The pool at the castle is definitely more peaceful. You can order drinks and room service to the pool since there is no restaurant there. Overall, this is closer to a 3.5 star resort at best and I will not be returning. I’m not sure why the reviews are all so amazing. It makes me wonder if the review system is somehow rigged. I recommend looking elsewhere. Finest in Punta Cana was much better.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and I cannot recommend it enough! From the moment we got there we felt pampered. We stayed in the premium luxury ocean-view junior suite and loved it. The view, the space we had and the wonderful room service. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you are enjoying yourself. Happy Boy and Wilken by the pool were AMAZING. They were so attentive! We did a beach cabana day and Rubi honestly made it so nice for us. Her drinks were the best! Honestly, the entire staff was so wonderful. Highly recommend doing a spa day as well - it was SO nice. We loved this resort and hope to be back soon!

We just had a magical weekend at Sanctuary Cap Cana in the DR. It was a destination wedding, and of course a big financial and time commitment to pull off. It was worth every penny and then some. It was only 15-20 minutes from the airport, and then pure bliss for 5 straight days. The staff at Sanctuary makes you feel so special from the moment you arrive, and their large variety of rooms and suites gives everyone an opportunity to indulge as much or as little as they want. Amenities and activities were plentiful. Food options were robust and diverse. The layout of the resort was spacious, but accessible, and the overall energy of Sanctuary was well balanced. You could have both a quiet and intimate afternoon at a private pool, or live it up with your friends at the Swim up bar, playing beach volleyball and having a blast. HIGHLY recommend for a solo trip, couples retreat, or destination wedding.

Having stayed at many resorts, this one has the best staff hands down. The beach is not great for swimming but the pools are close by. The food was better than expected from a resort, and being smaller in size, there's little to no wait. I do wish that at the price they would stock the rooms with more choices beside just beer. Will definitely return.

My girlfriends and I stayed at Sanctuary Cap Cana recently and had a fantastic time. Our rooms were very spacious and well appointed and unlike most hotels I found the bed to be very comfortable. The food was tasty at every restaurant - our favorites were the Blue Marlin and Cappriccio. The welcome drink was so delicious we ordered it throughout our stay as well. We weren't that impressed with the beach so we spent most of our time enjoying the pools, the spa and some of the many activities provided. But above all the staff were incredible...helpful, courteous, friendly and clearly hard working. They accommodated our group of 11 and were always eager to please. By the end we had a lot of favorites (and I know I'm forgetting some names!): Carmen, Elizabeth, Happy Boy who saved the best poolside seats for our group, Fransisco, Alix, and of course Mr. Sam who was a delight everywhere we encountered him around the resort. Definitely would recommend.

My husband and I just went here for our honeymoon last week. We had the most incredible time. We have the junior suite swimout in the Castle. Highly recommend these rooms. It was big spacious and the most incredible view/large shared pool with only a few other rooms. The service was incredible. Specifically want to mention Alexander (Butler at the castle), Gilbert (Bartender at the main pool) and Felix (Pool attendant). The service was absolutely amazing. I truly can't say I've ever had better service. The food was really great. We got to try a lot of new things and there were so many options for dining. We loved the sanctuary town (specifically the pizza). Wish I could have some right now. The entertainment was amazing, go to the shows you won't regret it. Drinks were amazing. We had such a great time celebrating the start of our marriage. Completely recommend!

Magical. We felt absolutely pampered, the food was perfect and easily the best we’ve had traveling the world. With celiacs, the waiters and servers were so helpful and checked everything for me. The resort was immaculate. By the end of our week, we were known by name and the staff recognized our preferences and anticipated our needs. We will definitely be coming back.

My husband and I decided to go to cap cana for our mini moon after our wedding. We had the most amazing time and service was impeccable. We stayed in the Castle side of the resort and our room was oceanfront with an indoor pool. We absolutely loved it. It also came with its own butler, who was exceptional and helping us with all of our needs throughout the trip, including making reservations and events around the island. I would highly recommend anyone to visit either for a short getaway or romantic anniversary trip. You will not be disappointed!

