Great place to experience nature with friends for a weekend. Place is quiet and water is crystal clear but not too cold. Sunsets are gorgeous and fireplaces are warming. We took a ride to Rockport to grab nice healthy pizza 🍕 and look for a new boat at the local marina. Houses along the shores are gorgeous. We rode by and took a few pictures. I with I could live there one day. It would be good to visit the US side as well. Perhaps soon as COVID threat is over. Stay safe and happy.

Thousand islands is an extremely scenic destination. The cruise is a breathtaking voyage of the 1000 Islands, a great experience.

Was a great experience, despite heavy rain in the morning we decided to go as its closed deck. But we lucky as rain stopped just before boarding. Staff on ground and on board was very helpful and professional. We enjoyed the lunch in the upper deck as it was included in the package we chose. Overall it was beautiful experience and we had great views from the ship.

Nice spot to go camping, hiking or even have an outdoor picnic with your family. There’s a small fee of about $6-8 you’ve to pay on arrival at the visitor centre if you plan to hike or spend a couple of hours. Very scenic but if you’ve pets please remember to pick up after them.

Stayed at the 3B oTENTik with my dogs. Such a lovely place. Clean public washrooms and a cute park for kids. Even the outhouse was clean. Overall great experience, can't wait to return next year. There are also nice gazebos to have a picnic under. Overall this area felt extremely safe and well looked after. The closet trail was a little unkempt so I avoided it with my dogs because I was worried about ticks. I did manage to go to the other set of trails further down the parkway and the set of trails in Landon Bay. All those trails were beautiful and well kept. Some of the trails were on the side of a cliff with movable rocks, so careful if you have issues with mobility. The parking lots are very small at the trail heads but I was able to manage. The coolest part of my trip was hearing the coyotes howling in the middle of the night!

Leek Island 🥰 During World War I, Leek Island became a Military convalescent Hospital for Canadian soldiers. The affluent American couple, the Kips, transformed their summer home into a place of healing and recreation for the wounded soldiers, at their own expense.

It was 3.30 hrs journey from Mississauga to reach the rockport board line to start our journey to 1000 islands. Since it was a long weekend we had a journey of around 5.39 hrs to reach the place. But though it is, we were not at all disappointed with the spectacular views of 1000 islands. We took the rickport cruise with 2 hours trip for our island plan. Everywhere the view from the cruise is awesome, no words to express the sceneries.

It was our first time hiking Jones Creek trail. As always, the trails are very clean and well indicated. At each cross road, there’s a post indicating the name of the paths and a metal map (VS a wet laminated piece of paper that you can’t read anymore!) telling you were you are. At one point, you’ll reach a nice belvedere with chairs what you have a fantastic view. Bring a lunch, sit down, eat and enjoy the view!

Beautiful landscape of several tiny islands, some occupied others not. If you take the cruise you can appreciate the grandiose scenery. I would say the best time to visit are April or September as the weather is fresh and not too many tourists roaming. I have been here several times and every time I am amused. There is the option to visit a castle at one of the islands, you will need your passport to do so.

This is a beautiful place to relax. If you are looking for a quite and relaxing outing location, this is your best choice. You will have to bring your own food and drinks as there is not much eating options but that’s why this place is clean and peaceful.

Beautiful area, we visited during summer when the weather was amazing. Lots of things to do in the region. Would highly recommend exploring the islands from the water either by renting a boat or taking a sightseeing tour. We rented a sea-doo to explore ourselves which was a great experience. There are lots of beaches and park along the coast to relax and swim, countless opportunities for water sports (kayaking, paddle boarding etc) and great places to walk. We staying in a lovely hotel up the St Lawrence river in Brockville but camping and log cabins are another option. However not sure if I would recommend in the summer given the heat and humidity.

Our Ôtentik was on a nice site right on the water but it's a very busy noisy Campground with the highway near by, the train and the motorboats on the lake. The ôtentiks are also self check in which was a bit strange.

All the Government Park Islands are gorgeous. Some have camping and all for picnics. Great swimming! Island crews pick up garbage and keep the washrooms presentable. There are fees, but well worth the return with the beauty of the islands.

Nice easy hike. Lookout point with the chairs make it the "ultimate goal". Trails are very well maintain and clean. Trail blazing obvious and are set at short intervals.

Amazing area and 100% worth taking the cruise that transports you down river and round the many beautiful dotted islands . Some are inhabited with friendly residents waving at you and you will also see local wildlife and birdlife.

This is always a favourite stop on our way from Kingston to Brockville etc. Nice washrooms, pik nik tables with nice BBQs a couple pavilions, boat launch, playground and even yurts that can be rent. If your on your way from Toronto to Montreal this is a great stop for a break and to enjoy the 1000 islands.

This is our MUST-STOP a place whenever we are driving east of Toronto. It’s always a great feeling to sit and relax there while taking break from a day long drive.

👍 Nice park for a day trip. Nice small hiking trails with beautiful views of Landon's bay. Only issue is Exit Directions provided were not clear, this can be improved for visitors to walk around comfortably.
