It's an intimate low cost coffee bar with coffee that rivals some of Melbourne's best. When you place your order, you could be assured that Chris gives you his best. I've been here 4 times in the past week and I've not seen him rushing in his workflow. - therefore coffee is excellent every time you ask for one. Being the owner of this coffee bar and getting dirty on making you your coffee, there's a sense of warmness when you become a regular customer. Conversations happen. And when they do over coffee, magic takes over. This is what every coffee bar needs to achieve. I dare say; This is the BEST coffee bar in Subang/USJ.

I want to give 100 stars but it's limited to 5 only 😆 Atap is the cafe that offers you top-notch coffee, service, and ambience. A truly hidden gem indeed. 💎 They offer varieties of the beans with 3 choices of the serving: black for espresso, white for latte, cappuccino, flat white, and filter for manual brew. I had Atap 2.0 with Filter and it tastes fantastic. ❤️ Very aromatic and delightful. They also have non-coffee and light-bites menus. The ambience of the cafe will just help you to relax and sip your coffee. ✨Also they have good taste in music and the volume isn't loud! 🌈 You will not find some big groups having gatherings and posing for taking pictures. And the staff! Super friendly, attentive, and helpful! The barista will explains to you about the coffee menus, and you can also have a chit-chat with them. Plus, they will ask customers feedback. 👌 Imo, Atap offers the experience that will not be found in most cafes nowadays: passion and closeness. ☕

9/4/2022 Planned to come here a day before, came with excitement to show kids a tattoo parlour cum cafe. Reached early morning, there was only a table wth 3 ladies. When we got seated, the area is hot＆stuffy, we requested the young lady to switch on the air cond. While we were browsing the menu, that young lady was wiping one of the doors, so we requested her again to switch on. She asked us to see the menu first whether it's suitable or not. **ok...gave her the benefit of doubt at this point. Anyway she still switched on after that reply. We are a family of 2 adults & 2 small kids (7 & 4 yo) , the menu is really limited, just 4-5 pastries only. Anyway we ordered 2 drinks & 2 pastries. My husband went to buy a few more pastries from a nearby shop for the kids. When food was served, there is not enough cutleries for 4 person. We requested additional plates, lady replied outside food is not allowed***really.. Now plates become an issue.. In actual, whether we brought outside food or not, the cutleries is insufficient for 4 pax. Anyway she brought 2 extra plates for us. Because of her comments, I'm reluctant to ask for 2 more sets of cutleries & used fingers to eat my pastries instead. My husband was browsing the catalogue, & after that the lady went to wipe the files ***alright, that's it, it's just like nasty boutique sales girls back - to-back realigning clothes that customers flip. Due to the service shown, I feel uneasy throughout. This is the 1st time I feel unwelcomed into an eatery, usually eateries are especially helpful to patrons with kids. Undoubtedly this is a unique spot, but I actually felt my Saturday morning is spoiled. I don't blame the lady, everything she did was theoretically correct. But the overall experience is poor & I left with disappointment. Perhaps the management sould better train employees, or be straight up to mention this cafe is adult cafe etc (not sure any suitable terms). I tried my best here to be fair in my comments, hopefully management will improvise. Thank you.

The best cafe experience so far, you can really feel each order is made with love. Very high quality drinks using high quality materials. My mum gave a huge thumbs up! (She is a very picky person and she absolutely love it!) 10/10 would come again!

I’m a regular here, Chris and CY definitely serves great coffees. Hence, why I keep coming back. While I was browsing through their reviews, I often seen customers compared their services to bigger cafes. It’s not wrong but it’s also unfair because Atap provides an intimate space for their customers to experience great coffees. For future customers, do note that they have a huge list of amazing coffees but fill your tummy up before you visit atap. Their coffees are like desserts *chef’s kiss*

Another Small Hidden Cafe? Not exactly... Opportunity came knocking one day when there was some chores to go in Subang Jaya. After my college years in INTI Subang in the 90s, I seldom step into this notorious area anymore. So much has change especially my former college, the high rise development and the shops. Luck was on my side as I found a parking spot near my intended destination - you know how hard it is to find one during weekday. My mind was singing "I gotta feeling.." already knowing that it was a start to a good day. Your legs will need to work out a bit - Atap is located on the second floor of a shoplot, taking just a room with a small loft. Only maximum 4 pax can fit inside the brightly lit room, although upon querying the barista informed me that I can actually utilise the space belonging Wayang Kulit Tatu. These guys are serious about coffee - tell them about your preference and they will make appropriate recommendation for you. True enough, my long black came fruity and slightly acidic while her flat white packed a punch... paired nicely with out mushroom & onion Danish pastry. Check out their kombucha selection if coffee is not your thing.