My 2 daughters and I recently enjoyed our stay at Sanctuary. The service was over the top. Every staff member made sure to "surprise and delight" us with exceptional service. They not only were attentive to our request but they "anticipated and delivered" many times. One great example is that my hat blew off and into the ocean as I stood on the deck of the Blue Marlin restaurant. Immediately my waiter had someone swim out and retrieve my hat! I was totally blown away by this act of kindness. It is very evident the staff enjoy working at this resort. They are happy and they were all about ensuring our happiness. I would like to personally thank all of the staff especially: Felix Jose, Samuel, Julio Caesar, Carmen, Kayla, Maria Eugenia, Sam-aerobics/dance, Ricardo and I believe his name was Carl (he rescued my hat)! I know I have left someone out but thank you to everyone!

When you walk in and out of main building employees do not acknowledge you. Music starts blaring at 7AM at pool. Fire alarm went off 9 times, 4 while we were sleeping. Couldn’t always get a hot shower. Spa treatment was subpar. Gratuity was double what I asked spa receptionist to give estheticians. That got corrected. Gym is good, but needs cleaning. Rooms are clean and spacious. Thermostat works well. Rooms have ledge you have to step over when you enter or you hit your toe or trip. Dumb design. Many pools to sit at in addition to beach. Pool service is good and kept clean. Drinks have next to no alcohol. Food is ample, tasty and available at all hours. Also, numerous restaurants with many different cuisines.

I went to Sanctuary with my boyfriend and his family for vacation. We stayed in the pink building. The rooms were nice and large. His parents had a butler, Miguel, who helped us so much! Everything from dinner reservations, cleaning our clothes and shoes after ATV, reserving us seats by the pool. Everything! All the staff were so so nice. Highly recommend if you want to go somewhere that you are waited on at all times. Jose was really nice too and would always check on us by the pool and bring us towels. He was really fun to talk to too. Always had a smile on his face and was such a delight.

Overall rating is 4 out of 5. Camacho our butler was AMAZING. Alex the photographer was GREAT. Food was 3.5 out of 5. Service was EXCELLENT. Room was 5 out of 5. Romantic dinner on the beach 5 out of 5. Gluten free options 2 out 5 Pools were great places to relax. Sanctuary Cap Cana is not a party spot and I appreciated that. They helped to make husband's birthday amazing. We are grateful and would return if given the option.

I enjoyed the Sanctuary, it is a very nice property and everything is well maintained and aesthetically pleasing. It's pretty low key which I liked as well, the people that come here seem like reasonable and responsible people. The staff work hard and long hours. Coca Cola (Andelson) is great at organizing the activities and having fun but not in an over the top way. My big beef with this place is the food which is the only reason I give it 4 stars. It's just not good enough. I will leave more detail on Trip Advisor. But overall a good place, needs to improve on food.

Amazing customer service, super nice staff. The website says restaurants are open every day and they’re not. Blue marlin was only open for lunch one day of the 5 I was there and never for dinner, the buffet was never opened for dinner, the food in general at the resort was bland no flavor honestly. Definitely didn’t taste like traditional dr plates. Bars are great my favorite was the one in the pool and everything was super clean here. All around I give the resort an 8/10!!

First time here and it did not disappoint on any level. The amenities, food, drink, and accommodations were all top-notch. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Shout out to Oscar (my new DR friend) for such wonderful service each time we had the opportunity to have him as our server at The Steakhouse or each morning for breakfast. Another shout out to Gerolfi at the main pool. We never had to ask for anything, he was so attentive from the pool chairs and towels to answering any question we might have. Everyone there was wonderful and they always had a smile on their faces. We will definitely be back. Karen R

Where do I start? This resort is majestic! From the time I arrived until my very last day I was greeted with nothing but smiles from every staff member I encountered. Jose went above and beyond to make sure I had the perfect room for my birthday trip. Concierge arranged airport transport to and from the resort. The room was the best part! Great beachfront suite. Clean and spacious! The rooms were cleaned twice a day. Food options were vast and drinks were great! The resort is unlike any place I have ever stayed! I felt safe and enjoyed every moment! Looking forward to my next visit! Thank you so much Sanctuary Cap Cana!

