I stayed here for 5 days and it was not a very good experience. The rooms are amazing! However, the staff is very rude to certain types of people. I’m just going to say this if you are Caucasian or a lighter shade you will receive top notch service. (I’ve witnessed this each day I’ve stayed.) if you are a darker complexion you will get horrible service. It’s almost like you’re bothering them. I had to asked 3 different people to get something as simple as an umbrella for the poolside, nobody wanted to assist with getting me an umbrella. However when other certain types of people asked, the staff was moved more urgently. I went to the coffee shop in the lobby twice & they messed my simple order up twice and didn’t wanna fix it. It was a simple latte. It was almost like they purposely did this. Spending thousands to stay here & getting this types of treatment isn’t what I expected. I actually plan on returning to the DR but I will definitely NOT be returning to the Hyatt Ziva hotel.

Very nice place and great service! The staff goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Pools are nice and the resort grounds are immaculate. The only bad side which makes it lose a star for me is the seaweed situation. I saw other reviews on different sites about the seaweed and thought people were being picky, but it truly makes the beach undesirable. In addition to feeling really gross to step on, there is a dead fish kind of smell that comes off of it constantly. The pile was about a foot high at the shore, and went out into the water about 100 feet. To Ziva’s credit, they had a tractor out there all day every day filling up hundreds of truckloads of seaweed and hauling them off, but it was a fight against nature since the next day the pile would be replenished. The security guard told me it’s very seasonal, so whether you’ll experience the same is a bit of a coin toss. The food was ok and the drinks were strong. Despite the beach situation they truly did everything possible to make it a fun trip …but when we look for a beach resort in the future, we’ll probably look for a cleaner beach.

We had a great vacation and enjoyed our stay. Pedro was amazing with the kids activities. My kids had so much fun and kept asking to find Pedro. He was so nice and kept our kids entertained from the shows at night to volleyball on the beach. Our butler Oscar was great. He was always helpful and left us special treats in our room everyday. It was a wonderful time and our kids especially enjoyed the trip.

This resort was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend getting Club level to have access to all restaurants, bars and perks. Plus you get your own butler. We had Eli and he understood how to make a 5 star resort feel like a 5 star resort. Absolutist phenomenal service from him. All the staff was so kind and we also especially over Bryan on the entertainment staff. He made my daughter feel so special all week! Would absolutely book this resort again.

If you are planning a trip to Punta Cana or Cap Cana, do not think twice. This is the place you must chose. This is not a paid review! My family and I just returned from Cap Cana and we absolutely loved the resort. We have been to other Punta Cana resorts, but never to one with this level of service. The customer service alone was exceptional. The food and drinks were amazing. If you can get the Club level, even better. 100% recommended.

The service is lacking and inconsistent. You get a better quality of service and select/focus service hotel in the States. While there is plenty of staff and they are all nice, level of effort is poor, something is off here. Be prepared to be pushy and loud if you want staff to pay attention to you. Avoid any and all premium options (Club Level and Cabanas). Club alcohol is only extended to you in Club Lounge and Pool, even though at every meal they ask for your room number, logistically they could extend at all meals, guess that would be too much effort. Cabana is a waste, got 2 days and we had to request to have it setup each afternoon when we arrived. Nothing was ready to go. Our cabana also had a broken shade preventing it from blocking the intense sun during the afternoon (yep the most used shade is the first one to break). In regards to broken stuff. On Monday night we got stuck in the elevator, the intercom system didn’t work, no one responded to the buzzer/help bell, after 15 minutes of no assistance I had to pry the door last open with my hands to free my sister and another couple. The butler does not provide a consistent level of service, I know other people with our same butler who are getting daily snacks delivered without request, I see other butlers meeting and greeting members at Club pool and cabanas. Ours is nowhere to be found.

