Appears
to
be
well
stacked
for
a
supermarket
opposite
to
my
house
in
Piralassery,
manned
by
a
distant
cousin
whose
kin
are
in
the
Gulf,
but
sloppiness
of
service
was
noticed,
in
that
the
person
at
the
counter
wasn't
aware
of
prices
of
ready
to
eat
snacks.
Needs
more
grooming.
Generally
backwardness
of
neighbours
will
not
make
such
things
evident.
Besides
saw
bystanders
serving
customers
by
weighing
groceries,
which
too
is
rather
not
the
norm
for
a
shop
of
that
size.
Recently
there
were
reports
that
the
owner
disposed
off
entrails
of
fresh
chicken
waste
in
backyards
of
neighbours
who
were
unaware
till
stink
was
observed.
On
the
whole
the
way
business
is
conducted
floats
all
norms
of
decency.
It
is
not
the
size
of
a
shop
but
the
way
they
conduct
business
which
ensures
its
longevity.
I
have
seen
another
shopkeeper
in
mid-50s
who
thanks
all
his
customers
for
patronizing
him.
I
feel
that
should
be
the
attitude.
As
Mahatma
Gandhi
said:
The
customer
is
the
most
important
element
of
our
business.
It
is
not
he
who
is
dependent
on
us,
but
we
who
are
dependent
on
a
customer
[&
so
on].
