What an amazing place! If you want the real jungle experience and you want to get to know the local culture, fauna, flora, food and much more I would absolutely recommend you to stay at the Shipati lodge. The family is very nice and happy to introduce you to their culture and lifestyle. The lodge is huge with a lot of cacao plants, and every other plant you wish to see on your trip. Every morning and evening they freshly prepare delicious local dishes at a fair price. Everything they use for cooking is harvested from the lodge. From the lodge you have an amazing view over Misahualli and the Amazonas forest. The lodge is an incredible experience that I can very much recommend.

Shipati Lodge is a beautiful place to get to experience the authentic life in the Oriente for a few days. To get there you can either take a Taxi from Misahuallí for 5$ or take a boat from the beach in Misahuallí for 1$ and then take the walk up to the lodge which takes around 10 minutes. The lodge is not luxurious but you have clean and very comfortable rooms with all the amenities you need, hammocks to relax and reliable WiFi. The place is run by a local Quichua family and the house is built in the traditional style. You have the option to eat lunch and dinner at the lodge and if you wish you can take full day or half day trips from here with a local guide that are tailored to you depending on what you want to see. You can walk down to the river anytime to go for a swim or spend some time playing with the monkey of the house Wayra. I would definitely recommend spending a few nights here.

Beautiful place surrounded by nature, the food is so delicious! But if you're afraid of cockroaches don't consider spending the night.

Just an amazing hidden place in the Amazon that you definitely most visit when you're going to Misahualli town. Nice people, greatest view of Napo river, full of nature and very safe place.
