Great park but a few minuses that recently have been happening. They charge so much for access to the beach and per person/car per day yet the bathroom is always filthy is not cleaned throughout the day. They have been allowing dogs now the past few years and it's a damn nightmare. You basically swim with dogs. Small kids on the beach and they have to fight for space with small children who are often scared of them. The staff otherwise are helpful, park neat overall, sprinkles for kids, etc.

We rented the "ready to camp" shelter/tent for 5 nights, good bike trails, very scenic and not too difficult, we even biked all the way to Granby Zoo, that was fun to spend a day there. Don't expect a "Beach" it's razor sharp rocks, we ended up renting stand-up paddles for a few hours a day to kill time, the 'lake' is not really a lake, it's border line pond but not the worst, we still managed to swim for short periods. There are proper washrooms with lots of sinks as well as showers. Ice cream stand is also open from time to time. Hiking trails are great, especially the ones you need to access via bike ride, we went deep into the forest, which was fun. I would say 5 days was a bit much, especially with extremely intoxicating neighbour's with uncontrollable noisy children, that didn't help, I would cut it to 3 nights, bring bikes to take advantage of the beautiful paths and views. Be wary of the raccoons! They are fun to look at but can be very noisy going through your dishes, keep your area clean! The sand that you may see in photos, that's for the volleyball area that no one uses, they really should extend the "beach" area so it actually does feel like a real beach.

Yamaska National Park's beach is an awesome spot for swimming, kayaking, and firing up the BBQ. Dive into the refreshing water, paddle away, and sizzle up some delicious eats. It's a triple threat of fun, sun, and good food!

Yamaska Beach proved to be a delightful experience for our family outing, offering an ideal balance between relaxation and adventure. The day started on an invigorating note with a morning jog along the clean, sandy beach. The calm and tranquil ambiance of the morning set the tone for the rest of the day. An added bonus was the bicycle rental facility nearby. It allowed us to take a scenic tour of the area, creating a sense of adventure while also keeping the kids entertained. The paths were safe and well-marked, offering an opportunity to enjoy the surrounding nature at its best. The beach itself was a highlight. It was well-maintained and spacious, enabling us to comfortably set up our spot without feeling crowded. The children loved playing in the sand and swimming in the calm, shallow waters. The adults, meanwhile, engaged in a lively game of beach volleyball, adding to the fun. Lunch was a picnic-style affair under our beach umbrella. While the area could benefit from more dining options, the lack of them didn’t hamper our enjoyment. In the afternoon, we took advantage of the paddle rental service. The calm sea and safe conditions were perfect for beginners and experienced paddlers alike, adding an adventurous twist to the day. We all had a fantastic time exploring the coastline from a different perspective. The day culminated with a stunning sunset, providing a gorgeous backdrop for family photos. Our beachside barbecue under the starry sky was the perfect conclusion to the day. While Yamaska Beach could benefit from improved local amenities, its natural beauty, cleanliness, and the fun activities it offers make it an excellent choice for a family day out. We wholeheartedly recommend it to families seeking a day of fun, adventure, and relaxation.

The lake had blue-green algae. Worst of all when I asked the staff they confirmed but no-one bothered to inform the multiple people swimming in the lake because the "beach was closed for the season". A simple signed would have been sufficient.

Great place for some beginner gravel biking. Tracks are very well maintained (less bumpy than some streets around my house) and the climbs aren't that hard (some 7%, but not for long). Amazing views as well.

I camped at this park in September 2023. I was struck by the number of people who were not camping but out for a bike ride, walking their dog, etc through the campground facilities. RVers should be aware of this as it could pose a security issue. The campground is not gated or monitored. And while the park itself is gated, staff do leave at 5pm and the gate is left open (and off close unmonitored). The campsites are clean and mostly level. The base, however, is crushed rock and sand which resulted in sand everywhere (it reminded me of camping at the beach). If you bring watercraft, you skulls know that there is no easy access to the water and you should be prepared to carry your canoe, kayak or SUP a distance from your vehicle. Finally, the dump station at this park leaves much to be desired. There is one dump station for the entire campground. Be prepared to wait and wait and wait. In addition, the dump station has potable wster only a few feet away. Completely unhygienic. I saw people filling their drinking water holding tank with the same hose people were rinsing their poop with (a white hose BTW not an orange hose). Gross.

Great easy hiking, roads are better for bikers than people on foot. Option to rent bikes, although they are very tall, not good for short people. There’s also option to rent small boats like a canoë, the sea was great.

I believe this lake which is located just in almost one hour out of Montreal, is one of the best lakes. You need to buy the tickets online mist of the times. You can rent kayaks or boards, bicycles and pedal boats. It is allowed to barbecue and drink. Bring anti insects medicines.

