Recommended by a local and it isnoff thr beaten track but worth a visit. Good service, food and very reasonably priced. They even had a mini bus to take us to Vilamoura Harbour. I will return!

From Italy The atmosphere in the restaurant is really pleasant. The menu is in Portuguese but nevertheless all the waiters and waitress are really kind and willing to explain the best dishes conforming to your wills in English and even in Italian. I suggest following their proposals which can be different each day. We really appreciated the starters and the lamb meat. The desserts are e beautifully shown off in the middle of the room (a bit expensive). In general the cost is fair. I really recommend this restaurant!

What a fantastic restaurant. Can't speak highly enough of it. We were recommended to it by someone in our hotel. We got reception to phone and book for us and they picked us up at the hotel and brought us back after a superb meal with wonderful service

Beatrice and her wonderful staff are brilliant. From start to finish this is a great spot. The food never fails to deliver every time. The great humor of the host and all who work there makes for a great atmosphere. It's a must for us every time we visit the Algarve.

We had three fishes and they were all very good. The staff was also very friendly and gave great recommendations! We loved their “pudin” dessert and sangria too! Highly recommend this restaurant

Really good traditional food served simply. Excellent service. I started with simple fish stripes...little fish in batter. Shared a mixed seafood platter of monkfish, gambas, jumbo prawns, mussels and clams. Largest mussel ever! Prawns delicious. Had to have homemade dessert of fruity roulade and hot chocolate. Wine selection is extensive too. All good. Worth a visit.

Absolutely wonderful! I asked the hotel to recommend a good more local restaurant. They recommended La Carme. What a nice surprise. Portions are good and delicious. I had the monkfish with rice. A large quantity of fish and shrimp. And it was very reasonably priced. They even offer a taxi for free if you are in the area. I highly recommend this place!

What a fabulous experience! Every year we are in Portugal we have an opportunity to visit this top of class yet unpretentious restaurant. Because of it’s location it is not easy for tourists to find yet they seem full most nights. What a great secret! Oh yes the food in taste and presentation is as good as a 5-star restaurant. Met friends here for dinner. They recommended the mussels which can be served one of three ways - wine with garlic, a cream sauce, or a tomato based sauce. Our party tried each and found each enjoyable. Inexpensive house wine is very drinkable. Service was attentive and welcoming.

I am Vegan and emailed ahead, maybe by a week, and I was well catered for. I cannot thank the staff enough for accommodating me. Thank you :D (If you don't do this, there is still a great pasta option, but I just double checked before going)

Fantastic authentic Portuguese restaurant. The food was first class, the fish was fresh and delicious. The service was so good, our group was so well looked after by all the staff, we went back twice and will be going back during next year's trip. They even provided mini buses to pick us up from the hotel and take us back, free of charge.

A lot of good points : welcomed with espumante and seated soon after even though we didn’t book a table. Service was really good from every member of staff and the quality of the fish was superb. Unfortunately the food itself was bland. The fries weren’t seasoned, no dressing on the salad and I think the squid may have been cooked in a burnt pan. If they could just fix the simple things with the food then I’d happily come back.

A lovely place with great food and character tucked away in a part of the town I hadn't visited before. Great food and wine, and service to match. I had a beautiful piece of lamb which was slow cooked until tender and tasty. All in for four people was 180 Euros, and we had three courses and didn't hold back on the great Portuguese wine on offer.

This place set the culinary standard for us In Algarve. The hostess was amazing, kind and honest and her knowledge of local wine was very helpful. Food was incredible specially the muscle dish. It was made delicately with touch of added French flavoring that gave it an exceptional taste. Got to try it, it’s a culinary experience that you won’t forget.
