Not a clean area at all,.......... so many small samml Stoll it's good for growing local business but it's makes this area so much congested, drainage systems can be better, local police and authorised person they can be more strict regarding cleaning. There is a huge market of handicrafts, cloths, electeonics, toys on the beach itself. Beach is mostly clean and in the morning volunteers of beach administration clean the beach. I must say that Puri beaches are too cleaned and organised as compared to other beaches in eastern coastal area. Water is light greenish with milky white peak. You can have tea and snacks at reasonable price. Marine road go along with series of beaches almost 5 Km . The view at evening is damn attractive. Hotels are available at very low price, local food quality is very delicious. You can get North Indian cuisine and one sweet name chhena PODA is damn delicious. The best thing about this beach lots of space is available and rush is very low . You can chill and enjoy with family there .

Sidewalks are all encroached. Auto fares are exorbitant if you stay at 1km away hotel. The drivers are extremely rude and become physical when confronted. Excellent place my first ever trip with me friends, enjoyed a lot. We planned in the month of January. I think it is the best time you can visit here. We reached at 6:30 morning from tatanagar after reach to hotel we get ready for the beach and that's here the best moments starts, we enjoyed for almost 3-4 hours in the salty water. After that we get back to our rooms and at evening time we came again to visit evening daily market near the beach. And that is also very good.