Today was our first time paddle boarding there and we absolutely enjoyed our day. We got to bring our dog not only swimming but on the raft too. Water is calm and there's not much water plants underwater. The beach area and washrooms are clean and the staff are all accomodating.

It was a very beautiful 😻 experience we would say. Today is 21, July 2023 we went to this park and we swam for an hour until the thunderstorm came. We decided to wait a bit until we left the park. The washrooms were very clean, there are lots of picnic tables and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Last weekend we went to the Yamaska National Park, they have in total 5 trails, 2 of them are pet friendly 🫶🏼 the sad thing is that they’re short. One is La Rivière of 2.5km and the other one is La Forestière of 5.5km. They were both easy and pretty. We didn’t found much views like the pictures, I guess they were on the other trails. They have good accessibility to toilets and there’s a spot where you can ask for information.

Parc Yamaska is a nice place to visit. It's clean, organized, and fill with children's fun activities. Families can spend the whole day barbecuing, swimming, hiking, and biking. I recommend that you reserve your tickets online.

Good place to change your mode. They have a bunch of bench picnic tables with a lake view. You have the ability to do a barbecue in the same place. There are a lot of activities such as volleyball, kayaking, and pédalo boat. If you are in the mode, you can go hiking and cycling.

"Yesterday, September 9th we visited YMaska Park, which is incredibly picturesque. It's a BBQ destination where they maintain a comfortable atmosphere. You can engage in camping and various water activities on the large lake, such as paddleboarding or kayaking. Additionally, there are plenty of scenic pathways for walking and excellent biking spots. It was a truly enjoyable experience."

Beautiful getaway destination if you want to go fishing, paddling, kayaking, biking or simply enjoy the beach and do BBQ. Equipment rental available. Shaded areas are taken rapidly so bring an umbrella or something else if you do not want to spend the day under the sun.

Very nice spot not too far from metro Montreal. The water is wonderful. Don’t forget to book parking and entry tickets in advance.

My wife and I are senior and visited Yamaska Park from Friday Ag 18 to Monday Ag 21. Friday we missed the turn coming in from Granby and had to go around for 15-20 min thru a dirt bumpy road to be able to enter the park. There should be a sign reminding drivers to turn to the left (or right) some 200 meters before the turn to enter the Park. We were in spot 86 and got there at 3 pm, water had accumulated at entrance and it was very muddy for us pedestrians in and out of our spot. We reported the problem next day and personnel came later during the day and placed sand and gravel and fixed the problem. Great experience although it rained hard all Saturday and at nite there was high volume music that could be heard from a concert miles away on Granby to mid night. A little uncomfortable.

We fit 1 night of camping in. Facilities are clean and easily accessible. Campgrounds are well maintained. The beach is also great, especially for young kids. Lots of rental facilities, it was like a Sup festival on the lake! Great SEPAQ close to Montréal., would highly recommend!

Just visited for the day. Bummed that there weren't any easily accessible maps to know the different trails. Cool to see that you could stay there in a cottage or tent.

Wonderful park part of the SEPAQ. The P1 parking gets full very quickly during the summer. The walk from P2 & P3 parking to the beach could be considered long, so bring a cart/trolley if you have many things to bring. There is an ice cream shop on site near the washroom facilities. You can rent pedalo, kayak, canoe, boat for fishing, and giant paddle board. Many picnic tables, a kids playground, hiking trails and many access to the lake with sanded beach. Overall a great place for family and friends gathering.

Bienvenue cyclistes sites available at main camping area. Cheap bicycle camping, many fireflies. Offsales at canteen. Great, affordable spot for bicycle tourists.

It is a beautiful place to relax in nature but there are some things you need to know. If you choose the tent, it might be dirty. We had spider webbs inside, lot of dirt on the floor and a mouse. So cleaning before leaving is a must because Sepaq does not seem to clean. There are raccoons that will bother you every night so food has to be stored outside, in a special container that is provided. We were visited by 9 little guys who smelled the bbq. One was even pulling the door to get inside :)) They provide food plates, utensils, pans, glasses etc but wash them before use because they might have been touched by mices. We spent some time on the lake but the water is green during the day due to the agriculture in the area. So swimming might not be a good idea. Apparently there is good fish like pike, walleyes etc., but we didn't get any.

Well maintained! Has absolutely everything you could ask for: clean bathrooms, rentals, camping, trails, lots of space, and picnic tables! Absolute jewel just an hour away from Montreal.

Nice beach, but now they charge for parking on top of the access fee. I already paid for access to the park, so it seems a bit like extortion to also make me pay an extra $10 for a parking. I would think that entry to the park would include parking!
