Reached out to Charlie's regarding scheduling a sit down dinner for 40 people. They gave us a response within 30 minutes of the request and accommodated our entire crew, phenomenally. The food was great, the service was excellent, we will definitely worth the time again when we are out in the Puyallup area. Thank you again!

Solid breakfast/brunch spot with a hometown feel. The bene had really great hollandaise! Weve also been for happy hour in the lounge, has a nice cozy atmosphere- the bartender/waitress was super attentive and the food was great. The wings were excellent, got the buffalo which were not too spicy not too mild. Bonus for having them on the happy hour menu! Good beer selection, would definitely go back

Had Eggs Benedict, absolutely best in town!!! Priced right. Excellent service by, Melissa. Kept our drinks full. Bacon was delicious, not that cheap see through stuff. Support Local!!! Get on in here for great breakfasts!

Great staff in this restaurant / lounge. Lounge is larger than I recall pull tabs and seemed full of regular patrons.

Very good food here! We were a bit reluctant with the outside and inside looks dated but the menu doesn't miss a beat! We talked about coming again soon for breakfast because everything was great! Our server told us to ordered the whipped berry drink (that's not on the menu but in the system still) for next time. The sangria was a bit dry but I liked it. Coconut marg was amazing! And our entrees were just the way we wanted them!

This cozy spot was recommended by a friend. Got me a omelette with everything but the kitchen sink! Gotta add jalapenos! Super hearty and delicious! Those appetizers aren't to shabby either. 😁🙏🏽✊🏽✌🏽

I wish I could say that our first experience with this place last night was as good as everyone else on here says it is but it was not. The service and staff were great, the atmosphere was rustic and comfortable but our drink and food left a lot to be desired. My Strawberry Lemonade tasted horrible like the Strawberries were old and the Lemonade watered down (they took this off the bill), the coke was tasting a little flat, The stuffed mushrooms were not cooked all the way through but were tasty, I was disappointed when my burger came and it was pink all the way through - the waitress didn't ask me how I wanted it cooked and so I didn't know there was an option to ask for it well done so I took it home to cook more so I could eat it. We came in about 1hr before closing and they had just sat a 11 top table so that table was definitely the priority which is fine, it's a lot of work, but it meant our food was not great. The one highlight is that my husband's chicken fried steak was good.

We had a great brunch! The staff were all friendly and accommodating and the food was really good and customizable. The quesadilla had a generous amount of chicken. The French fries were seasoned and tasty. Eggs were fluffy and the desserts were great. The chocolate cake was incredibly chocolatey so beware haha. The turtle cheesecake was perfect.

Service was amazing, 5/5 stars. But the food was just… Not impressive, especially considering the prices. The waffle was bland and tasted like it came from a box, the strawberry compote also tasted pre-made, and the steak skillet scrambler was a very small portion for a $17 dish. Not to mention the steak tips tasted a bit dry, and there just wasn’t much flavor. I ate every bite, but only after drowning it in hot sauce. And I’m not the type to let food go to waste… Especially with that price tag. Despite the great customer service, I won’t be back. I truly don’t understand all the rave reviews of the food, but I’m glad others feel like they got their money’s worth, because I sure didn’t.

Cute place. Food needs some attention. When you have a limited menu you should be able to nail the food. I got the scramble. It did not have any potatoes, cheese was not melted and it was way too salty. Biscuit was good. Eggs benny should have a decent piece of ham not a slice of lunch meat. Service was great and the atmosphere was amazing.

Wonder spontaneous lunch with the family. They gave the kids balloons after our meal and it absolutely made their day! Delish and good portions.

Sofie is great ask for her! Chicken steak is a must and do BROWN GRAVY also fries great for dipping. All food was great amazing!

This place felt like family the minute we walked in the very first time. Their food is phenomenal, their services excellent and they always have a smile on and are always happy to see you. This is a 'must visit' place. We just had the prime rib Friday night dinner and that was fantastic!

We had the sweetest server late on a Saturday afternoon. It was like Grandma's industrial chic house. With things like homemade pot roast, chicken fried steak, and chicken wings on the menu, the vibe definitely matched. The food was yummy and the service even better.

