Very friendly and welcoming gym, with a reasonable drop in fee for KL. Good mix of locals, foreigners and skills levels, and a high calibre of instruction. Recommend if you’re visiting or staying here!

Classes are really comprehensive, the coaches go in-depth about the concepts so it's easier to apply when rolling than just memorising step-by-step. For someone who is new like me, the coaches are really patient and makes sure you get all the fundamentals down. Friendly community, substantial amount of girls every class to roll with & great 90s tunes too!

Went for drop ins for fundamental and regular class during my vacation with some friends. Gym was really clean, big and showers and toilets were available. Water can be bought over the counter and they have gi rental as well! Do bring your own towels as they do not have shower towels. The coach was detailed in teaching techniques and members were really kind to give feedback as well. They were friendly and I enjoyed my time there!

I passed through KL last night and decided to train with at AOS on a recommendation from another gym in SE Asia. They were so nice! They let me know they had gis to borrow and it was easy to show up for a lesson. This was my first time at a gym away from home and I was welcomed warmly immediately by a lot of the players. After the great lesson, the rolling was great. It's a good family of players there and they were really good and fun to roll with. If I lived in KL this would be my home gym for sure. I could tell everyone there was really, really into BJJ and making each other better. It would be a great gym for a beginner looking to get good fast, as even the white belts obviously were learning fast there and having a lot of fun doing it. A+

2 things that makes an ideal bjj gym, the environment & the coach. AOS has both. It has a friendly environment that makes you want to come back for more & an amazing coach (Mike) that patiently guide you to every move. Highly recommend the place to any bjj enthusiasts. Oss!!!

Professional Jiu-jitsu instruction by professor Fitri Rosman. We had him in for a seminar and the team loved it. Highly recommended and such a friendly and warm human, yet a savage on the mat.

Had friends introduce me to this place. If you are new and want to get into BJJ this is the place. Really enjoy my BJJ experience. With emphasis on safety and no injury. They have friendly experienced teachers with a great introduction class. Their trial class is FREE!! they even have a gi you can use for FREE!! Have signed up and throughly enjoyed my experience here.

The gym is one of the most friendliest staffs and people here in KL. They made us feel at home whilst training there during my visit to Malaysia. There’s a great mix of skills levels within guys and girls which made it perfect for free rolling session after class. The coaches made sure to roam around giving one-on-one instructions to make sure you get the fundamentals right. Would definitely come train here again if I visit KL again!

It was my first time doing jiu jitsu and the positive energy of everyone there made it really nice experience. All of the more experienced people are more than happy to spar with a beginner like me and they are extremely kind and patient. Great experience!

I trained at AoS for about five weeks while I was visiting Kuala Lumpur, and I would definitely do so again when I return. The gym is very clean and modern (great mats, great showers). Everyone is very welcoming, especially to beginners, women, kids, and older folks. I especially appreciated how welcoming they were to me as a short term student. Mike is a great instructor, with a very technical style. He is very skilled both with the gi and without. First week of classes is free, so there's no reason not to try it out.

Quite simply, this is the best place to train BJJ in Malaysia. Straight off the bat, the instructors are top notch, the people incredibly welcoming and the vibe absolutely chill. I want to single out Fitri Rosmin as one of the nicest and technically sound instructors I've met. He's a very welcoming teacher who is incredibly patient and understanding. Thank you, Professor and the rest of the AOS team for making this the premier place for Jits.

Have been training a year here in AOS. Coaches here are ultra friendly and helpful. If you wanna try out jiujitsu or learn self defense - come to AOS -!

Did a free trial session at AOS, and found the session to be welcoming and beginner friendly. The instructors are experienced and skilled at guiding newcomers or white belts. There was a good range of practitioners from blue to brown. There's a diverse crowd of people to roll with and embodies the culture of respect and tradition common in martial arts. Benefits: - Large space for rolling. The mats are thick and the facility is really spacious for sparring. - High ceilings and air conditioning. There was no stuffy air and the high ceilings and aircond helps with resting inbetween rolls. - The syllabus was written on the walls and the drill explanations were easy to understand, and even when I struggled, the coaches were quick to help correct the techniques. Cons: - I couldn't find a water refill, but there was a fridge of large mineral water and carbonated drinks for sale, which was much appreciated too. No other cons and I essentially had a good workout from my session at AOS.

Brought my 8 year old here to train during our 3 week’s vacation. Coach Fitri and everyone at the gym were extremely welcoming. Coach Fitri was very good at coaching the kids class and very attentive to ensure no unforeseen injuries. Highly recommend this gym to anyone who wants their child to train BJJ in a safe and fun environment. Plenty of space for the parents to hang around to watch the class.

Clean mats and great people. The AOS community is a great bunch of people dedicated to help you get better. Suitable for any level of martial practitioners (from the absolute fresh to the black belts).