The Hyatt Ziva Cap Canna is a beautiful very well appointed resort. There are tons of comfortable open air seating areas perfect for relaxing at any point during the day. Beautiful pools and white sandy beach. Great service. Very clean very well maintained. Kids had hours of fun at the water park. Jose worked hard to make sure we were happy with excursions. From chess to ping pong and corn hole we found plenty to keep us busy during the day. We found the buffet restaurant Mercado to serve the best food with literally something for everyone. The coffee shop has great frappes, grab and go sandwiches, donuts, ice pops etc that were a big hit day after day. Very relaxing resort.

This was absolutely amazing ! I could not say enough great things ! The hotel is very cleaning and accommodating. The property is absolutely beautiful! Very kid friendly as well. The staff was fantastic and could not seem to do enough for you ! Everyone was so great with my toddler giving High fives and fist bumps which they all got such a kick out of. Our butler Manuel was stupendous! My husband planned a surprise dinner on the beach for us as well as a facial and massage and Manuel in secret made all this happen so beautifully we could not be more thankful! We had tiny issue with housekeeping which we made him aware of and he went above and beyond to make sure it was resolved! He and my husband had a lot in common talked a lot of sports during our stay! I truly could not say enough great things about him ! Look forward to returning and having the pleasure of working with him again !

I had the most incredible experience at Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic! The hotel is simply amazing, from its stunning rooms and beautiful beach to the numerous pools and quiet atmosphere. The variety of food options was a delight, and the quality of the food exceeded my expectations. The exceptional service provided made me feel pampered throughout my stay. With so many drink choices and a range of amenities, I couldn't have asked for a better vacation spot. This truly is a top-notch destination that I can't wait to visit again!

I absolutely adored this resort!!! 10/10 on surroundings, atmosphere, staff, and food! The water park and kids club were perfect for my 6 darling children. Great bars and food service all over the resort. The beaches are the best I have ever seen! The staff was amazing especially with my kids Johnny and Linda!!! Mayra was so fun with all the children getting them involved in the excitement! Would recommend!!!

We had an amazing time at Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana. The breathtaking resort has everything you’ll ever need to enjoy a relaxing vacation. The staff is super friendly and very attentive to your needs. Our personal assistant Joan was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay at this resort the best experience possible. Thank you to Joan, Billy, our favorite bartender Deborah, and all the amazing staff at this resort. We really appreciate it and had an awesome time!

We just wrapped up the most amazing family vacation at the Hyatt Ziva. We were truly shocked at how beautiful and extremely well maintained this resort was. Every aspect from the design, art, food, cleanliness, beach front, staff, activities, evening entertainment, and transportation - literally everything was meticulous and exceeded our expectations. (It was comparable to previous stays at other 5 star resorts if that helps). Whether we were on the beach, leaving our hotel room, or walking to dinner - Wherever we were, a staff member was checking in on us to ensure we had whatever we needed and we were satisfied with our stay. We felt safe from a Covid perspective and overall safety of our children. Nearly all restaurants and activities had an outdoor component which was really nice as well. Honestly it was one of the best vacations we have had, and we will be recommending staying at the Hyatt Ziva to all of our friends and family. We will surely be back for another amazing trip!

Gorgeous hotel minutes from the airport with beautiful rooms and amenities. This all inclusive hotel provides the best vacation for couple and families. The hotel has an adult only area with a family area as well ensuring that couples and families can both enjoy. Their are mutiple, large pools with pool side bars for guests to bathe in for hours. Many restaurants and bars to chill at as well as a water park to provide fun for hours. The pools are beautiful, clean and fun. Rooms are modern and pretty with a beach front smell and feel. Food is amazing with accommodating chefs and waiters to ensure all of your needs are attended to. As an avid trainer I can attest that the gym is the most workout are in the eastern hemisphere. Better than any Equinox or high-end gym, this gym has more then six different rooms to accommodate weight lifting, boxing, running, cycling, yoga, calisthenics and more! Finally, the staff is the kindest, and happiest group of people. They are always looking to help and care for guests and take pride in the service they offer. If you are looking to vacation anywhere in the Caribbean then you must go to DR and stay at the Hyatt Ziva!