This place was beautiful but the employees are what really made the difference! Carmen was perfect at the bar - very attentive, every order was perfect, and so sweet! Luis, Heriberto, and ESPECIALLY Pedro made each day fun making us laugh and sparking competition. Omar was a standout at the Steakhouse with impeccable service and a fantastic personality. And Elvis was unbelievable both nights at the Italian restaurant! He took extra care for dietary restrictions in our group, and was just the kindest most engaged server! He anticipated everything we could possibly need and took such good care of us! The grounds, restaurants, rooms, pools- everything was fantastic! We missed our flight and ended up being a day late, and the team at Sanctuary Cap Cana did everything they could to help! 10/10!! We will be back!

We had such a great stay at Sanctuary Cap Cana Punta Cana. The food was amazing and there were lots of options. The customer service was exemplary. Oscar was an amazing waiter whom displayed magnificent customer service, was attentive, had a positive attitude and was extremely friendly. We truly enjoyed his customer service. Ventura was an amazing waiter whom made our dinner experiences memorable and special. He had an incredible personality and positive attitude. Felix was another excellent waiter who was extremely helpful, kind and displayed immaculate customer service. He was so professional and knowledgeable. All of these individuals made our stay at Sanctuary a five star experience. The customer service is amazing and I would highly recommend this resort!

Went to Sanctuary to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. We stayed in the castle 1 bedroom and it was amazing! Very spacious with a private plunge pool and a direct view of the ocean. I cannot tell you how much research and review-reading I did before booking this trip. I am SO glad we chose this resort. It is SO charming, beautiful, and peaceful. The vibe was great -- it's relaxing and calm, but there are opportunities to socialize and have a little fun if you want to. Nothing overboard. We were worried about the food given that its an all inclusive and we were really pleasantly surprised. It was all delicious. I can't reiterate enough how charming the place is. It's really beautifully-designed. It's very unique. Everything is beautiful. Their beach & pools are all spectacular. But above all, the service was EXCEPTIONAL. Everyone makes you feel like royalty. They are so attentive, kind, and helpful. We had a fantastic time and would return. I absolutely recommend coming here.

Just checked into the Castle Imperial Suite, it is absolutely beautiful! Comes with a private terrace & pool overlooking the sea. Enjoyed the Spa service, and the Italian restaurant is a must. Big thanks to Carlos our personal butler and the team for all of the assistance and taking good care of us :)

This is hands down, the best Adults Only All-Inclusive resort we've ever stayed in. The grounds were pristine, the service incomparable to any other resort we have ever stayed at, and the lack of screaming children was pure paradise. Everyone from our butler (Juan) and the entertainment team (shout out to Mr. Spicy and Pinkie!), to the wait staff and even the janitorial team- everyone remembered our names (even when we were wearing masks!) and were incredibly welcoming and happy to help with anything we needed to have a great time. We will ABSOLUTELY be back.

We just spent our honeymoon at Sanctuary Cap Cana and it was amazing! The staff made our stay super special. We had a gorgeous and relaxing villa near the beach. It was very spacious and decorated nicely. The villa was in a quiet spot with absolutely no noise issues. The patio of the villa had a gorgeous view of the beach. The staff was amazing and super friendly. Lots of day and night activities. Highly recommend the gorgeous spa and the Better Together Couples Package! The resort is super clean and well maintained. Would highly recommend to others and can’t wait to return! Thank you Sanctuary Cap Cana! #paradisefound!

Everything about the experience was 5 star, actually 6! We did a honeymoon suite with a private pool in The Castle area and it was stunning perfection. We had butler service as part of our package and Emilio was incredible. He was attentive, kind and took great care of our needs. We scheduled a private beach dinner, but at the last minute the hotel had to change. At first I was very disappointed in the last minute change, but they more than made up by making our private dinner even more memorable by setting us up at the Blue Marlin in the private dining villa. The food, staff and night were impeccable. Overall the staff was friendly, accommodating and helpful, The room was absolutely fantastic and the food was great. We loved Sanctuary Town and the buffet and had a great experience at The Steakhouse. We already booked a return trip to Sanctuary and look forward to coming back for years to come.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Sanctuary in Cap Cana. The grounds were immaculate and the customer service was top notch from beginning to end. The front desk helped coordinate transportation to and from the airport and were super communicative. My favorite part was the Italian restaurant they have on site. The food was delicious and the service was incredible. I want to recognize our server Felix who went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our meal and the time we spent there. He truly is one of a kind. FYI **you do need to make reservations for this restaurant** We ate here twice during our 4 night stay. Highly recommend trying the pasta and the octopus. Will definitely be back here! Thank you for a wonderful time.

