Be very careful with your money at this restaurant. The staff does not understand English at all, the bill did not agree with the menu even after adding taxes, charges etc. We were very disappointed by this and spoiled the whole experience. Otherwise, the food was tasty and the service was smiling, they helped each other with translators. It was funny.

The only food re really enjoyed were the empanadas, most of the rest of the food we ordered were cold or they didn’t currently have. The pasta was not edible. The staff was very dismissive all but one he was helpful. It took two hours to be seated they kept on telling us the table was almost ready. Flys everywhere, we even made a game of the lizards eating before us.

My husband and I went there today for the first time, and the moment we walked in we knew we made the right choice. The place is very authentic: from the interior to food. I ordered grilled octopus with veggies, and my husband had the chicken mofongo. Everything was delicious! But I especially want to highlight the service. Nowadays it's hard to find a place where they would show knowledge of hospitality and customer service. And the staff in La Casita de Yeya know their job. Our waiter Emilio was very friendly and accommodating, with a great attitude. I hope the owners will read my review and praise Emilio. Sometimes you come back to a place not just for quality food, but for people like him. Thank you!

This restaurant is a natural and folkloric gem on the village area, in the heart of Punta Cana you can take a break of your stressfull days, find an oasis after a long air trip, or simply have a romantic date, and enjoy a magical Caribbean culinary experience. La casita de Yeya restaurant uses the freshest seafood and meats on an individual scale, mixing it with a delicious blend of butter, garlic, parsley, and secret seasonings pastas; just imagine the best seafood sauce to smother your fish, crab or lobster plates with a variety of succulents complements from fresh shrimp in the skillet, to lobster tails on top of all their multiple complements modalities. This beautiful traditional folkloric restaurant has a dominican feeling that take your mind straight to the countryside, with a very cute designs on the walls, and a very colorful ceiling. The large seafood and meat platters among the other appetizers plates could be easily combined, however plates portions are individualized, not enough to share among 2 or more. All plates cames in a 5 out 5 stars excellent presentation. You can combine fish, meats, mussels, crabs, crawfish, shrimp, combined with a variety of pastas, and delicious salads, especially with the crabs and shrimps plates. In just few words, the food is amazing..on my experience with seafood, sometimes with all the seasoning the flavor of crabmeat is lost, not so at this caribbean restaurant, where you can enjoy the true meats and seafood flavors. Great service, very kind waitress with relaxed atmosphere, including the bar area where you would enjoy the most cool and finest beers, also great variety of wines. If you just came out of the Punta Cana Airport, or you are in the Dominican Republic eastern area, or just passing by through the Village area, you should try this unforgettable restaurant, definitely very HIGH RECOMMENDED...you won’t regret it!

La Casita de Yeya. Es a Restaurant that made original Dominican Food, is good to find a local good food around punta cana. Very close to the airport near Terminal A, Food was delicious, service was very friendly and professional. My server was Biqueilis excellent job. Didn’t enjoy the food as I thought, somebody from the Restaurant administration was talking with some of the server with a very very strong delivery. I heard everything and it bothers me when employees are treating like that.

A good cheaper Dominican option, amongst a sea of expensive Italian and Americana options outside the Punta Cana resorts. My favorite was the stewed goat (be aware it has a lot of bones and cartilage, but I love that). The mofongo was okay.

We had their stuffed chicken and soup, both of which were better than expected. Maybe a bit too salty but still enjoyable.

I went to this place April 2022 food was good, came back September 2022 disaster. The goat was hard and more bones than meat, my friend steak 🥩 taste so terrible she had to send it back and the replacement chicken breast was salty. The beer was good. Won’t come back. Too bad, the place is cute.

I had read reviews about this restaurant. Hotel insisted I should go. Service was fair at best. The food (I had a typical rice and shrimp dish), not bad, but wife is better. The dessert a disaster; flan (packaged) was not fresh. Sorry folks it is what it is

The decor was great and I loved the traditional domininican interior. The food was not that all great. There was no AC inside and they literally had to bring a fan next to our table.

Yum!! This Dominican food it great. Awesome flavors and menu has tons of choices. We shared the nachos for an appetizer - super tasty! My husband got the empanadas and enjoyed them. The beans and rice was delicious. I'd recommend ordering the Dominican ground beef over seafood. We heard the soup is good too, but didn't personally try. Service is wonderful. We'll be back.

