When the water is on and the sun is out it's a great place to spend a few hours. However when I last visited the water had broken down and the caretaker couldn't get it working. At least there is a playground, but it's getting very tatty now and could do with some investment.

Bit underwhelming when you arrive and the waters off but can honestly say the kids were entertained for over 2 hours. We took buckets for them to collect water and got there early to get a spot. As free days out go, we’ll worth it on a warm day. Clean and toilets next door!

Fantastic day out with the little ones ona s hot day, my 1 year old had such a great time, it gets busy on weends If Really Warm but it's still excellent. Public toilets there, a play ground and an ice cream van that parks right outside on busy days.

Often forgotten small parking spot for the lower river dee, away from the city . Also in the summer , the small ferry operates across the river to the meadows- the last piece of common grazing ground left from the medieval ages .. a small play attraction is near by , which is handy for small kids in the summer. The car park however, is used by many people small boats to launch the craft, so it does get full rather quickly.

We absolutely love this place. It's brilliant for all ages. My kids love the water sensory area. The best thing about it is it's completely free!!!!!!

Great place to take the kids in the summer without spending lots of money. We also launch the kayak here and have a paddle up a d down the river. Love it here

The grass has not been cut. Looked a mess. First time I seen it looking like that. The Chester council must have spent the budget for the year. No grass cutting. Nice river. Been going all my life 66 now.

Loved the location and the fact there is plenty of space set out for all ages of the family. The public toilets could do with a spruce up a little tho i would say. The grass needs a bit of a trim too. Looks a bit unkempt. Those two things would have given it a 5 star

Over flowing bins, graffiti, fly tipping! It's a nice setting on the river but the council have some work to do to make this a safe place for small children.