The ocean view castle room was perfect. You definitely feel like you’re getting more than your money’s worth here! The staff is friendly and are good at getting everyone involved in activities. Surprised at how well they memorized everyone’s names! The room service took a while to get to the room, but was good food. Loved all of the different dining options. So many different pool options. Drinks are made well & they come by to refill often! Our group of 13 loved this resort!

EVERY DETAIL OF THIS PLACE IS OUTSTANDING! We went for our honeymoon and I’m so happy we chose Sanctuary. The views, the pools, the staff ALL INCREDIBLE. The food was some of the best meals I’ve had and plated so well. If your looking for a romantic adults only vacation spot this is it.

Incredibly beautiful resort! We stayed here for five days, and it was such a wonderful experience. The staff are so attentive! The grounds are well-kept, and the pools were beautiful. Buffet was okay, but the restaurants were outstanding. The steakhouse, the Asian restaurant, and the Italian restaurant required reservations, but it was all worthwhile. I highly recommend staying at the castle or the villas with butler service. They were a plus. :)

Spent the week after Jan 22, 2022 here. Gorgeous property. Rooms were amazing. Food was solid, and the upscale Italian was the best imo. Pools are great. Drinks are great. Nightlife was fun (although I wish it would have went slightly longer than 1030pm). Staff was as good as you can ask for.

My girlfriend and I had an extremely pleasant stay. The hospitality is what really got us and will have us come back in the future. Juan, Yery, Felix, Manuel all deserve the highest praise possible. They treat people with a special level of service that really made us feel like we had known them for years. Always going above and beyond it’s those guys that make a place like this special. The room was beautiful but I will agree with comments below that the smell was a little “moldy” but didn’t bother us too much. The resort itself is beautiful and very comfortable. All the food was great and the drinks from the bars were fantastic. The beach was of course a little filled with sea weed but once you cross through it, it becomes clear of seaweed and is enjoyable. They work all day to clear the sand of seaweed too so give the guys a break. Only downside to the place is that the cigars especially the Cuban cigars are indeed not authentic cubans so I would suggest going with something that is not needed to be faked plus they are taxed a little. Other than that it was a 10/10 stay and I can’t wait to go back & enjoy mama Juana shots with my girlfriend.

We spent 9 days at this resort for our honeymoon and it was what we needed after a stressful season. The rooms were all beautiful, we had 3 different layouts but the honeymoon suite was our favorite because it had a private pool-this was nice for the days we didn’t want to be surrounded by people or louder music. The main pool was festive but louder. They had games and music playing. The food was great. We loved the steak house and ate there multiple times. The drinks were endless and made well. The staff were all really friendly as well - especially our butler. The wifi was fast enough for me to take a few video calls. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away, rest, and not worry about having to find places to eat or visit.

We stayed at this resort for a week for our honeymoon. It was INCREDIBLE. The staff is so genuine, kind, and fun. There are plenty of pools, we never felt crowded. Our room was clean and updated. The food was great, the Italian restaurant was our favorite. The resort is beautiful and totally worth it. It was the most relaxing vacation we have ever been on. I truly cannot say enough about how sweet and attentive the staff is. 10/10 would recommend!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and really enjoyed our time! We found this resort from our travel agent. The suite was very nice and the food and pools were great! We also did an excursion day at Scape Park which was also very cool! The only negative we had was we went to the Wok pan Asian restaurant and they didn’t clarify that the reservations were the only way to access the sushi menu so we had to order from the smaller menu. The food was still good but I was looking forward to a full sushi menu. We plan to come back to the resort in the future!

