Huge queues at passport control upon arrival :( EU passports gates do not accept other citizens even when there are no EU citizens in queues... Small airport with some car rentals, exchange office, testing point. Bus stop to the center of Katowice is just in front of the terminal. A ticket to the city center is 5-6 PLN on a public bus. The terminal does not accept cards, only cash in local currency. You should go to the exchange office...

This is an airport in Poland's second biggest agglomeration and it doesn't have a restaurant! There is a bar squeezed in the corner serving fast-food only. Kebabs and pizzas out of a microwave (or so they look like it) and since this place has a monopoly on food, lack of space to sit. KTW should be ashamed of the poor quality of pretty much everything, lack of services, mismanaged organization. It looks good, new and modern but feels like a bazar from 20 years ago.

Nice modern looking airport, but nearly no one speaks English, so you better know Polish if you want to fly out of here and know what is going on. All announcements were in Polish and we had no idea what was going on and nearly missed our flight because of it. Biggest surprise was, that even Ryanair employees didn't speak English. Will try and avoud this airport whenever possible. Also great if you want to get covid. Everyone is herded into a small corridor to wait for security.

It turned out to be a very good airport. I have been to many airports in our world. And usually I don't pay much attention to airports because I always want to get out of them as quickly as possible. But here at the airport I got in an interesting situation my passport was about to expire and I did not know what to do and it seemed my trip was over. But the guys that are checking did everything they could to help and get me on the flight, and for that I am very grateful to them, they saved my 2 week vacation! Thank you airport staff.

nice one. I'm usually pretty stressed when I go to this airport because there was loads of times when something went wrong (delays, staff being really picky and trying to make money out of everything) . also, tried to go and see the viewing point but it seems to be closed now which is disappointing.

All water fountains out of service because of covid, somehow other airports do not need to use such ridiculous excuse. You are forced to buy overpriced water which is not environment friendly. Toilets as usual disgusting. Hand sanitizers are empty in many places.

Be careful if you sleep here for a night to catch a flight! The airport has good conditions for a sleepover for early flights (lavatories, plugs and benches). However, note that since it has such alright conditions, there will also be homeless people (possibly thieves?) roaming around late night (0100 hrs onwards), I've seen a couple, both good and possibly bad ones. So please, if you are doing a sleepover here, be seriously cautious!

I recently had the pleasure of flying through Katowice Airport and let me tell you, it's a real gem! The layout is super efficient - I didn't have to walk more than a few steps to get from security to my gate. And the lounge area is top-notch. It's spacious and comfortable, with big windows that offer amazing views of the landing strip. I'll definitely be returning to Katowice Airport the next time I'm in the area

Modern airport with different services needed for travelers. No information desk though, wifi does not work everywhere. Customs can take up to an hour or so. The airport is quite far from the city - one hour by bus.

Very beautiful building, modern. Lots of screen, so you can see information from everywhere. Trip to the city was totally worth the time. You can even charge your cellphone while in the bus.

For the directives of Mr. President, regarding the flight of two planes to Poland to return the citizens... Our ambassador to Poland at Katowice Airport bids farewell to our citizens... The two planes will arrive shortly to the homeland, God willing.

Transportation from Kraków Those who want to come to Katowice Airport, which is about 1.5 or 2 hours away from the center of Kraków, can buy an online MATUSZEK BUS TRANSFER (KATOWICE AIRPORT) ticket. Its price is 50 pln. Generally bus leaving from ul.W.Stwosza/Bosacka (Kraków - Małopolskie Dworce Autobusowe (MDA)) stops upper platform (level 0), stands G13A, G13 (check your ticket again). Last stop - Katowice International Airport (KTW), bus stop 3, approx 10 meters from the Terminal A. It is sufficient to print out your Reservation Number and show it to the driver. The bus can drop you off in front of Terminal A. When you enter the airport, you can quickly get to Terminal B and C by walking for 1 or 2 minutes. Gate entrances of Terminal A are on the ground floor, while the gates of other terminals are on the upper floor. If you have any questions, you can ask the Information desk.

For a small, modern airport it had everything, including good enough free WiFi for normal internet browsing. Arriving at 03:15 there were maybe 50 travellers and one coffee shop was open, which was handy for those that needed to keep awake till their 06:20, or similar, flight! Fast processing at security (4 stations) and customs (3 booths) in Terminal A. Plentiful seating at the gates, you toilets and drinking water fountain to hand.
