What an amazing experience! This place is out of this world (or, at a minimum, out of this country). I've been to many high-end restaurants in Canada, but this is the best meal and overall experience I had. Every dish was incredibly creative, crafted with a long list of locally-sourced ingredients that worked wonders put together. We came for dinner, for which the only option is a "surprise" tasting menu and we shared the wine pairing as well, and it was a delight. Everything about the experience is wonderful, from the location (in a fromagerie/farm out of the city) through the plating, the amazing staff/owners, to the amazingly delicious dishes. I really hope to have an opportunity to go back again!

Excellent experience of true hospitality, welcome, team approach, local cuisine, and indoor-outdoor atmosphere. You must reserve in March or April for August meals. $100 5-course family-style-sharing lunch includes 5 alcohol pairings! They were even able to accommodate a small child very well with a modified menu for a lower price. Thank you to the whole team for your generous hospitality and true talent!

Driving here from La petite Rivière St François is about 15 min but a well worth drive. The concept is very nice and different from any place I visited. Every guest will eat the same meal from appetizers to desert. Every service is very well explained plus if you take the wine pairing we also get a description of the vignoble, the region and the flavor. They have 2 options for the pairing, 2 and 3 ounces. I took the 3 ounces and it was just enough. Flavorful, colorful, tasty, beautifully plated and most of the ingredients are from farmers around. Will go back as soon as I have a chance.

This is a place for anyone that wish to learn more about themselves troughs food. It's a currated experience of 6 to 7 serving. If you wish so you can get the accord with the food I highly recommend. Félix, the sommelier, has great taste and will suprise you with some of his accord. The food was amazing with a little bit of everything. Some plats are to share some are individual. They have acces to some very unique ingredients and most of their ingredients come from the Charlevoix region. The place is 10min away from Baie St-Paul and is a must for every serious food enthusiast. Love it. Thank you chef. Thank you Félix. And thank you La louve for telling us about it and setting us up!

I seriously came to Baie Saint Paul special to come to this restaurant and do a 7 course meal ❤️ The service is Exceptional! The chefs are Masters. The main chef came and described each dish after the whole dining room was served. They will gladly tell you everything in English. I highly recommend accompanying the meal with hand selected wines from the Sommelier of the restaurant! You will not regret! They are farm to table and serious about farm to table and supporting all local producers of meat, cheese, vegetables, fruit, fish 😀 Price is ultra reasonable for the unique care and time that goes into the preparation of each dish! To go here is a honor and event that you will remember and cherish. Please come and enjoy this gem in Quebec and celebrate the beauty in this place and your life! You deserve the greatest culinary experience that awaits you at Faux Bergers 😋😋

Best dining experience one could ask for. Food was excellent, wine pairing was delicious and thoughtful, customer service was exceptional. Brilliant concept where the chef speaks to the whole restaurant at the same time before each dish to create a very communal experience. Fantastic to know that 95% of the ingredients come from Quebec, and there is a back story you learn about all of the fresh produce & wine you are enjoying. Merci beaucoup! À la prochaine!

Excellent experience!! The food was absolutely amazing!! The simple way of explaining the process and the dish you will eat and the wine pairing, where the wine came from, how it was prepared. Everyone is bio and home made which makes the fishes even more special and tasty

We lucked it out booking a table fo dinner just a day prior. Québec région just does the justice to farm-to-table serving. All tables were placed with a name card and everyone arrived at the same time so the serving can commence. The chef will elaborate the presentations ringing the bell from the bar table. Very intimate environment and a bit challenging for French beginners like me. Our sommelier provided the English explanations afterwards :) Really fun experience with excellent wine selections (when the wine list looks really good, it is sort of a guarantee for a sign- they are passionate and serious to foods). I won't say too much about the actual dishes so the surprise won't be spoiled. Worth of booking way in advance if we ever plan to come back to Charlevoix, and so do you!

Great authentic food served by seasoned chefs! Definitely worth it. The only feedback is that it was better to clearly mention on the website that the wine is not included in the price

One of the most memorable and greatest meals I’ve had in a while. Everything from the attention to detail, the locally sourced ingredients, to the perfectly executed dishes were out of this world.

Amazing restaurant, very innovative and the staff is charming. Sadly it promotes biodynamic nonsense and therefore the insidious anthroposophic cult. It is sad to see a cult in many ways similar to the Scientology becoming popular and rich through its agricultural rituals. The few time I went there it has been a struggle :( . Therefore I can't recommend if you don't want to support religious lobbies that plagues part of Europe. If you don't care about it, it is still one of the best restaurant in the province.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant last week. The top quality local food was complemented perfectly with their great selection of organic wines. The portion sizes were generous and perfect for a several course menu. Although we went with our three little kids, the restaurant staff went above and beyond to accommodate our situation. While it may have been too much time for the kids (as expected), the staff were incredibly helpful and understanding throughout our meal. We were initially hesitant to travel 30 minutes to the restaurant from our hotel, but we were pleasantly surprised that it exceeded our expectations. The food and overall experience were well worth the journey. The way the staff explained each plate to all of us simultaneously added to the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. It made the dining experience more immersive and engaging. Due to our kids, we unfortunately didn't have time to try the cheese during our visit. However, we look forward to the opportunity to come back and taste it in the future. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for delicious local food and a welcoming atmosphere.