The Sanctuary Cap Cana is one of my favorite properties in Punta Cana. They give spectacular service, a lot of activities if you choose to participate. Great pools, good food options. The beach area is beautiful, but if you like swimming in the ocean they get a lot of sea weed, which they have set up a barrier for. I love the secluded feel, all the rocks & stone work. We stayed in the Castle section, and loved the Ocean Reef rooftop pool. We had a couples massage and both of us enjoyed our masseuse and the hydration therapy time before. Adults only was a plus.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We just got home 2 days ago. The service was incredible. We did not have to worry about a thing. Frank made all of our reservations for restaurants and the spa upon arrival, ensured we had a ride to and from, and frequently checked in with us. The entertainment team was so much fun. The food exceeded our expectations (my husband and I are foodies from Philadelphia and we were so happy with our meals). Our Monarch Villa was in the perfect location facing the main pool area. I could go on and on about our wonderful experience. We want to bring our friends with us next time!

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and I couldn’t have been happier with our decision. Everything was amazing. The beaches, to restaurants, bars. We had our private own salt water pool next to our room. A lot of places were vegetarian friendly and they really accommodated for our food allergies. Our butlers name was J.T. He really helped make our vacation that much more enjoyable. He made our reservations and brought us anything we needed. I also highly recommend going to the spa. It was the perfect way to end our trip. My ONLY complaint was they mentioned fire alarm testing, but they went off pretty constantly. Woke me up one morning. Not sure why need to go off 30 times a day but we weren’t in the room too much. And make sure you bring change, tip all your people and they’ll go pretty above and beyond for you. Thanks for an amazing experience!

Good things first: lovely grounds, good rooms, very good and varied food. Lots of activities (didn't participate in but observed). Lots of pools. Service on the grounds is wonderful, but the front desk is a whole different matter -- the check-in took forever, I felt like we were applying for an asylum. And after all that careful preparation we were sent into rooms that were already occupied. The check-out also took unnecessarily long. The really big disappointment was the beach. First, it was 50 meters/yards long, very charitably. The water was super murky, the sea floor covered with sharp shells or pebbles (one really wished needs water shoes), and the (tiny) swim area is bordered by an ugly huge blue tubing -- so even if swimming in the ocean isn't your thing, you can't even take a good photo. Conclusion: if your main interest is staying by a pool and enjoying food & drink, it's a lovely place. If you have designs on ocean swimming, look elsewhere.

Take me back! My wife and I recently took our first vacation since the pandemic to this beautiful resort. Sanctuary Cap Cana is luxury personified and not only met but exceeded all our expectations. Our butler, Eric was very helpful and took great care of us, anything we asked; making reservations, late check out, and even got us a room upgrade for our last night… just incredible! The resort was at 90% capacity during our stay (mid-April) and it wasn’t crowded at all. We’ve been to several destinations in the Caribbean and this resort was BY FAR the best food we’ve had in any resort. There’s a steakhouse, Italian restaurant, Japanese/Asian, Seafood restaurant, buffet breakfast and lunch restaurant. There’s also the Sanctuary Town (within the resort) that has additional restaurants including Stone baked pizza, a burger restaurant, ice cream shoppe, and sushi bar. The sushi could have been better, but everything else was great! If you get too much sun and want to hibernate in your room… there’s 24-hour room service, too. Room was amazing and well air-conditioned. We stayed in the Castle part of the resort. I cannot recommend Sanctuary Cap Cana enough. The next time you’re in Dominican Republic… this resort is a MUST!!!

This place was beautiful and extremely relaxing. The resort was beautiful, the room was extremely comfortable and upgraded, and the service at every place I went was fantastic. The nightlife was entertaining and the events coordinators were FANTASTIC- specifically Jean Luis, Oscar, and Luis. They made sure that we had such a good time and they were SO MUCH FUN! The trip wouldn’t have been as fun without them. The pool service is exceptional- Felix, Wilkin, and Happy Boy made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. This place was fantastic and I will definitely be returning. Make sure you bring small bills for tipping!

We had a great time staying at Sanctuary Cap Cana. It was a beautiful resort with great food options and amazing drinks. We had great service from Oscar Meyer at breakfast, Oscar the entertainer and Felix at the pool who always set up our pool chairs nicely :) Highly recommend. Side note - my boyfriend proposed to me here and he thought everything went smoothly on his end regarding the set up with a beach dinner and photographer!
