I too heard about the recent news articles about Kausar, not only the Kottakal one, but also the Kozhikode. I doesn't feels anything bad about them. I have tried from both the Kausar, I felt Kottakal is better. The last time we tried the beef ribs Mandi, that was awesome. It's somewhat expensive, even though it's worthy. If I am not wrong it cost ₹200 for per person. I didn't try any other items from here, So I can't tell the quality of rest.

It is a fairly busy Mandi shop with a good dining space and decent parking facilities, making it a comfortable spot for families and groups. However, coming to the food, it doesn't really live up to the hype. The taste is just normal and average. One major downside is that their 'Normal Mandi' is never available, no matter what time you visit. Also, when you order extra rice, it feels like they are serving a different batch altogether, as there is a noticeable difference in its taste. The management definitely needs to focus more on improving the overall flavor and taste of their food. In terms of service, it could be much better. Perhaps due to the rush, the service feels a bit lacking and needs improvement.
