This is a great place to do genealogical work if you have French Canadian ancestors from the Ille de Orleans, Quebec, Canada.

The young lady helped us with picking out books concerning my husband's ancestry on the island. Went way beyond what she was expected to do. Had a wonderful time there.

Beautiful place to have a picnic and to learn about the first families to settle here. There is woodmaker, Mr Marc Paquet that shows how to make wood spinning tops and other items. There is a lot of used books to buy and it help to fundraising to support the place

On a recent trip to Ile d'Orleans, we stopped in this history center. Our knowledge of Canadian history is limited, so we wanted to learn more. And we did. The displays are interesting and informative and Alec's enthusiasm for area history was contagious. We had a great visit, mostly because of his knowledge and willingness to share it! The grounds are great and well-maintained.

Fascinating history of the early French settlers to the Island and to Quebec. The centre has knowledgeable staff to help you with genealogical information about those 17th century pioneers.

The genealogy appointment that my family booked was excellent. The woman who helped us was thorough and engaged and excited. We learned a great deal about our family history and it was fascinating.

😠 I didn’t come to this place but I had the misfortune to pick up a bottle of Sainte-Famille Marquette Reserve in a small grocery in Quebec City. It was literally undrinkable, with some really horrifying sediment. We actually had to pour it down the sink, and I ain’t fussy. What a waste of money. Avoi...

👍👍 We weren't expecting anything when we went to visit the Drouin house, but we fell under the spell of this authentic house of yesteryear. This is mainly due to our experienced guide in history and the exceptional restoration of this house. And to believe that someone still lived there in the 1980s! N...