My experience with AOS has really been fun and insightful. This is the first time I tried BJJ, but the instructors and other students are all very friendly. I'd recommend AOS even if you have no experience. Do enjoy :)

I was only able to attend 3 classes during my time here in malaysia, but during those few lessons, I had learned so much considering I had zero experience beforehand. The environment was extremely welcoming and the coaches were able to explain all the different moves really well, with more focus on getting the technique right. I would highly reccomend AOS to anyone interested in learning jujitsu as I know I had a blast during my time with them.

I'm especially grateful to Coach Neo for teaching and guiding me throughout the past 2 months when I was having a very hard time during my training. Everyone at AOS has been welcoming, helpful and fun to be around. I'm thankful to everyone for being willing to train with me and very glad to have met and join this wonderful community.

The team at Art of Submission welcomed me in during a 3 week vacation and showed me wonderful hospitality. As an advanced brown belt, i found the technical instruction from Professor Fitri and Coach Nathaniel was top-notch. If you're a seasoned practitioner or a fresh beginner, you will feel welcome and find value in this clean, beautiful space.

Great Environment inside the gym, well maintained and clean and everyone was friendly and welcoming, I trained with their Coach Fritri awesome dude and very knowledgeable. Will definitely recommend checking them out

Easy to find with free parking up front. Good coaches and oppourtunities to drill. Only real concern is the layout of the gym as there are poles all over the mat and sparring area. Have to keep an eye out when rolling to make sure you dont knock yourself out or your partner!

Notes for others visiting: - the class is on the second floor, facing the street - there are showers and gi rentals available - I would recommend just taking a ride share (grab) to get there (public transport will take much longer if coming from bukit bintang) - apparently advanced students are more likely to show up to evening classes Clean spot, nice crew of people, big mats, and Mike is a very good BJJ black belt (who exposed many weak spots in my game in just 5 minutes;) who is down to roll with visitors. He is not Chinese though😆

Based on the short time we've been coming, it's been positive and I like how the coaches teach the children.

Can't recommend this place enough ❤️ Dropped in for two sessions as I was briefly staying in KL and had a great time with everyone at the gym. I felt immediately welcome. Super friendly people of all skill levels to roll with. No wannabe ninjas or tough guys, just great company and a guaranteed workout 💪 Drop-in price was RM50/session. Gi rental for RM15 and they have sizes going up to A4. The schedule is on their website. There's standard BJJ and no-gi on alternating nights on weekdays and sessions during the day on weekends. Don't hesitate to go! You won't regret it.

Great gym with amazing facilities and hospitality! And amazing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Boxing classes with great and knowledgeable instructors. Best is the head coach Mike who has a diverse knowledge on BJJ and self-defence. Plus this gym has local champs in BJJ and MMA! Also great for fitness and a great life changer.... Come and and sign up today. Wait no more!

A martial arts & fitness studio that caters for the entire family! Not only is it fun for my kids but they are learning useful life & self-defence skills. For the grown-ups whether you're a working mom or dad, it is an amazing opportunity to train on a daily basis with local & regional champs (MMA, BJJ & Boxing). Most importantly, the head instructor Mike, a high level BJJ brown belt from the UK, is the nicest guy who is hands-on with his students and has the ability to break every technique down to the smallest detail making every session a fruitful experience for practitioners of all levels. Being a white belt for a long time in KL, i've been around a number of places so i can say with confidence that AOS ticks all the boxes for me 😁🤙 OSS!

Prof. Neo, Prof. Ren, and Prof. Fitri very handsome. The facility there is more than enough for a BJJ athletic and also MMA Athletes. One of my personal favorite gym and I would go often if I stay somewhere near there.

Great gym! The coaches are great, always focused on perfecting technique and giving enough time to drill them. All of them are super patient and encouraging even if you're a begginer. The community in the gym is AWESOME which was a big thing for me, it's not one of those gyms where everyone you roll with is out to hurt you till you tap.

Dropped by AOS to train for two days in June and I really enjoyed the experience! Everyone was really warm and friendly. The coach, Prof Fitri was super welcoming and knowledgeable too. The gym was really spacious and clean. The mats were really soft as well. The only downside I would say is that only small towels were provided to dry the feet. So bring your own towels!

I came in for a drop in session during my stay in Kuala Lumpur and was met with warm welcomes and good vibes. Great environment and culture in the gym. The breakdown of the technique was really good and the coaching while drilling was also really helpful. Definitely hope to revisit on future trips. Super chill and fun!

Had my first-ever BJJ gi session here. The instructor, Nate, was very cool, explained everything in detail, and answered every question I had. The team was very nice and friendly. I signed up for my free one-week trial, and they even provided the gis for free, which I was not expecting—amazing. Great service overall, clean environment and they also sell rashguards and shorts for training. Will sign up for the membership!
