My family and I have had a great time. All of the staff (front desk, restaurant, spa, entertainment etc..) have been friendly and helpful. They have many activities, which were all included in our stay. Some of which are kayak, canoe, bikes, mini golf, beach volleyball, shuffleboard and basketball. The outdoor pool and hot tubs were also very nice. The hotel is situated on a lake and offer great views. The only reason why I do give it 4 stars is because it is in need of some updates. The bathrooms are small, in need of a refresh. The AC units and screen doors are old and need to be fixed. Outside, the mini golf, basketball and shuffleboard areas all need improvement. Overall, great stay. No reason why I would not come back. Hopefully, some renovations will have already been completed.

Rooms are not the best. They were clean but they were only renovated at the minimum (floor and lighting). They had low quality soap, coffee. Don't expect any extras. The staff were the worst. Not helpful at all and border mean (our friend got yelled at for making a reservation at the restaurant for everyone (groupe in a wedding). No elevators so you'll have to carry your luggage up some stairs. The outside is beautiful. But I would not recommend. They really live up to their 3-stars and nothing more.

All the time we start with the nice things, after that are coming the bad ones. The place is very nice, a wonderful location, quiet, perfect for relaxation and recharging. Stuff members are very nice. The only complain which I have is that after we checked in I noticed that on the floor is a lot of dog hair (maybe from the previous guests), so the second day, I asked the receptionist that I would like to have the floor vacuumed because of the dog hair (we have a 3 years old son and he is playing on the floor with his toys), she said that will let housekeeping know, and will be done. Later during the day when we came back in the room we noticed that the floor didn't was vacuumed. The following day, I asked again the receptionist that I would like to have the floor vacuumed, she said that she will inform the housekeeping know, she even tali with housekeeping through walkie-talkie, and let her know. Later during the day when we came back in the room, surprise, the floor didn't was vacuumed. I was very disappointed since it was the only thing which we asked, we didn't asked to have the towels changed or something else. Beside that everything was good.

This is a hotel that should be so much better. We arrived at 9.30 in the evening after a long journey. We asked for a glass of wine to be told, bluntly, that the "bar is shut". We asked for something to be brought to the room, to which we were once again told that the bar is shut. There is no safe in the room, and the room felt tired as did the general furnishings around the building. The bathroom is about a 2 star, if that. The staff had the longest faces I can remember especially all of the staff in the restaurant. They clearly did not want to be there or want to serve customers. We turned up for breakfast on our first morning to be told that we would have had to have booked although we were not told this on arrival the previous evening. The same happened at dinner when the restaurant looked half full, yet we were told that as we had not booked there were no spaces left all evening. This was at 7pm. So we had to drive a distance away from the hotel to find some food. We didn't have kids but the games room downstairs looked like something out of a 1970's scout hut. This place needs a new look at itself as with care and some investment it might actually look and feel like a hotel in the 2020's rather than one from 25 years ago. We had a ground floor room. I think a herd of elephants must have booked the room upstairs such was the noise each time they walked anywhere. Worse was sitting outside beneath the balcony. This will fall down I am sure - certainly the creaking and groaning from the balcony suggests as much. Having said this the location is superb and is a good place to stay for Quebec City. Don't expect any modern day luxuries though.

Wonderful hotel. Service is great. I would only suggest having a microwave in the room, it would be easier for traveling with a baby, for example. The place is well located, a lot of things to do in family, or just relax. 2 pools, spa, kayaking, mini golf, etc Loved to know

A nice hotel in the nature. There is no tourist attraction around, you have to go to Quebec City for that (a 30 minute drive), but if you like a quiet place in nature, it is a perfect place. There is a mountain outdoor centre (Empire 47) right on the other side of the road of the hotel and there is Stoneham ski mountain nearby. The hotel has heated warm indoor and outdoor pools and spas, and an activity center on the premise with mini-golf, tennis, canoes, etc. There is only one restaurant around, the one in the hotel ( a fine restaurant), otherwise you have to go to Stoneham, and you are better to reserve your table (because when we went, it was full).

Giving 3 stars overall is decent. Here's why... Some staffs are friendly and welcoming, some don't. Room is clean BUT the washroom in our room (109) smells like piss. Toilet is leaking water all over the floor and it's just too tiny. No microwave in the room or around the area. Dont bother going to the restaurant if you don't have a reservation, they will give you different reasons why they can't take you in even though the dining are fully empty. Amenities and activities like pool, jacuzzi, golfing, basketball court, kayaking are definitely the best highlights of our stay. I love the outdoor pool area, jacuzzi and fire pit with the sunset/sunrise view. I just wish they upgrade their washroom cause it's definitely outdated.

Very nice place, rooms for balls and marriages are large. The hall where the bar is located is not well climatised and it is very warm/hot.

Wow. I beautiful, lovely and romantic places. Our teenagers loved the hot dry and wet saunas. The hot outdoors spas and cold bath. The interior pool is also great. The wifi routers failed during our stay, Internet was working but not well. this is only reason I gave 4 stars. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars. Personal considered and acted on the wifi problem. At some point it was really technically hard to solve without an expert on sure. We will come back for sure.

