Sunrise or sunset, this is a good place and one of the few 'legal' places to see it. You will not be alone but still there are not many people.

One of the few temple which is well maintained and allow tourist to head to the second floor. Since most temples no longer allow tourist to climb or head to the upper floor, thus this temple can be very crowded during morning. According to our tuk tuk driver, this temple is not accessible during evening time.

One year ago, I had to pay 5,000kyats for a local people after he showed me this temple that I can see the sunrise. Now, you can search it on Google Maps and you get into here easier. It's really a good viewpoint to catch the sunrise or sunset.

My favorite temple I visited in bagan! It’s one of the only ones open for climbing and it’s a bit further than the others and not easily accessed by bus for tour groups so less people. But it still gets crowded, watch out for the ticket guy make sure you bring your ticket with you! Beautiful for sunrise and sunset with 360 views!

A bit crowdy but one of the last open temple in the area. Amazing view for sunrise.

The lock on the staircase is actually just hung in and unlocked ;) Nobody there. Not even for sunset.