The hotel is beautiful what made it outstanding was the service. We stayed on the family side which was Ziva, my mother was unable to walk long distance to and from the buffet. But George that work at the buffet made everything possible. He went above and beyond even out of his scope to make things convenient for my mother and myself.

Not sure where to start in reviewing this Resort. If I could give more stars I would. I’ve never visited a place where the customer experience is the number 1 priority by the entire staff. You are greeted with a welcome drink while you sit to be checked in. No going to front desk to check in. Rooms are spotless, spacious and very comfortable. The spa was an experience like no other. Food variety was endless. They offered meals at pool and beach as well as restaurant dining. They accommodated food allergies Entertainment was family friendly and changed each day. For those wanting to work off endless drinks and food, the workout gym was fabulous. I’ve Never seen a gym that well designed. Pools spotless. I could go on and on but if you are considering an all inclusive….this should be on your list. Another impressive note, the General Manager was seen often walking the property. I’ve included pictures of some of the amazing staff but all staff were awesome.

Amazing staff ( Luis in the market restaurant. Catalino in the hibachi, the entertainment ezequiel so many people to thank) they made my vacation exceptional. The food is delicious!!!! Nothing to complaint about. The beach was a little disappointing because of the seaweed ( but that is nature). I will definitely be back and I 100 x recommend this resort. ❤️

Easy and safe. We never traveled to the DR. It was a welcoming and we felt right away it was worth the money. Service was good and place was super clean and new. The pools were hard to beat and plenty of room and chairs. The beach was perfect and the water was nice and pretty although the clarity was not what we hoped. The drinks were great and never hard to get and the food was good. Like any all inclusive, if you don’t like what you ordered or picked up from the buffet, get something else. The kids camp was perfect for us. We used the camp for adult time. The water park was top notch and never too full. Overall it was a great spot. It never felt too packed and always had something to do. Pros were location, cleanliness and new. Cons were water clarity and food. The DR is not known for its cuisine imo!

We just came back from this heaven place. We had lots of fun during the vacation. Everyone was so nice and welcoming through out our stay. Great service , well trained staffs towards it. We had gone to celebrate our daughters 16th birthday and trust me it was all worth celebrating here. Every time staff will be asking if we need anything. Their coffee shop was just perfect through out the day and evening. My son enjoyed their donuts and ice cream. Over all this is our one of the best vacation. Room service is very quick. No waiting time or reservation needed for any restaurant. Everything was so clean. Washrooms were big nice and so so clean even near pool area. They must be cleaning every half an hour. Thank you Hyatt for making our trip so smooth and memorable.

All the hotel rooms face the ocean so avoid the ocean view upsell. Food was hit or miss. The pool didn’t feel clean and communication amongst staff for activities needs improvement. We showed up for 9 AM beach yoga and were told to wait a few minutes for the instructor to come. Turns out the class was moved inside to the gym and we missed half of it. The AC was also not working in the room during one of the gym classes I took.

Our stay started out so great, when the place was empty. The service was outstanding, the food superb! But then a group over 500 people flocked in in ONE day and the whole place slipped. Servers were stressed and impatient, food took forever to arrive, there was barely any space on loungers at the pool. But BEFORE that happened, we had a great time. The pool temperature is amazing and they have hot tubs. The beach has seaweed but it’s not terrible. The drinks were always delicious. Servers are constantly circling around asking if we need anything I love that they are SUPER food allergy aware. They always ask if we have food allergies and then walk around the buffet with me telling me what I could and couldn’t eat. The managers George and Enrique at the buffer even made special meals based on my food restrictions. I felt so taken care of. The spa is fantastic. The salt cave and the body temperature pool was outstanding. Was a bit rushed to be honest. I could spend 30 minutes just inside that pool. Our helper Andry was so sweet and took care of us! Everything was top notch! The kids were bored of the water park quickly with only 4 slides, but we hung out there anyway. Kids club was good too, even though the kids only went there 2 times total. We stayed in the club level room with the extra bedroom. The cleaning service was outstanding. We had an app for concierge which was great, they took care of everything. Even brought us chocolate covered strawberries into our room as a surprise and little chocolates every night. The best we’ve ever stayed in. If it wasn’t for that giant 500 people party, it would probably continue to be that way, but we made the best of it Overall, very happy with our stay!