Cant beat location if you want to ride at Empire 47. Can't swim in the lake... restaurant needs booking , no walk in . Most likely because of staff shortage

The resort on the lake has snowshoeing and fat biking nearby. It's also in proximity to other amenities and winter activities. The staff from all departments are great along with the manager. Really want Quebec Federation of Snowmobile Clubs to get them on the map and help provide access to the property.

A great place to have a company/work dinner party. Easy access to bathroom, bar and coat check. Food was surprisingly good for a mass meal. Space to set up dance floor and DJ.

If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing, and nature filled setting, this is the hotel for you. The hotel has tons of charm, tranquil, and picturesque. Pros- location was phenomenal. Outside of town in a relaxing forest, with that quiet setting on the lake. The hotel had updates, including the bathrooms. The beds were comfortable, and even though the hotel was nearly full, I felt like we had our space. The hotel was clean. The pools were fantastic, they do have that spa like feel where there were no loud children running around. We did have our two school-age children with us, but they understood the temperament and demeanor of the pool was that of a relaxing feel. All of the kids we did see had the same respectfulness. There were also several saunas, an outdoor pool that was heated, several outdoor hot tubs, and then a waterfall cooling pool. Outside had tons to do including mini golf, kayaks, paddle boards, walking trails, many benches, swings, and rocking chairs. There was a pool attendant as well. Loved the patios as well. We even caught a few shooting stars sitting outside in the evening. Cons- The hotel did not have an elevator, and there were some stairs. Or maybe we just didn't see the elevator? The fitness center either has weird hours, or something happened where it wasn't open at 7:00 in the morning. Not a huge deal with the walking trails outside/all the athletic activities available. Overall, if we were in this area again we would definitely stay here. It was well worth the trip.

Lots to love and dislike about this place. So ill just list them: Good is: Amazing location near lake, 3 exteriors jacuzzi, 2 pools. Sauna is great. Lots of room but does not feel crowded Bad: Check in late a 4pm and our room was not even ready while check out is 11? No room cleaning. Restaurant is extremely sub-par vs what is at 5min car. Could show Gym abit more love Room are decent for 3*

This place is nice but there isn't any restaurants close by besides Tim Hortons, McDonald's etc. The rooms are nice but the "wi-fi" is very poor!! For the money you pay for a night here, you should get top notch superb speed internet.

The view of the lake is beautiful from the main event area balcony. And I got very drunk at a wedding here about 4 years ago.

This is another stop on our road trip and we got in late that evening. We were pleasantly surprised at the service as we had concerns about language barriers (since we only spoke English) but those concerns were alleviated by the staff of not only the front desk but the restaurant as well. We got there 10 minutes before reservation cut off time but we were still able to get an amazing meal before settling in for the night. A1 service by chef and servers. The steak and fish dishes were amazing. Just from our overnight visit we could see there was a lot to do here and based on location would be perfect for a weekend or vacation getaway. Didn't get to explore the property but got some pics in before leaving early that morning on a 10 hour drive. Worth a second trip for sure. Tip : If you're getting in late and you want food, you have to get there by 7:30 p.m. ...

Beautiful waterfront, indoor and outdoor pools and spas. Outdoor spa with view to the lake (16 and over) . Restaurant had no place for dinner, make sure to reserve or have a plan B. Breakfast not included, but with fair price for the buffet. Minigolf and kayak available. The room was clean, the bathroom needs update.

Excellent hotel situated north of Quebec. We got a very chic room on the third floor, it was very clean, A/C provided, it was very quiet stay. We had access to the indoor/outdoor pools, hot tubs, minigolf, 1 hour of access to canoes for the front lake. We will come back to enjoy the quietness of this place.

Great location very beautiful. Staff is friendly and the food is fantastic. One of the best hotel stays ever. It was my first time trying a Nordic SPA and it helped my sore muscles from my Spartan race. There is probably a reason why during my stay I saw a wedding reception and an anniversary party being held there. Great place.

Pros: - Nice, large site - Good restaurant - Lots of activities to do on site - bed and linens comfortable - clean (expect carpet that had stains but i think thats to be expected when you have carpets) Cons: - Rooms “with balcony” and no lake views are overpriced. It can work in the winter, but in the summer make sure you book a lake view room, it is definetly worth the extra $$$. We were given a room that had a shared balcony like in a hotel room and had a view on an empty lot and garbage containers. Plus, we had the noise from all the A/Cs working. - Wifi was not working well at all: it took me 20 minutes to do something on my phone that should’ve taken 5 minutes. This is something the hotel should improve.

I was there in March with my friends for 3 days. It is a very beautiful place, with fantastic winter views, very spacious room, as in the pictures. The staff ..very nice and polite! The food at the restaurant was delicious, so I recommend you try it. Spa and massage are worth a try if you want to relax. It is a very good location for families with children or for couples.I really recommend it!

Clean and confortable with excellent services! There could be more efforts towards sustainability on site: for example reduce single-use plastic at restaurant and in rooms (Kcups, shampoo etc.), replace lawn with ground covers that help maintain and restablish local biodiversity. The hotel is in a lovely spot and could benefit from a style that better respects nature, as currently it feels a bit like a golf resort.

A great place to stay. If you're lucky enough to get a good room (and chances are you will), you'll have a great view of a lake right from your balcony. Meals must be paid for, but are offered. Many activities such as canoeing and swimming are available.
