Reading the reviews, we were keen to eat here for lunch. The pulled pork sandwich was cold inside, with old and discoloured coleslaw, and wilted lettuce. The potato wedges were oil soaked and heavy. Both of these were entirely inedible. The toast with the vegetarian breakfast was stale and dry. The poached eggs in the eggs Benedict were very overcooked and not runny at all - they were barely jammy. The banana smoothie tasted like the honey once saw a banana, but that it was just honey and almond milk. The biggest benefit is the location, in that there is a playground just outside the cafe. We definitely will not come back.

Absolutely the place for great food and fantastic service and very reasonable prices. Caters for Gluten Free, Vegan and Nut allergies. Highly recommend to everyone!

Have been coming here for 5 years and it’s my go-to cafe in Queanbeyan. Love the friendly staff who always greet with a smile, and the food is super tasty. My daughter loves being able to pop in and out of the cafe to play in the indoor playground which I can see from the cafe.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST pancakes and peri peri burger I’ve had in Australia in my whole life. Melt in mouth, good portion, not too expensive! I can’t believe this place is not rated 5/5 maybe they had a different chef before, but this food was immaculate and I am cursed with sensitive Italian tastebuds, therefore trust me when I say food’s approved from my side:) Without worry take your most significant person there for a delicious meal!

Only 4 stars because nothing is perfect. We eat there twice a week because we really enjoy the food, it's tasty fresh produce, the salads are excellent. The staff are attentive and readily listen to suggestions for personal tastes. Even at very busy times their attention never wanes. Thoroughly recommend this venue, a great spot.

Amazing food, we had a lamb shank special and a duck risotto. So delicious! My son loved his Spaghetti also.

Unfortunately the pulled pork was not really pulled pork, More like pork clumps. Also over cooked! Chips where cold and we couldn’t enjoy our dinner either way due to the cleaning process going on while customers where still trying to enjoy their meals they had paid for.

The new ownership at Vanilla Pod really take the time to make their customers feel welcomed and comfortable. The food is never sub-par and always quick. The coffee is competitive with any other coffee in town. Love coming here

The food is always really good, so are the coffees. Staff are lovely and friendly, easy to be comfortable and familiar with. The specials are really good meals, especially salmon or steak which are regularly specials. Very kid friendly and accommodating.

It all starts here with the ordering. The friendliness and happy nature here sets the scene for the rest. The meal was delivered as ordered and quickly even though it was reasonably busy. Well priced for a great feed. Would recommend a visit

I have tried a number of dishes here and it is all consistently good. Today was the Blat which I would have again. I also love the atmosphere, especially the tables for two. I can sit by myself and not feel like I’m taking up space for a group. I hate it when there are only group size tables. Finally, thank you to the staff for saving a lost parcel for me. That was really nice. See you next time.

We always get friendly service, good food and great coffee at Vanilla Pod! The staff handled our large group very well today in a busy time. Little wait for meals and great service without being rushed out the door when we were done. Great local cafe.

Picked up 2 Coffees this morning I was very picky with what I wanted, different demands for two different coffees and they managed to deliver exactly what I asked for. Young lady on coffee machine did great job Great hospitality, great quality and quick service Will come back for more. Good work Vanilla Pod. Keep up the good work.

Always friendly, professional and welcoming. Food is fantastic, well cooked and tasty. Some changes have been made due to inflation (eg less fruit as a garnish) but they haven't raised prices as much as others have.

Got a nice iced chocolate and some fruit salad for lunch. The pricing was very reasonable, and the portions were very generous!

Great food choice on the menu, great prices of all food not too expensive, I had the pancakes and got a kids pancake, delicious, fresh fruit, and good serving size. We got our food quickly. Definitely a great spot to go get food if you’re in Queanbeyan.

My son absolutely loved the smoothies and mikshakes here. It was really yummy. An absolutely must visit place if you love delicious burgers, sandwich, toasts and fish and chips.

I was wondering if the cafe management had changed hands. The purchase of coffee and delivery to the table is generally very smooth. Today the Barrister was busy chatting. So I waited about 8 minutes. When I got my coffee the creamer on top was most unattractive. Usually a sign that the water was not hot enough so the pressure didn't produce a good creamer. Also the coffe was only just warm 🥴

Its a must visit place for Burger and sandwich lovers. Cannot get over the taste of the Aussie Burger which I had few days back here. Definitely the best I have tasted in the recent times. Highly recommended.

Came across this place by chances and as a result was a bit skeptical about trying some dishes but I must admit this I was taken by surprise when I ordered a Chicken Schnitzels for myself. It really tasted awesome and I now I cannot wait to go back and try some other dishes. Have already recommended quite a few friends and they also thanked me later for it. Absolutely recommended.
