Fantastic spot. The atmosphere was great, the service was absolutely amazing, and the food was somehow better still! Great value for money as well, the portions were really generous at a good price.

Wonderful restaurant home cooked food started with the cheese bread and olives. For mains had the wonderful chicken best ever and a lovely dessert great beers and wine fantastic service at a reasonable price

Food taste was pretty good. Felt like home cooked. Price reasonable and portions are good. Not expensive. But we told the older waiter that we did not want the couvert. He took it away, but we were still charged for it. We couldn't read Portuguese so we didn't know we paid for it until we googled the item when we got back to hotel. The younger waiter was very good, but doesn't speak English.

This is officially the best place we ever had stake!!!! Look at this size!!! Great shrimp salad too, such a pity I asked for no onion and no tomato but got… half a plate full of tomatoes and onion underneath. I’m sure the chef didn’t read the note but the way he did the steak?! Hats down!

Ordered food for a take-away here. Staff were friendly and helpful. We ordered the sea bass and it was great. The other chicken dishes were decent too but we've had better from other places in Portugal.

Fabulous meal. Fish fresh and plenty of it pork kebabs delicious. Desert perfect and lovely Irish coffee. Best meal of our holiday reasonably priced.

We've been in Monteiro's snack bar multiple times during our last two trips to Portugal. Always welcoming family atmosphere. Very kind and top notch service. Food is incredibly tasty and fresh. Prices are also very attractive. Looking forward to visit this place during next trip !
