staff named SMITH in laboratory caused so much inconveniences to me just because he mistakenly overcharged us. This delayed the test results of my son for 2-3 weeks. It took that long because I'm the only one here in Manila and i have a job to attend to. I'm negotiating for a time when i could process it but they cannot. The inconsiderate refund-payment-process made my experience traumatizing. A very expensive tests and exhausting treatment are beyond worst. Not to mention that time I have to reach out AGAIN to follow up the missing test result.

While the doctors and nurses appear to be knowledgeable, sometimes even kind to patients and their accompanying relatives, the administration at this establishment is loaded with incompetent people. Almost every time we visit, it takes them several hours to figure out how much to charge. Until then of course the patient cannot be discharged. More often than not, we have to sit around for half a day for the next shift to arrive so someone from that shift could finally figure out how to fix their internal issues. Appointments are also not being managed effectively. Only 10% of our time spent here is about actual medical consultation or procedures, the rest is all about waiting for someone or something to be fixed or figured out. There is paid parking available, if you are lucky enough to find a spot. Most people just park elsewhere and take transit or taxi back and forth, then drive back and forth to drop off and pick up their already very sick loved ones.

Went here for a relative's biopsy via ultrasound procedure. Lots of ultrasound rooms, like Room 1-14. The corridors were clean but the rooms were old but sufficiently geared for the procedure. Staff were helpful but I found more proactive staff in other hospitals. Parking was as expected, so inadequate.

You'll really be frustrated with their service. DO YOU KNOW! The patient went to the hospital at 2 o'clock in the afternoon for a follow-up checkup. Because they were diagnosed with Leukemia and had a low CBC count. The patient often had fevers and felt weak. When they arrived at the hospital, they found out that their doctor was in another country. They didn't leave any message for the patient or any information to help them. The covering doctor arrived and said they should go to the ER for a blood transfusion. The patient was shocked at how many people were waiting and the long queue. Why was it like that? Shouldn't the doctor have known that with a low CBC count, a blood transfusion would be needed? The patient had informed the staff or nurses about this even before coming to the hospital, so there should have been preparations in advance. They shouldn't have said that there was no blood available, as many people had already donated blood for this patient. This unprofessional behavior by the staff at NKTI is disappointing. I hope this doesn't happen to others. Several hours have passed, and the hospital still hasn't done anything for the patient. They said it would be done by 7 am, but on June 10, the blood still hasn't been transfused. You should have at least sent the patient home and messaged them when the blood was ready, instead of having them sit in a wheelchair. My sibling and father are both ill. You kept saying "just a moment." Yes, just a moment, and my father would have collapsed from what you're doing. Instead of resting, he might get even sicker because of your delay. Especially the doctor who scheduled this and then wasn't even there.

They may have the best doctor but the patients may die waiting for their chaotic and jurassic first come first serve system. I don't understand why they don't have scheduling for patients checkup. Palakasan system is also in place where you are push down from the wait list if someone known to the secretary or doctor arrives. Instead of teaching patient to be punctual and come on time they are adding more damage to the sick and tired patient's body while waiting for their name to be called. And the signs where you should go is missing. you need to ask the guards instead of putting signages to help the people who enters the compound. chaotic from fhe compound and Jurassic system for handling patients. terrible service. Expensive. You pay the same amount if you go to private hospitals. and you will get better service.

I was here last week to exchange a GL (my husband is a dialysis patient) for some maintenance injections. We arrived 6:30am, I lined up to submit reqmnts to the guard of the social services, since I need endorsement from Social Service so that my husband can be checked up so we can get NKTI doctor's prescription, a requirement for the exchange of GL to medicines, etc. At the same time, my husband lined up for new patient registration. By the time it was his turn to register, I was able to get the endorsement from the guard. We were told that his name will be called 12:30pm and we will be given number for the check up. Past 12:30pm we got the number, 0154. Around 2:30pm our consultation with nephro was done and were given the prescription, completing our requiremnts. We went back to Social Services to get the charge slip and paid it on the cashier at the 2nd floor of the 1st bldg, the one which has the bank on the ground floor. Present your senior or pwd ID if you have one so you will pay only P200. Brought the receipt back to social services and waited our turn to be interviewed by social worker. It was already 5pm when we were done with the interview, so the next day I came back to proceed to credit and collection. I presented the orig GL to social services again to get a number for credit and collection. Once done, to ckd educator for the brochure and info on ckd. Finally to pharmacy, get a number again and wait to be called. Present patient and your ID. You must bring cooler for the injections. No cooler no meds. So that was it, a very long process as a lot of people were availing this opportunity, especially for dialysis which is a lifetime process and really draining one's resources. A lot of patience is needed here, 2 days to complete. It's just very uncomfortable and tiresome for the patients, whose health are very fragile :( NKTI has updated technolgy and the best doctors.

I hate the process here. So tedious, very very outdated, full of government red tape. They dont care, they deal with dialysis patients everyday and yet has no compassion at all. Patients are weak because they are sick, and yet so much red tape.

I like the grounds of this hospital because they have a tropical vibe due to lots of trees and plants. Most of the buildings are just around 3 stories so for me the spaces provide a good breathing space. The interiors and even the rooms are quite spacious. I prefer these kinds of hospitals than high rise ones.

They have bike racks where you can chain up your bike, that's good. Our other hospital requires that my girlfriend get a PCR swab test for covid before she gives birth in a few weeks. Testing hours are 7am to 9am, walk-in, no reservations. Regular price Php7400, down to Php1033 with a Philhealth discount.