AMAZING - would definitely go back. Outstanding service from arrival to your last day. The staff is incredible, location is fantastic, they have great activities for kids, food is delicious with lots of choices. They are very attentive and caring for those with food allergies, which made the eating experience much more enjoyable for our family. Highly recommended!

We stayed on the Ziva side. Amazing hotel, its very private and exclusive. Great for the laid back crowd, or laid back family. This is not a party resort, so if that's what you're looking for, then this isn't your kind of place. Also great for families, lots of activities for younger kids and teens. Water park is a part of the hotel. Maybe 100 yards from the lobby and front desk check in area. If you're looking for great food (like really great food), great pools, awesome friendly staff and relaxation. This is your place!

We were traveling with a group of 13 people. We all had swim up rooms and from the start of our reservation we requested to be next to one another. Our request was not honored. One of our rooms had no air conditioning. It was never fixed, nor did they move our room to one with air conditioning. A mushroom grew in the shower it was so warm and humid! We had club level accommodations, but no one explained what amenities this allowed. It is a beautiful resort! The adult side makes good cocktails. The weather is very hot and humid. The water is warm and clear. The beach is short, so walking it is only a few minutes. The gym is 10/10, by far the most inspiring gym I've ever been to! The restaurants are great! Coffee shop is fantastic! Bars are fun! The Michael Jackson show was exciting! Belly dancers were fun.

Definitely a place everyone should try. I would come back for sure. They have lots to do for families with children and for those traveling without children. They have an adults only side and then a side for families with children. The “all inclusive” approach makes everything simple. The restaurants are fantastic and the spa is top of the line. I highly recommend this resort.

The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The restaurants are a must visit and the food is amazing. the staff is very friendly and welcoming. If going with kids the water park is the best.

Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana was a terrific resort. We went with kids and the staff, drinks, resort, pool, beach, and room service were all spectacular. The resort both inside and out are impeccably clean. Our butler, Raquel Camacho, went way above and beyond for us. She was fantastic. Richard who helped us book a private boat excursion was great as well. Would highly recommend this resort. We booked through Costco Travel, and this was cheaper (after factoring in the Costco gift cards you get) than booking directly through the hotel.

Too good! We spent a week with family and friends. The water park is the best attraction I’ve ever been in a resort. It also has a wide variety of restaurants to choose. The sea is not so good due to algae, but still you can swim and have fun sailing safely.

To start off, the only thing I did not like in this resort was that the housekeeper did not clean the room well and did not stock my bathroom or clean it during my stay. I had to ask her each day for conditioner when it should have just been left in the bathroom. Apart from that, the staff throughout the resort are very attentive and kind. The food is okay. My favorite part of the resort is the aesthetic it gives. You can literally take a picture anywhere and it will look great. My daughter loved the water park. Carlos the bartender at the club level pool was amazing- don’t forget to order the, “Carlos Special.” Santo was our butler and he was very nice and accommodating.

Amazing resort. This was my first all inclusive and it was a great experience, food was great everywhere we dined, bar locations were plentiful. There were always pool spots/chairs. Water park had fun slides and lazy river. Never had any issue getting beach chairs or umbrellas. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Would book again.

Just returned from a 4 night stay in their grand master suite. We had a wonderful experience. Rooms are modern, clean, spacious. Resort grounds are pristine, well kept. Staff were friendly, but not in a fake or forceful way. My only 2 complaints would be for more food options during lunch time, and also seaweed was hit miss depending on the day.

