Horrible experience. I don't give them a 0 because, I can't. We reserved a presidential apartment two months before our arrival. When the day came, after 5 hours of driving, the manager told us that our room was not ready because it was under construction still ( this happened to another 6 families that reserved there as well) , and they did not have a place to accommodate us. What they could offer us was a smaller place which we couldn't fit on the beds and give us an inflatable mattress. Since there was a curfew, and it was past the time, we did not have any other option than to stay there that night. The place they provided us smelled bad (like the meat aisle at a supermarket), the bathroom sealing was falling off. Too many broken things and they charged us the same amount of money for this apartment as if it were a presidential, but it was way smaller, less bedrooms and old furniture ( I feel that they just put a bunch of things that were laying around to decorate it ). They literally scammed us. After that night we were without a place to stay, far away from our home, everything was booked because of it was spring break and we spend a horrible weekend just looking for a place to stay. I recommend if you are planning for a trip, don't book here to avoid this situation since we were not the only ones having this issue.

Disappointing. The bad news: security layers are complicated to enter Cap Cana, where the hotel is located. I was without cell phone reception and without a working wifi in the room until later in the night, for which I had to keep reaching out to the staff. The toilet seat was lose, the master bedroom faucet had little pressure, and the showerhead was broken. The good news: the area is really safe and there are security measures at multiple points. The pool area is beautiful. There is a mini market, pharmacy, and coffee shop nearby. There are bikes available to get around. The apartment was very clean and the kitchen had pots and dishware. The staff did the best they could for me. María and Elsa were helpful. The breakfast was good. In conclusion, the hotel proprietor needs to rent fixed apartments and not allow the rental of apartments that aren't "ready." I would think twice before ever going back and I would check if these basic things are fixed/working before renting. The staff do their best; please be patient with them because they do alot. One nice tip for reception: when answering the phone, mention the name of the hotel and thank the customer for calling or ask how to help. Thanks for all you did to help rectify the damaged things.

Tanama Lodge is based on the concept of a pure Dominican Experience. Here you can relax in a really nice closed residential project with a neat, topline fitness center, cozy pool and even a cinema.

We stayed one night there and it was clean and nice. When we had to check in we had a lot of trouble because we had the wrong location. When we finally found the office we had to go in there to get a confirmation and go back to the hotel. When we reach over there we found out that they did not charge the card online so we had to go and pay before getting the key.Imagine!!! We were so impatient because we were tired and hungry. They have a lil store near the hotel. The pool is nice and children friendly.

This is a nice place to escape from the city a weekend or spend a few days while you explore the area. It's a set of apartments, very well equipped, decorated, with a common pool with a waterfall. Ideal for families and friends looking to have a nice time.

If you've never been to the DR I would suggest finding a hotel and stay on property. Our second time to the DR we stayed at Tanama Lodge. Unfortunately both of our Spanish skills are lacking. Roads are not marked well and if you don't know Spanish you will be hard pressed to find it. Located right outside of Cap Cana near the 2nd entrance, it is gated and private and you will need to have all of you documents to enter. Extremely safe, restaurants and one of 2 grocery stores in Punta Cana are in walking distance.

Like many resort properties after the pandemic, many things needed to be done to Tanama. Management went through a lot of property managers before they finally found Eduardo. From day one, Mr Eduardo had the staff jumping after he replaced the old staff left over from the down days of covid. At first, we thought that he would be like all the other managers, here today and gone next week, but happily this was not the case. He has transformed Tanama Lodge and brought back some of its former grandeur by motivating his staff to get everything done that needed to be done. It was quite heartbreaking to see so many good things hurt by hurricane Fiona. We thought it would take forever to undo the damages caused by the hurricane. Happily and surprisingly, Mr Eduardo motivated his team once again without extra outside help straightened up the properties mess from Fiona. Tanoma Lodge is a great property within the Cap Cana boundaries that is affordable and has many amenities such as an awesome pool, workout gym, volleyball area with sand, and an artificial turf soccer field. It is a great place to stay and the workers are hard working and friendly. I highly recommend it to anyone coming to the Cap Cana area and wanting more to do during your stay. Congratulations to Mr Eduardo and his team for such an awesome job well done especially in light of what happened during Fiona.