We dropped by at this unsung coffee shop at 8am to try Ethiopia Single Origin & Necropolis Blend. Definitely the best coffee I ever had and great conversation with coffee-passionate owner! Will come back again soon to try another seasonal bean ;).

The place exudes character. You walk in and immediately everything on display is just so, from the art to the carvings. It creates a space where u can just relax with a cuppa. The actual cafe itself is tiny but the space shared with the tattoo parlor is simply a delight. Had the house blend--coffe is enjoyable, as was the hojicha latte (i like that sugar was not premixed). The entrance can be easy to miss from the street, but just look out for the distinctive signboard of Wayang Kulit Tatu

Staff is knowledgeable about coffee, and there's a variety of coffee beans you won't usually see. It's on the 3rd floor, and the entrance is a bit low-key, which may be hard to find. Seats are quite limited, which may fit about 10 people only. There's also a tattoo shop inside, if you're interested in that. I'm not really a coffee connoisseur, so i can't judge if the coffee is good since I'm just there to try different coffee.

This is a small little cafe adjoining a tattoo parlor on the second floor. But don’t be fooled by its size. They serve some really wonderful blends - I had the most amazing Ethiopian blend. And they know their coffees; just ask them and they’ll be happy to recommend. Seating is available at the Wayang Kulit Tattoo parlor. About 20+ seats available. It’s a surreal experience, at least for me, sipping coffee at a tattoo place. Love the ambience. Decor is everything to do with tattoos, what else!😊 Love this place, will be back with more friends! Remember that this is a walk-up; also if you’re not looking carefully you’ll miss the entrance- look for the Pagi Coffee sign board. Street side parking is tricky but if you’re patient, you’ll find a slot.

A great place to have sincere cup of coffee. We had the iced lattes (12rm each) (Atap blend and one more I can't remember 😣) and both were equally good and distinct from each other. They have charging ports around the cafe so it is a great place to work. Entrance might be a bit tricky to spot, so make sure ur carefully looking out for the signage. Will revisit!

This is the most wonderful café that i have ever been to. Very suitable for introverts who love to spend their time alone. The atmosphere is absolutely wonderful. The coffee was absolutely amazing. Highly recommended place and would love to visit again.

Rating the coffee here. Excellent place for coffee lovers. They have a coffee menu here so if you are not sure, just ask the team there to recommend something for you. They will not disappoint you. Service is definitely on point. Atmosphere? Well they share a spot with a tattoo parlour so imagine sitting in a cozy place with walls depicting tattoos and skeletons and such. Parking is a breeze if you come first thing in the morning but midday onwards, fight for a spot in SS15.

Discovered a hidden gem of a cafe with a truly unique atmosphere. The blend of dark aesthetics, wayang elements, and antique furniture creates a distinctive theme. Tried the Peru Cafe Latte, and it's undoubtedly one of the best I've ever had. The Rin Houjicha Latte was also delightful. The service was outstanding; the staff was incredibly helpful and patiently explained the menu. Highly recommended for a relaxed hangout with friends. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Unironically artisan - first true espresso I had in Malaysia. Folks here know their stuff, they've set the bar for coffee here so far me. Also, they've got a variety of beans so you've got plenty of blends to try from

Chanced upon this cafe and no regret . It’s a place for coffee fix but I am taking TEA instead. Love the ambience surrounded by tattooist art which is uniquely intriguing. The old antiques and its freedom of seatings is appealing. Worth coming the Experience.

This little cafe is situated on the 1st floor of a shop lot sharing space with Wayang Kulit Tatu. Love the hojicha here. It's so creamy and nutty in flavour. The coffee was my daughter's drink and she said it was good too.

Lucero white is excellent. Coffee aroma wafts down the stairway even before I reach the cafe. Nutty chocolatey taste of beans complemented well by the milk. My mom had a dark chocolate drink with less sugar. She loved it too, saying the chocolate taste is rich and overall sweetness mild. Suitable for people who’re conscious of sugar intake without sacrificing taste.

Good spot for a cuppa coffee, matcha or Kombucha! They share the same space as a tattoo parlour on the third floor of the building with a decent amount of seating available. Nice place to just chill back & catch up with mates over a conversation.