We were a family party of 16 and everything was so perfect. As a group we got extra any time we needed. The manager of restaurants helped us by ensuring we could all sit together at any restaurant we chose. We had Club ocean view suites, they were cleaned regularly and gave us access to the club lounge which was a tremendous asset. All the staff were super friendly and always anxious to help. I can't say enough about this place, our holiday was amazing.

Although Ziva is kids friendly, half of the restaurants are not, like the French one. So same one for the 7 days breakfast and repeated 3 for dinners. Not worth the money.

Fantastic hotel and service at the Hyatt Ziva. Awesome food too. The buffet restaurant, with its made to order steak and seafood area, was delicious and above my expectations. Breakfast at Shutters was fantastic (need club access). Property is new, clean and very well kept. Air conditioning in the rooms are very modern and quiet. Great wifi throughout the property including by the pool area. I suggest getting a room with oceanfront view (higher end). If you stay in one of those rooms you get club access included automatically. Also you get access to all the restaurants and club access at the Hyatt Zilara side too. PCR test is done on site at the hotel property in their convention centre. Very nice spa facilities too. Pool area is great. The water park is fun for adults too. Lazy river is a nice touch. Lots of fun activities like yoga, clay pot making, bracelet making, and aquatics exercise classes. Also there was lots of good mosquito control on the property. I didn't not get any mosquito bites despite eating outdoors. It does seem to that mosquito control is done very well here. Way better than the Westin at Punta Cana. Everything is well run and well thought out. The best part about the service is the ability to talk to the concierge and ask questions on the WhatsApp app. This was the best. Our Butler Mr. Santos was friendly and wonderful. I also lost my wallet once (dropped out of my pocket) but they immediately found it and called me and it was quickly recovered. Really great service. Club access is highly recommended. Get a room with oceanfront view and it would be included. Downsides: beach doesn't have a lot of deep sand, water is not as great as some of the other Caribbean islands I've been to, lots of seaweed. Also there aren't as many umbrellas in the pool area as expected. The music blasted is kind of loud and annoying, they should have quiet areas by pool where you can't hear the music. The evening show at 930pm is kind of random, that needs to change or improve.

Very nice resort. Fabulous service, very good food. Nice pools.

Overall stay was good but watch specifically out for CHIGGERS/MITES. I realized in my stay that I had an excruciating itch on my thigh. Soon red dots formed all around my leg near the bite and caused bruising in the tissue. I realized in the hotel room there were Dust mites that were biting me and even after my trip the damaged tissue is still there.

The food is good, but you have a very limited options for dinner if you have a child under 18 years, two la carte dinner restaurants plus the buffet as the resort decided to close one of the restaurants per day, in addition to CHINOLA restaurant if you are a club member and the waiting time for the la carte dinner restaurants are very long, sometimes over an hour.

The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond their jobs to ensure we were happy. The hotel was gorgeous and kept very clean. The food and entertainment was nothing short of spectacular! Cant wait to go back!

Great experience overall. Our butler Julio was very helpful and made sure we were taken care of. The staff were friendly and attentive. It was our first time here and it certainly won't be our last, the kids enjoyed pool, the water park, activities, and the nightly entertainment. The resort is clean, has a great gym, new equipments and fitness classes. I loved healthy food options at Chinola restaurant. We were happy with our stay here.

I was there last week and all I can say is that my entire experience with my family was extremely amazing. I have no words to express the joy I feel right now because our entire visit at Hyatt Ziva was more than amazing. The staff was extremely friendly, excellent, fantastic, helpful, happy ,professional, kind and the beach 🏖 is so clean and the entire pool area and the rooms so luxurious and the entire resort. Thank you so much Hyatt for the best experience and for making me and my family feel so special. I will be back again in the future 😉