Had an opportunity to dine here and it was such a pleasant experience. Loved the decor and ambiance. Very comforting. We ordered cheese empanadas, the mini goat baskets, steak mofongo and garlic shrimp. Everything was flavored nicely. I appreciated that the fruit punch I ordered was actually fresh juice. Whenever we come back to the area, we'll be sure to return.

Service is slow, but that’s normal for the Dominican Republic. But I have a few suggestions: 1) Serve water. Please. 2) Bring drinks out before food. 3) Pay attention to your guests. The food is really good. The service is questionable.

The Sheraton hotel employee sent us here for authentic DR food and it definitely was great!! The owner "husband", was so helpful and easy to talk with.

I wish a little bit more basic English skills from employees. The food is great and I guess that's more important.

Recommended by our driver, this is a great place to sample authentic Dominican food at a high level. Lots of Dominican people eating there as well, do that should tell you something. Standout dishes were empanadas, sancocho, and shrimp asopao. We ate there 2 nights in a row! Plus, we really enjoyed walking around Punta Cana Village, with lots of restaurants and shops. Definitely recommend.

Had a great meal at this restaurant in a nice shopping area. Chicken empanadas were larger than usual, deliciously seasoned, flaky and flavorful. The sancocho is absolute top tier. The staff is friendly and attentive. The wait was a little long, but definitely worth it. If you want to venture away from the resorts, go here for some good eats.

Authentic Dominican food cooked to order! It tasted like total comfort food! The portions are good and the price is right, I have eaten 2X now and I had a situation with one person in my party...long story short she didn't like the Chicken Croquettes. They didn't taste like chicken, yes I concur, however they were $3!!! So the waitress put it on my bill, along with her bubbly water...not Kool. Not sure if I will eat there again. You must be able to understand Spanish and communicate a little.

Love La Casita de Yeya inside the "Village" in Punta Cana. Cool atmosphere, and great food. It's the second time I've come here on separate occasions, and can't get enough of the fry fish with Tostones. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Great service! Definitely recommend the stuff chicken with rice and beans. I ordered the shrimp scampi which was typical, the empanada crust was amazing. Didn’t care much for the pollo filling but it was still good.

The best nachos I've ever had! Service is excellent, great location to Punta Cana airport, and directly across the street from the Four Points Sheraton hotel! In the village at Punta Cana!

Delicious sauce on the fish, though a little tough to pick out the bones. Plantains were scrumptious and a nice refreshing salad. $$½, would go again

Food was tasty and service was pretty decent. We wanted to try something different and more unique to the DR. This place has a good variety on the menu. We had the octopus and the conch.

Food was fine, but service was spotty. We waited more than five minutes upon arrival for someone to come out of the kitchen to take our order. Also, double check your to go order before you leave. We ordered multiple items for dinner and didn’t get our mofongo (the main item we were lookin forward to) but didn’t realize it until we returned to our hotel. When we went back the next day the manager would not issue a refund but did allow us to return another day to dine in. Food was tasty but not worth all of the effort.

Terrible service !! The Staff are not experienced at all in customer service! Young Rude inexperienced staff The waitress looked upset brought out the wrong order & after we brought to her attention she responded in Spanish “ “Oh Well that’s what they gave me ! But the order was placed with her ? The food took 50 minutes to come out !We are talking Rice,Beans & fried Plantains ! The Supermarket Jumbo in downtown Punta Cana had Better tasting quality food the food ! Never Ever Again will I Visit These Restaurants !!! Terrible Food!Terrible Staff! The Dominican heavy set waitress was also offering inappropriate services!

The customer service, as is a pattern throughout Punta Cana, was mediocre at best. We didn't receive proper instructions as how the dishes would be served, the entreé we ordered was never served, only to be remembered as the main course was being served. The main course took too long to be served. But at least the food was ok, and also with good cost-benefit

Taxi driver and others kept recommending the blue mall but thankfully we stuck to our guns and stopped by this lovely row of shops and restaurants before some shopping. Ryan our server made some excellent recommendations, girlfriend was very happy with the soup, goat baskets and MY lobster 😂 Very pleasant surroundings, fresh food, beautiful juices, reasonable prices and very smiley, polite staff.

Loved this place its located right in the center of Punta Cana Village. Its a quaint & cozy style of business setup with outdoor dinning. The service is spot on and the food was amazing & cooked to perfection. Found that the portions are small. So if you are a heavy eater definitely order an appetizer and desert. Plan to go back on my next vacation for sure.