Their hospital process is soooo outdated. Bureaucracy/red tape is extremely evident in this hospital. They should start employing automation and AI in their processes instead of relying on more admin staff/admin employees.

Easy for some people to say good things about the place when they are rich enough to pay what it cost, Philippines need more public emergency service for poor people so they dont have to pay cash, like here in Demark all people has a given right for healthcare and operations as needed.

I have visited some friends and relatives in this place. I am impressed because it is clean and safe. I was once lost but it did not last long because of the polite and prompt help that I got from one of their nurses. One can easily find it because it is along East Avenue, and right in Front of Quezon City Hall and also very near the Quezon City Circle. Two weeks ago, (July, 2018), I had the chance of being with my cousin whose husband is confined here. All the staff are very friendly and service -oriented. They are prompt and fast. They really connect with their patients. They are lively, cheerful, and kind. Having the chance to look around, I was truly amazed. There are two escalators going to the second floor, and several elevators in going to all the floors. The whole structure is amazing. The facilities are state of the art. The staff in charge of the billing, gives suggestions as to where to go and what to do in order to avail of discounts.

This feels like a private one even though is is a government run hospital. They have a lot of trees, parking slots, and a lot os specialist doctors. It is not very accessible through commute but here's how to commute to NKTI; Ride MRT, stop at QUEZON AVE walk to the street on the centris side, ride a jeep going to LITEX droop off sa circle first turn to the right. EAST ave, walk to NKTI, its very near. Or ride a jeep going ANONAS.

πŸ‘ŽπŸΌπŸ˜‘πŸ‘ŽπŸΌ Train your staff to be more compassionate to people who just lost their loved one or AT LEAST not call the deceased as β€œexpired”. Obviously you don’t care and you just want to do your job, but at least try to hide it. smh

stupid system, theyre all after your money. If you do not have enough money to deposit atleast half of your bills, they will not serve you. they will not assist you. they will ignore your calls. Nurses are not professional in terms of giving such information.

My mom was confined here two weeks ago due to kidney failure needing emergency dialysis. We had negative swab results on the same day. We were put in a mixed ER. Then on a pneumonia ward. Swab after 5 days in pnuemonia ward negative . Transferred to private room . On the 10th day my mom had cough. 12 th day she was swab again and result was now positive. Me and my mom both got covid . She is now at ICU. How come this hospital didnt clean or disinfect properly? We came in covid free ,now my mom is in comatose state and fighting for her life in.ICU

My father in law was there for 3 days in waiting room sitting in wheel chair. They made errors in intubation that resulted in him having a cardiac arrest. They couldn’t revive him. They also refused to give him a MUCH required blood transfusion because they didn’t have backup blood donation yet his own brother donated blood. Take your relative somewhere else if possible otherwise you will be hurting like my wife and family when this location fails to do their responsibilities. RIP

I hate this hospital. My dad died here. The doctors are rude and don't really care about their patients. Nurses look exhausted, but they are also rude too. I didn't feel any sense of urgency from them. We were in the emergency room for 2.5 days, and I witnessed patients fighting for their lives, but the doctors just watched without any sense of urgency. They see patients as numbers. If only we had the money, I would have taken my dad to a private hospital; maybe he would still be alive. It's free here, but you're not respected. There's one doctor here who talks to patients as if they're a bother. She's extremely rude and condescending. It's heartbreaking to see patients in agony being treated like that.

Your taxes working for you. NKTI has a Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scanner which can check for diseases of the body. This procedure is often expensive in private hospitals. They also have Robotic Laboratory.

The worst place to be if you are sick! My niece just passed away tonight in NKTI. She was given medication which developed into toxic epidermal necrolysis. These lesions covered her skin down to genitalia and then developed sepsis which eventually killed her. I would avoid this hospital at all costs.

My brother in law was transferred from a provincial hospital to National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI) Since arriving, we have received nothing but wonderful help from the staff and doctors. Doctors are fantastic and patience to explain details. Nurses were helpful enough to make us feel comfortable. This trip to NKTI has really changed my opinion of government hospitals.

In the past (since 2012) , result of lab tests, blood chemistry, urinalysis, etc. can be accessed online. Lately (starting last year) patients have to access their results from 2 machines located outside the reception of the laboratory. This afternoon I came back personally to get the results of my mom's urinalysis this morning. The two machines were dysfunctional and I still had to queue at the counter to get a copy of the test. I am wondering why it could be done before and not anymore. Is that retrogression instead of progression?

National Kidney and Transplant Institute is one of the after sought of hospital in Metro Manila. It accommodates those ailing patients with kidney dysfunctions. Due to numerous patients going in and out, if you have a patient with you, you have to go much earlier to avail of slot in out patient department. However if you have a personal doctor just a call for appointment is necessary.

No choice. The only public kidney hospital in the Philippines. If you are not close to death you will not be taken care of. line up at 7am you can enter the triage late at night, early in the morning or the next day before the doctor checks you up. no nurse comes out of the ER to check the vitals of the patients in line. There is no use for people. If you have money, just be St Lukes. K*pal guards, you think you are the heir of nkti. Lots of seats but no seats. The emergency ward is no different from the OPD, only the queue is waiting for you tomorrow. It's just that in the Philippines, if you're poor, you're going to die. Money is only money to fight here.
