Great staff, last point before cell connectivity drops to 0 Update: Road to the Parcs Canada both: A large stretch of road loading to the booth has recently been paved. Was great driving to the park compared to last year. Mistagance campground: Stayed at Mistagance in 2022, clean and proper playground (no swings), clean bathrooms (cleaned and stocked at least once a day) Of note, if you stay near the playground area, expect children noises/screams. Heard some neighbors complaining about children... to me as long as they happen during the non curfew hours, it is to be expected. If looking for a quieter experience, must camp further away from playgrounds. Shawinigan Park and cascade trail: Visited Shawinigan Park and the waterfalls, great spot for cooling off, but can get busy at times. Hard to access with strollers/trolleys as there are steep climbs. Of note, the rental and canteen facility was understaffed during our visit, saw a lot of angry people due to long wait time and lack of information on staff location. We didn't use their services so not much a problem for us. Trails: Walked the "les falaises" trail with a 4 years old girl, took us 2.5 hours, lots of stairs and climbing, but if she can do it, most humans can as well. Very nice lookouts, not too busy trails. Can also connect with "les cascades" trail, for the water falls. Once again, great stay, and lots of activities.

Went for walk in the woods by one of the many lovely lakes with our kids and then a drive through the National Park from St-Mathieu to St-Jean-des-Piles (day ticket valid at all entrances). Beautiful wilderness, lakes and viewpoints throughout - a natural playground. We love visiting and will be back again for more exploring.

It was our second autumn here in Mauricie but this time the heating (wood burning Oven) was terrible and all 3 night stay passed freezing. The nature is Canada nature and beautiful but they did not equiped the area they rent with quality equipments.

The staff is super friendly, they speak clearly and give you good advice, the do and don’t. They make sure you have a great time.

A great explanation of the park by the ranger team! With tips on were to sée wildlife, not your everyday park-by-car speech ;)

Tranquil environment, well-maintained roads, bilingual staff, free EV chargers (Tesla and J1772), great park to explore for those who want a more remote/less popular setting than other national parks

Cost me $8.50 to ride the roads on my motorcycle. Totally worth it. Beautifully paved roads, sweeping turns, bikers dream. I would even go back and take the family for a camping trip.

Good sized car camping sites. Canoe camping on lac Caribou is good for beginners, just watch for wind.

It's best to go early and spend the day in the Park doing hikkings and playing with the water. Really good. I want to go back.

It is a National Park and the facilities were very good. The location was around an hours drive from the main highway. We particularly loved Lac Bouchard. There were some other spectacular view points. There was a beach, camping grounds, boating areas and trails. Overall, well worth the visit. 100% recommended.

The nicest park we've visited so far. Helpful staff, very clean, and well signposted. Did a couple of hikes and viewpoints. We didn't see bears, but a dear when exiting. You have to come early since the park is vast.