Great! It's the same as always, thank goodness! They have the best hot chocolate I've ever had. The food is still very good even though the prices have increased a bit, but that's offset by the portion sizes. I had half of my breakfast and took the test home for dinner and it tasted just as good.

Amazing breakfast! Also recommend buying a bottle of champagne for mimosas. I got the California burrito and would definitely return for it.

Popped in after a long day of beverages at the fair. Had some appetizers to go along with some other beverages. Fries were cooked perfectly. Flat bread pizza was fresh and hot. A Buffalo ranch version would be a good addition to the menu. BBQ chicken version was too sweet in my opinion. Staff was very nice to my very loud and tipsy friend.

Food was good, especially the potatoes. Mango tea could used some more flavor to it.

This restaurant was amazing, we came in and were sat down immediately, we ordered our drinks and appetizers and got them in just a few minutes, we got fried zucchini sticks and the j-shrooms, the j shrooms were mushrooms stuffed with cheddar and cream cheese they were amazing, the fried zucchini sticks were amazing and came with house ranch which was equally as amazing. After we ordered our meals which were fish and chips and the prime rib dipper, the fish and chips came with beautiful fried cod and amazing crispy fries, the prime rib dipper came with huge onion rings and amazing meat juice and a delicious prime rib burger and the softest bun ever, our server Michelle was amazing and never let our drinks remain empty, she was friendly and checked up on us to make sure everything was OK. Overall, this restaurant was the best I'd ever been to, and I can't recommend it enough! we went for a second time and got the bird, and it was quite possibly the best sandwich I've ever eaten!

Years ago, we would go to Charlie's every week. Something has changed. The food was just ok. The service was terrible. We sat in the bar and took the waitress at least 15 minutes to even come to the table. She asked us if we wanted the breakfast or lunch menu and we asked for both. When she brought back the menus, she said breakfast was only available for 3 more minutes, but she would get the order in immediately if we wanted breakfast, then she walked away. She did not come back for another 15 minutes. Thankfully, we all wanted lunch. We never got any refills and she only came by one more after we got our food.

Service was lacking, Pot roast was not good, the Avocado chicken salad was dry(grilled chicken!), the potato soup was bland, and the breakfast potato was overcooked, the only thing we liked was the "J-Shrooms" that was good.

👍Charlie's in Puyallup👍 Nice local diner type restaurant, great espresso martinis with good food portions. I enjoyed the real Chicken Fried Dinner w/ mashed potatoes & fresh cooked vegetables. Others at the table enjoyed the Chicken Ceasar Salad, 3 egg Omelet Breakfast & Chicken Fried Steak Breakfast. Both were good and presented well. We had dessert as well.

This place is phenomenal! We are just finishing up and I wanted to write this so I'd leave nothing out. I had the halibut and fries 🍟 while my husband had the steak fried steak (yes steak fried steak). He requested brown gravy because we are from Pennsylvania. (Brown gravy is for the evening supper and country gravy is for breakfast). We received our meal and immediately dipped our fries 🍟 in the gravy (it's a Pennsylvania Dutch thing) and Sophie our waiter (who was friendly and patientwhile we decided what to order) was curious so we keyed her in on it. By the way the brown gravy is so fantastically good I could 😋 the bowl and it compliments the 🍟 so well. If you come in you have to give it a shot promise you won't be disappointed because it's home-made! Lots of 💘 to the Chef!!!

Location, is pretty good as it is easy to get in and out in a vehicle or walking around in the downtown area. Service we did not have any issues with, they were helpful if we had any questions or changes. The atmosphere wasn't too bad, it is family friendly. The food wasn't too bad everyone enjoyed it. Though for mine I had gotten a burger which was good but with too much grease so part of the bun was too soggy to eat for my tastes.

Awesome home town restaurant and bar. There food is always delicious, they tend to have rib sticking comfort food like mom used to make and lots of it. I enjoy everything from the amazing meatloaf to there grubbin Rubin sandwiches. Go grab dinner there, you won't be disappointed.
